Hello all. I haven't been here in a while and a lot has changed. Well I really like this journal thing going on. I had shed a great deal of weight only to gain it back. I am at it again. I am presently at 248 and am probably not going to weigh again until the beginning of May when I go back to the Doctor. We will see how it goes. I have decided that if I mess up I'm going to tell myself it is o.k. and start over. That is the hardest part for me.
Also I am following the food pyramid. I am going to make it a life change, not a diet. I am finding it hard to fit in all the breads, cereal rice and pasta's. Is anyone else following the pyramid and if so does anyone have any suggestions.

lunch-grilled chicken cool wrap from chic-fil-a with fat free honey dijon dressing and a small diet lemonade.

Dinner-Fish over brown rice and 2 servings of cauliflower w/ low fat cheese sauce.

Breakfast-Grape Nut's heated in the microwave with milk and a teaspoon of sugar. Grapefruit juice.
snack-Strawberry's
lunch-Beef vegetable soup, wheat ritz crackers, orange, diet sprite.
snack-Strawberry/mango low fat yogurt w/ wheat germ in it.
Dinner-Lean cut porch chop with scalloped potatoes and green beans.

Breakfast-Orange/cranberry bagel w/ small amount of brumel and brown. Cantaloupe and small glass of grapefruit juice.
lunch-2 boiled eggs, and 1/2 of avacado sandwich.
Gepetto: I have had two grilled chicken cool wraps and they are soooo good. THey are nice and crunchy. They have lots of lettuce, cabbage etc.... Also just incase anyone hasn't heard, McDonald's is supposed to be coming out with a fruit and yogurt cup (I saw a commercial). However, they haven't come to my town yet. If anyone else get them in their town and happens to try it please let me know how it is. Thanks.

Snack-Apple
Dinner-Subway 6" roasted chicken on wheat w/lettuce, tomato, black olives, sweet peppers, honey mustard, vinegar and salt and pepper. It was really good. I've never had a sub w/ vinegar on it.
I also had 2 scoops of Edye's Grand Light Strawberry Shortcake ice cream.

Well today my husband and I took the boat to the lake and did some fishing. We were real busy catching so didn't have a lot of time to eat. Just got home and am exhausted. But what fun we had. It was just a beautiful day here in Georgia too.
Breakfast-Granola cereal w/ skim milk and a small glass of grapefruit juice.
snack-orange and banana
Quick lunch-Cottage cheese and rasberry's.
Dinner-Blimpie 6" roasted chicken on wheat w/ lettuce, tomato, black olives, sweet peppers, honey mustard, vinegar and salt and pepper. I also had some left over green beans and a v8.

Today was challenging. A client brought us lunch to say thank you for all the work we have done for her. It was real sweet of her.
I had reasonable portions and don't feel guilty.
Breakfast-Grapenut's w/ milk and heated in the microwave w/a teaspoon of sugar. Some cantaloupe and a small glass of grapefruit juice.
snack-banana
Lunch-Pasta Supreme(pasta in a cream sauce w/ chicken and mushrooms.)Salad w/ french dressing, 1 piece of cheese bread and a little bit of banana pudding. All were reasonable portions and I feel great. I didn't over do it.
Dinner-Rice a roni cajun w/ chicken in it and some corn.

Lunch-orange, coconut yogurt w/ wheat germ. a lunch bucket chicken and dumplins and a v8.
Dinner-6" subway roasted chicken on wheat w/ lettuce, tomato's, black olives and honey mustard. I also had some wow potato chips.

Desert-Couple bites of husband's banana pudding and a small bowl of Edye's Grand Light Strawberry shortcake ice cream.
4-11-01

Lunch-1/2 of avocado on peice of toasted bread w/ light mayo and salt. Also a key lime pie Yoplait light yogurt.

4-12-01
Today was my day off so I cleaned. Boy did I clean. Base boards, cracks, ceilings etc.. It all got clean. Also all spring/Summer clothes are out and winter ones put away. I've been busy!
Breakfast-grapenuts in milk warmed up w/ little bit of sugar. Small glass of grapefruit juice and some cantaloupe.
snack-raw carrots
Lunch-Wendy's Grilled chicken salad w/ Fat free french dressing. Glass of milk.
Dinner-Some low fat baked chicken fingers and 2 servings of broccoli in low fat butter sauce.
I was really craving veggies today.
Three more weeks and then I go back to the doctor. My test results were good. No problem w/ my thyroid. There is a history of it in my family so my mother thought I should have it checked. Can't wait to see what I weigh when I go back on 5-3-01. My goal is to weigh 235.

