60 pounds gone already..you know you can do it..unfortunately the journey will have its ups and downs.
i had several times when i felt like i would never get there..but i did and so will you.
there are heaps of people here who understand what you are going through..kepp posting and doing what you are doing..what program did you follow to lose yoor 60 pounds?

Yesterday was a bad day.I have lost 60# in the last 18 months. I have another 90 to go and last night I did't think I could do it. I was lucky I found this place. I don't feel alone, none of my friends know what it's like to be fat, so they don't understand what it's like to go thru life like this. I hide behind my weight and now that it's coming off I'm really having problems, because I have nothing to hide behind anymore. I'm not alone right? Last night I went to bed sick because I had icecream and cookies for dinner. Today I'm back on my diet, but it doesn't seem like enough anymore. Will it ever get better?

60# is alot to lose and stick with it for 18 months... WOW!
I am a little envious of you (I just started and I have a long long way to go). I am so happy for you.
It is okay to fall sometimes we all do and then we try again. Most of us here have learned different things concerning our weight, I hide behind mine also and it is not easy when you are so afraid of being thin. You have already been kicking butt on this, don't stop now. Keep going. You can do it. No one can do it for you. Your not alone.
Stick with this place, it is a the first place I head for everyday and it helps alot.

thanks everyone. here's a little bit about what i'm doing.
i've mainly been doing the atkins thing. i've tried everything out there and low fat was not working. i would be starving after 2 weeks and then start eating everything i could get my hands on. then a friend of mine told me about a lady at work who was doing the low carb thing. i thought what do i have to lose?! i really liked because i NEVER felt hungry. and i didn't really feel deprived of anything because on sunday's my mom cooks for the whole family - 18 of us - and i would eat what she cooked - in moderation and taking bigger portions of meat and veggies. i was exercising then got real sick and stopped exercising but staying with the diet. i wasn't losing as fast but still losing the weight. then in january i started back on an exercise program - denise austin - because there's not alot of jumping around. but after i figured out i had lost 60# that's when i began to have problems. i was hiding behind my weight and have been on hold for about 3 months. but then another friend of mine got me going to water arobics with her and i love it!!! it's soooo much fun. and you sweat you *** off, but being in the water it's not that bad.

hello my name is Karen and i started at 307 and i made it down to 245 but i back to 260. it can be so hard. im also trying to lose it for my arthritis so i can get around easier. cookies and ice cream would be great for a meal but we cant take the calories out of them how wonderful life would be if we could smile. ive lost weight so many time now i tryng to get to 160 iwould be so happy. i cant stand being over 200 pds i can handle being a size 16 but not a 28 its so hard to fin clothes cheep. specilaty cost o much!!! I try walking but my joints hurt sometimes so bad it hurts. then sometimes i need encourgement ill say bye for now take care and keep up the good work. one day at a time you can do it!!! Karen

Jld and Webble I admire you for the wonderful progress you have made. You know you can do it. I agree it sure is hard. We all struggle and want to stop. We want to be normal we want to not have to watch our eating patterns. Keep at what you have started. Small steps in the right direction will get you to your goal. I know you can do it.

I know how it feels to hide behind my wieght. As long as I can rember my head has always siad if I were thin, I would have a boyfriend, if I were thin I would be more social, if I were thin... Whenever I loose wight I get scared because I might actually have to go out and do something. I also get scared because I dont want to gain it back. Start living life everyday weather you are heavy or thin right now. Youll be better off in the long run. Good luck with your continued wieght loss.
