Yea, Yea, Yea, Meridith's mom.... way to go. 2 pounds is great and it sounds like you are on your way. If you can't find a picture of yourself that you think will give you incentive, try posting one up of someone that you think looks healthy and good and pin up their picture. It's just a reminder that you are looking for and that might just give you an edge. Good luck to you and keep up the great work. You're doing super!

2 lbs is the healthy way to go. You can do it. Just focus on what you need to do one day a time and when necessary the next. I never think long term anymore. I have played the games and been in denial and tried every fad diet on the planet. Now I am following the food pyramid. I can mentally keep track if I have had all my servings. I don't count calories, but I do weigh and measure food to make sure I am not over eating. I am on a low fat and low carbs (carbs are my enemy...goes to fat) and I average 1-2 lbs a week. I have a good friend is my exercise buddy and she motivates me when I don't want to go to the gym. As far as food...it was really hard for the first few weeks of changing my eating pattern, but now it is second nature. You can do it and you are worth it. Keep on up the good work also...post in the weekly weight loss board...gets you charged when you read how others are doing. Boo