Lunch-A lunch bucket-Beef stew, 5 ritz wheat crackers, straberry cheesecake yogurt w/ wheat germ in it and a v8.
snack-individual sized trail mix.
Dinner-6" wheat turkey sub w/ lettuce, tomato, black olives, light mayo, vinegar, salt and pepper from Subs and Such w/ wow potato chips and a diet caffeine free cherry coke.
I was real tired today for some reason but overall the day went pretty good.

Breakfast-Blueberry morning cereal w/ skim milk, red seadless grapes and a small glass of grapefruit juice.
snack-orange
Lunch-Golden mushroom soup w/ a grilled cheese (Fat free american cheese on wheat bread and butter pam).
That is it so far. I am really resisting today. My mother in-law is here (It's a long story) and she brought a lot of sweet stuff. She is a diabetic so everything is sugar free but it has a lot of fat and calories. So far I have not given into her many offerings.

Try not to give in to the temptations, you will reach your goal faster. It is good that you have also worked some treats into your diet, so that you won't feel totally deprived. At least she brought sugar free. It you do happen to give it, use portion control. I know that if you keep at it, you will make your goal. Best wishes. -Jennalynn :)
Thanks Jennalynn for your reply. I am really trying hard at this. I want to succeed this time. What kind of diet are you doing and how much do you have to lose? Just wondering.

afternoon snack-Pina colada lowfat yogurt w/ wheat germ.
Dinner-Shake n bake chicken w/ broccoli in low fat cheese sauce and corn.
Evening snack-2 Fig newton bars.
4-15-01 Easter Day
Nothing much planned for today, mother in-law is still here. Husband will be taking her home this afternoon.
Breakfast-Blueberry morning cereal w/ skim milk and grapefruit juice.

4-15-01 (Continuation)
Lunch-Baked potato w/ chives and brumel and brown butter. Also a salad w/ fat free french dressing.
snack-red seedless grapes and a banana.
Dinner-Low fat frozen dinner(Eggplant parmisean w/ pasta in marinara sauce and some left over corn and broccoli in low fat cheese sauce.
Husband took mother in-law home a little while ago. I asked her nicely to take all the sweets with her or to throw them away.

lunch-Chef boyardee lunch bucket (Chicken w/ rice and veggies), an orange, a light yogurt and a v8.
Snack-I had 1 peice of chocolate candy w/ rasberry in the middle.
Dinner-Hamburger Helper(Lasagna)Made w/ lean venison. Also two servings of asparigus, a piece of wheat bread and some skim milk.
That is it for today. Was real busy at work today, feet and legs hurt (Was also wearing new shoes and that didn't help).

Breakfast-Blueberry morning cereal w/ skim milk. Some grapefruit juice.
snack-banana
Lunch-Lunch bucket(noodles w/ chicken and veggies). An orange, some yogurt w/ wheat germ and a v8.
Dinner-Healthy choice dinner(BBQ chicken, corn w/ carrots and some potatoes. I also had a glass of skim milk.
Evening snack-I might have a small bowl of Edye's low fat ice cream-Strawberry shortcake.
Today was good. I am not drinking or eating anything diet(w/ artificial sweetener) because there is a possiblity that I could be pregnant (4 days late today) so I am just eating healthy. (See my post in M&P Issues).

Dinner-I splurged today, I had my husband bring home 10 honey bbq chicken wings w/ celery and low fat ranch dressing and a roll. For a snack before dinner while waiting for my husband to get home I had some wheat crackers and 1 fig newton.
4-19-01
Last night I took a pregnancy test and the result was negative. I also went to the doctor this morning and the test there was negative also. Still waiting for my monthly. She told me to wait about 2 more weeks and if I haven't gotten it to take another test and if it is negative she will give me some pills to make me start.
Breakfast-Granola cereal in skim milk.
Lunch-6" turkey sub on wheat w/ lettuce, tomato, black olives, light mayo, and vinegar(From subs n such).
That is it so far.

