I am not losing any weight, nor am I having any energy boasts. Friend is cheating with ice cream blizzards and lost more weight than me. Now I can't even make it through the first 3 days. Need a friend to help!!!
A non-cheating friend!

Dear temperance.... I think the first thing you need to do is never compare your progress or lack of it with anyone else. It'll spell disaster every time. Every one is so different. You're doing yourself a great dis-service by comparing. Just hang in there and keep doing what you've been doing and the weight will start to come off before you know it. I know for me when I'm not losing weight, my body is losing inches. Have you measured yourself? It's a good idea when you are starting any new program to measure yourself and measure once a week. Just pick a day and measure yourself that same day in teh morning and you'll see the inches coming off, too. Have patience with yourself and don't compare yourself to others. You are unique and that will make your progress even more special. Good luck to you....

Yes in deed, just as DJ says, we are all differant. You are not with your friend 24-7. You don't know what else she is eating. That could be her main meal for the day. Who knows. Our bodies are all differant. What works for me, might not work for you. You are wanting to live a healthier life for you, not for your friend. You need to first understand that is this something you want to do for yourself, or to please others? If it's to please others, you can not always please someone else. Who cares what other people do, or eat. Just think of your goals that you want to get to. You will do it. We can do anything if we set our minds to it. Watch how much you are eating, and what you are eating. Sodium, cal, fat. You can have all of that, just not a lot. Write it down if you can't keep it in your head through out the day. I started a journal, and now I don't even think about it any more. I know what I am eating and how much. It will all come to you. Exercise, exercise, exercise. You will the results if you cut back on some of the foods, and pick up on the moving. We get exercise from just cleaning. Do some aerobics, walking, what every you think that you will enjoy doing. I look forward to my work outs now. I feel so much better. For energy in the morning, I have a slimfast shake. I don't have a lot of time to cook early, so I have one of those, and get some cleaning done, and get my exercise in. I have a 3 month old baby and she has me up somtimes 5am. So I have very long days. By the time I have those done, I am full of energy and can't be stopped sometimes. You have come to the right place if you want a buddy. We are all here for support. Keep posting or email us. We will help you anyways we can. If I can loose 81 lbs, you can get to where you want to be.
Good luck to ya!
Stacey :-)

I know firsthand how frustrating it can be to watch others eat that way...and still lose. My husband for example can cheat like crazy on his diet...and lose...and if I eat an extra lettuce salad, I stall. I've come to the realization that being frustrated about my slower metabolism wont help these pounds come off. SO, we have to be honest and true to ourselves...(and try not to strangle the lucky cheaters with the quick metabolism!) Don't worry about it...when you reach your goal (AND YOU WILL!)...it will make the victory that much more satisfying! good luck! sarahs3826@cs.com
