This is great to find a support board for us over weight seniors. I also started a weight loss message board for seniors. Most of us are on some sort of low carb diet along with weight watchers. We could sure use some more great support and encourgement ideas etc. from ladies like us struggling with our weight in the golden years. We have a great bunch of ladies all with health and weight problems. Please come visit and if you like us please join our friendly group.

Hello Everyone:
If these are the golden years, then who knew? I have managed to put on 65# I'm trying to get off and as I'm sure you are finding out it sure doesn't come off as easy as it went on. Struggling with some medical problems and this weight, my doctor has put me on a medical fast - ten days into it and I weight in tonight. It's nice to be around others who aren't so young and full of energy!!! :x

This week-end was a total disaster. We had company come up and my husband (sweetheart that he is) fixed breakfast for them (bacon & pancakes) - could he have fixed anything that smelled better than coffee and bacon? Later he fixed fajitas and I blew it -- then to top everything off I ate chinese food, plus an eggroll. Today I've been good, so hopefully I'll undo whatever damage I did by thursday weight-in. :x

Hi, everyone. I am new here and just getting acquainted. I lost weight last year on the Richard Simmons program, and now I am trying to keep it off. I agree that it is harder to lose weight and keep it off as a senior, but it can be done. We need to stay focused as we continue to learn and live a more healthy lifestyle.

Nice to meet you all.
