I'm not quite sure exactly what I want to write, but saw about this site in Fitness magazine, and thought it sounded pretty cool. Don't know about others, but I can certainly use all the motivation help I can get. Am trying to go from 268 to 150 and have alot of trouble staying motivated for more than a few days. I made it two months one time, but then got discourged when I wasn't losing anything. Kinda of made it all seem pointless. But I'm trying again. Boy, just writing about this makes ya feel better doesn't it. The thought that somebody might understand where you are coming from in this battle. Thanks.

Welcome Chelle!

I too found this site in Fitness Magazine and I am glad I did. I have met a lot of wonderful people here. As nursered21 stated, we are family here and everyone understands what it's like to be on this weight loss journey. I believe most of us have our email addresses listed, so if you ever need a friend to talk with, email me or anyone of us. I think you'll like being here and will find the support and motivation to keep you on track.

Keep us posted on your success! Take care and Be strong!

Hello!

I'm still new here too, but I will tell you, I am glad I have found this site.

The lack of motavation thing I can relate to, too. In fact, I've only been on this current "diet" (not really a diet, more of a lifestyle change) for 2 weeks, and thats probably the longest I have ever been on any diet/weight loss program.

It does make you feel better to be able to write about it and get the support you need. Also, I've noticed that I can really annoy friends in family with all this "diet talk" especially cuz they think its another passing phaze, like all the other diets, and because they all eat junk, like I used to too. So, its nice to be able to come here and talk about it all I want. I mean, this diet is still a new thing for me and is on my mind a lot. I'm glad I can come here and just speak whats on my mind. :)

Hope you like this site as much as everyone here seems to... they all seem great! :D

Take care,
Mandi :)

Welcome, and yes, writing your true feelings does make you feel better. The people who read these posts understand exactly what you are going through. I was at 226, and am not at 139. It is hard to change the way that you were living for so long, but it does get easier. Make little changes here and there with your eating, and exercising, and before you know it, you do it without even thinking. I never would have thought I would be sitting here 87 lbs lighter. But I am so much happier, I have so much energy for my little girl for when she is up crawling around. My husband and I took things to another level, and my attitude twords myself has made him so much happier. He never once said I was fat, and never hated me for it. He loved me, I was the one with the problem. And now we are so much happier. The motivation for me is when the lbs and sizes dropped. I couldn't give in and let the weight win. I was so happy with the progress I was making, I wanted to see more results. It is very hard in the beginning, but just don't give in this time. You be the one standing at goal and laugh and say, I won this time!!!!! We are here for motivation, and support when you need it. If you think that you let yourself down one day, get up the next day, and continue on twords your goal. Maybe add a 10 more mins to your walk, or your work out. You will be a stronger person. I know I am. Take care and hope to read more from you.
Stacey :)
