Friday, March 16th - Yesterday was finally a successful day. I stuck to my food plan, did not snack between meals and even ate healthy in a restaurant at dinnertime! Then, went to Super K and walked around for an hour and a half instead of vegging out on the couch in front of the TV. Blood sugars were all good yesterday and this morning's fasting reading was 125! Excellent! Swam for an hour this morning. Had 8 oz. of Dannon Lite 'n Fit yogurt, half cup of sugar-free cereal and a bananna for breakfast. Drank a bottle and a half of water so far. (10:00 a.m.) Going out to lunch today. The goal is to eat healthy!!! :)
Saturday, St. Pat's Day
Got in for a workout this morning. Slow moving. Back on Desyrel for about 4 days now, hoping to sleep better. I sleep well after I get to sleep, but still takes a while. Felt hungover this morning. Anyway, my BS was 142 before breakfast. Had an egg mcmuffin and a small OJ, then worked out. By the time I got home for some lunch, it was 87! Love those readings. Have a pot of corned beef & cabbage on the stove and a loaf of french bread in the breadmaker. Smells so good! Made a sugar-free, low fat cheesecake w/fresh raspberries on top. As soon as the bread's done, we can eat and am I hungry!! I'm encouraged that I'm not craving sugar. Thinking about going to the Y again tomorrow. Getting addicted to the workout routine!
Monday, March 19th
Had a good weekend. BS's were good except for one yesterday mid-morning, probably because I thought 2 pieces of the diet cheesecake would be a good breakfast. Not! Was up to 242! Won't do that again. Ate well the rest of the day. Had a good day today made of a snack basket, all around 100 calories. Took lots of healthy stuff to work today and had a good workout this morning. Got weighed at doc's after work. Down 5 of my 18-1/2 lbs. 13-1/2 to go by July 4th.
