2 Down in 7 Days Weekly Challenge!

Join us at anytime!

Here's a challenge to you all. Let's all be 2 lbs. down in 7 days!
Everyone is WELCOME! We'll be there for you.
Sometimes we don't meet the challenge, but we stay on track and really support each other.

Rules of the Challenge:

1. Try to drink all your water.

2. Try to do some kind of exercise daily (even if it's housework with a little extra umph!).

3. Post to the board at least once a day and include a challenge for yourself. -- Whether it be drinking your water, or passing up that extra portion, saying no to that piece of cake, or exercising when you just didn't feel like it.

4. Encourage each other to stay strong this week to accomplish our 2 down.

Boy we'll feel good on day 7!

Please join no matter what day! We'll count to 7 with you!

This will be a continuous 7 day Challenge.

A new message thread will be started for each of the seven days.

AHHHH! It's so late to be starting the post, sorry if any of you came early to find it. The baby actually let me sleep in for the first time in 3 1/2 months!

Okay, so how did everyone do yesterday?

Dosflores, did you meet your dinner time challenge? I hope you read my post yesterday with tips that helped me with the same problem.

Today is going to be great! Weekends are always a double-challenge for folks because food is sooo accessible (sp?). If you find yourself heading for the kitchen today, re-route yourself to the computer instead and post to the board. It will hopefully help you to get your cravings in check.

That will be my personal challege today. I'm going to flee the kitchen and run to you guys for help so I can avoid the "weekend snackfest".

Have a great one everybody! Look forward to hearing from you.

Good Morning Challengers

I found you, finally! Got carried away picking peas in the garden last night and it took me 3 hours to shell everything so that I could process them today. Since I'll be working all day either in the garden or processing what I pick getting the water in or the proper amount of food should be easy, that makes exercise my challenge of the day. My plan is to take a 5-mile walk right after lunch (before I get sleepy).

Glad to see more X-eDieters here and welcome to all our new friends.

Stats:

Age 45 (almost 46)
Single (no children)
Pets: 2 horses, 1 dog, 4 cats
Hobbies 0ther than Animals - gardening, fishing, hunting, crafts, sewing
Occupation: Secretary
State: Minnesota

Have a wonderful day everyone. May you meet challenge for today what ever it is.

Morning Katie! So glad you found the board. I saved a link to it in my favorites to save some time.

A 5 mile walk! You go girl. Shouldn't be a problem for you with all the stair climbing you do. Missed you yesterday. Did you read Can't Weight's poem?

Go to the diettalk homepage and you'll see the HORSE NUTS! thread.

Hi everyone! Thanks Kat, I've been wanting to get really motivated again, and this is the perfect place to do it. Well, even though I'm jumping on at the second day of the challenge, I know I can still meet the 2 pound goal. The challenge I set out for myself today is to walk for 3 miles this morning. I've been so busy with work and responsibilities at home, that I have neglected my exercise. No more! I need to do this for myself. Good luck to everyone today!

Glad to have you Marianne! You and Katie are ambitious today!

I need to take your enthusiasm about exercise for myself. Not an area I do well in yet.

I hope we all can get 2-Down this week but making an effort and keeping our health in the front of our minds is what's important. I have only made the 2-Down actually twice with my last Challenge group and that was over 12 weeks so nobody get discouraged if you don't actually get 2-Down. We'll do what we can and hope for the best!

C Ya!

Hi everyone.... I posted under the weekend goal post, but I will post here as well. I am pledging to walk today. I will walk a minumum of 1 & 1/2 miles, but we'll see. I think that shot of cortisone I got Thursday kicked in sometime last night. I woke up this morning feeling great.... orthopedist is the "cortisone king" LOL and I knew he'd do that to my knee when I went in, but now maybe I'll have some relief for a couple of months. My eating is good so far today and so is my water. Talk to you all soon!

Hello everybody. I did manage to get my walk in. I did 1.6 miles on the treadmill today. I wanted to do 3,and I really fought hard to do that, but I think my challenge was a tad bit too much for me right now. So, I think I'll keep it at 1.5 for now. Better to be consistent, then overdo it. My eatings been good so far today, and I've gotten most of my water in. Hi DJ and Nursered! Good luck everybody!

Way to go Marianne. I've yet to get my walking in but will do so after the baby is to bed...which will be soon (as she fusses in her swing).

I too have done well on my eating. My max cal intake is set at 1780 and I'm only at 1520! I could have a litte snack tonight and still be at the "losing calorie level".

Dietwatch.com is a free site I also participate in. Have heard a lot of mix emotions on peoples liking it or not. I love it and it's tools. It has a calculator that you input your current weight/height and what you'd like to weigh. It will then calculate the amount of calories/fat gm you should consume a day to keep from starving but not too many that you can't lose. You all might take a peak. I will say that their message boards are poor, that's why I found diettalk!

Keep it up everyone! We can do this!

Just checking in one more time before bed. I managed my 5-mile walk, boy are my legs tired. Of course, all the standing I did while processing food from the garden probably contributed some to that. I also managed to drink all my water and stay under my 1400 calorie limit for the day. I'm trying to see how many days in a row I can stay with my program, sort of a personal challenge to myself. I'm going to keep track so that I'll be able to continue to challenge myself. Tomorrow promises rain so I'll do my step aerobics tape early in the morning. That will give me the excuse to sit around in the afternoon and read a book. Hope all had a good day.

Great job Katie. I didn't go 5 miles, but I did get some walking in. It's a start. Tomorrow I'll be bathing and clipping the horse (first time for clippers) so that will be plenty of exercise!

Good Lord you women are killing me! 5 miles?

FIVE MILES?!?!?!

Dosflores, The Human Slug.
Well, my dinner table problem was avoided all together when hubby decided he wanted Chinese food and took us out. I had it pretty together and drank all my water and then some today, about 8 20oz. glasses.
Then for some inexplicable reason I ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich about 9:30. Don't know why, had to have it. And man! Talk about a poor choice; have you ever figured the cals and fat in a simple PB&J? Outrageous! Around 300! And of course a big glass of milk, to kick that "snack" up to almost 400. http://www.diettalk.com/uub//frown.gif

Ah well. C'est la porky vie.
I'll just have to buckle down tomorrow.

How shall I celebrate 220? The longer I take to get there, the more I want it.
:)
