Just got on the scale yesterday for the first time in years. I'm 5'11" and weighing in at 272. BUT ... no sense in getting down about it. It doesn't make me any less of a fantastic woman. More of one, in fact. lol. But it's time and I'm serious.

I'm hoping to find someone similar to me to exchange email encouragement. I'm 29, single, no children and I own a small PR/video firm. Anyone want to join forces to get back in shape? Drop me an email at carol911@hotmail.com. Thanks!

Guess what?! When I started out in December, I was 278 and I'm only 5'4"... So..... no matter what situation you are in, there is someone else on this planet conquering the same battle (and sometimes even more). Don't let yourself become overwhelmed, take it one day at a time. I always have to remind myself that this is not a diet, it is a way of life! Congrats on your decision to get healthy! sarah

Carol you have alot going for you. YOu know what a fantastic women you are. When I started to get my life back 2 months ago I didn't believe in me. My doctor said don't worry about the weight, Let's get you to like yourself first. Then we will tackle the weight. I made a list of all the things that bring me happiness. Hot baths, movies, good friends etc. And quess what? Walking, exercising and eating balanced health meals made my list. I do these things for me, to make my self happy. I've only lost 8 pounds in 2 months but you'd thinK I was at goal weight if you compared my old and new desposition. It's this change in life style choices that made every day easier. So keep at it. You can and will succeed Sandy

Thanks so much you guys! It helps so much just knowing that I can surf on in here and find just the kind of encouragement I need. I'm determined to do this naturally.. no stimulants.. no fads, nada. Now if I could just stop getting hungry at midnight.... (!) I'll check in soon. :)
