I have only been on a new life plan for eating (the word diet is thrown out the window never to be said again) for 1 day. Today started day 2. I feel so positive about this life style change. Yesterday I stuck to eating moderately and healthy. Water is my new best friend, I haven't spent enough time hanging with her lately. My exercise for yesterday was digging and pulling grass out of a flower bed. That was several hours work but I took it slowly. Toward bed time I felt the results, so I took a long soak in the tub and went to bed. The 8 hours sleep was wonderful. Today is going to be a good one, I feel great. :x

Good to see that you are eating healthy and yes you need to get with your best friend water and start drinking more water. Working in the garden can be good exercise so it looks like you're on your way to a healthy lifestyle ;)

I don't seem to be very good at journaling, but I do love this site. I know if I keep at this journal it will help me a lot.

I love coming to diettalk everyday and reading how everyone is doing. It seems a lot of everyone else's trials of losing weight are the same as mine. I have read some of the past post and have gotten so much from them.

I am going along pretty good with changing my eating habits and drinking water is such a boost for me. I keep a bottle of water with me at all times!

My first week loss of 2 pounds wasn't monumental but it was a loss and I am on my way. I just have to realize I didn't gain it all in a week and it will take several months to get it off. Then I will be ready for a lifetime of good eating habits and a smaller me. I have decided to not dwell on the big picture, I am going to concentrate on smaller goals of a few pounds at a time. Losing some every month will get me where I want to be. :)

Now I have a setback.... :( While trying to stay active I have strained a muscle in my neck. I didn't get a lot of sleep last night. I spent my time today between lying on the floor and sitting straight in a chair. Those two postitions are the only ones with any relief at all for the pain. I didn't do well today. I drank some water, but couldn't get around well enough or even thought about it a lot to get up and get it. I am feeling some better tonight. I know this is just a minor setback and if I take care of myself it will start feeling better soon. But it is a little disheartening. I am hoping for a descent nights sleep and being able to move without so much pain tomorrow. Sigh.....I know everything will be okay and I will get back to being active after I take it easy and let it heal.
