I have been on a low carb diet since June1st and I am really liking how I feel. I have lost23 lbs so far but have a long wayto go like 110 more pounds to go. I have days were I dontsee any light at the end of the tunnel and could really use some diet buddies to talk to. I have been overweight for 20 years more or less and I am sick of this plus size life. I want to be small and fit for once in my life!! I have a Bowflex exerciser for one week now and am liking that. Anyone else out there doing any strength training to tone muscles?? I hope I hear from a lot of you BYE Sharon

Welcome to the group Sharon. I've been eating the low carb way since Jan/18th and have lost 41 pounds so far. I as well love this way of eating as it incorporates into the way I normally ate anyhow. Only difference is I don't touch potatoes, rice or bread...

Hi Sharon,
You've come to the right place for support and encouragement. I'm fairly new here but it is soooo nice to talk to people who understand. I have done some strength training, used to do a lot more but I kind of got lazy. When I was doing it though, it really worked. The only thing is that you might not loose as much weight, because you will build muscle, the bright side is that even though you weigh about the same, your cloths will probably get bigger, because a lb. of muscle takes up a lot less room then a lb. of fat. Also, the more muscle you have, the more calories you will burn at rest. :D