4-18-01 Continuation
Dinner-Grilled chicken wrap from w/ fat free dijon dressing and a carrot/raisin salad from chic-fil-a.
Evening snack-Well I kind of splurged. I had a chocolate bunny that my boss gave me for easter last week. I wasn't going to eat it but I really wanted something sweet so I told myself it is o.k. If I don't eat it I will binge and eat eveverything in site like I used to do. Normally I would freak out about this and totally blow my diet but I told myself I have to allow myself something sweet every now and then and it's not going to kill me. I did excercise tonight on my eliptical walker. I also helped my husband mow the grass etc......I'm not trying to explain it I just thought I would let everyone view my new way of thinking incase anyone reads my posts.

Thought I would just let you know that I read your posts.
I think that's a really big step, when you can eat something sweet, and then go on, and not let it ruin everything (whatever that means).

Hi miss Chuckle. Glad to know you read my posts.
Today the doctor I work for took me to lunch. 4-10-01 was my 1 year anniversary working for her. She told me how much she loved working with me and how much she really appreciated me. That sure does feel good. I work really hard and with the work I do (Veterinarian Nurse) there is a lot of heart and soul in it. It's nice to be recognized once in a while. She not only took me to lunch but she also gave me $30.00 in gift certificates for Longhorne Steakhouse. They have great salmon and veggies. I will also be getting another raise in July. Last July it was almost $2.00 an hour more.
Breakfast-Granola cereal w/ skim milk. Grapes and a little glass of grapefruit juice.
Lunch-Grilled chicken on top of a baked potato w/ a little cheese and low fat ranch dressing. Also a side of green beans and a diet pepsi.
Dinner-Low fat frozen dinner-Chicken lo mein w/ veggies.
That's about it for today. I have to work tomorrow and then we are having some family out Sunday for a BBQ. I am going to serve regular and low fat hot dogs. Regular and wow chips. A veggie and fruit tray etc....There will be about 10 adults and 3 children. We are going to play badmitten and volley ball. We are going to have a blast.

Breakfast-Granola cereal w/ skim milk and some grapefruit juice.
snack-cottage cheese w/ peaches
Lunch-6" sub on wheat w/ chunks of chicken, vinegar, salt, pepper, oregano, marinara sauce, mushrooms and then warmed. Then they put lettuce, tomato and a little bit of lite mayo on it. I got it at my little sub shop up the street from my job called subs n such. It was good.
snack-Some goldfish crackers.
Dinner-Uncle Ben's shrimp w/ pasta in a cheese sauce w/ veggies and a glass of skim milk.
I wasn't real hungry at dinner but I went ahead and ate because it was 8p.m. and I knew if I didn't, I would want to eat much later. I have been having a stomach ache off and on for a few days, it's right under my ribs. I think it might be stress. Family coming over tomorrow and I am hostessing the party, still don't have my period etc.....

Well today was the Spring family party at our house. We had a lot of fun. I did go off my diet quite a bit although I had planned not to. Sweet stuff just keeps calling my name.
Breakfast-Granola cereal w/ skim milk and a glass of grapefruit juice.
Snack-cantaloupe and grapes.
Lunch/Dinner-1 low fat hot dog on a lite wheat bun, wow potato chips, macaroni salad, carrots, celery, and broccol w/ spinach dip. I also had a small roll w/ some chopped bbq chicken in it.
Dessert-1 small slice of chocolate cake and 1 small slice of coconut cake.
After everyone left I made the mistake and I had another peice of chocolate and coconut cake. I tried to get someone to take it home but they wouldn't. I told my husband I was going to throw them away and he said no, I want some for later. After I ate the last two peices I told him whatever was left before we go to bed goes in the garbage.
Overall I guess I didn't do too bad. I did drink lots of water today and diet soda. I also played badmitten and played w/ the dog.
Tomorrow is a new day.

Lunch-An orange, some fresh veggies w/ lite ranch dip (broccoli, celery and carrots). I also had some vegetable soup w/ wheat ritz crackers.

Dinner-Chicken and rice w/ peas and sliced tomato w/ salt and pepper.
Today was really good. I have been real tired though. Well, time to make my lunch bag for tomorrow, fold some laundry and empty the dishwasher.

Well I haven't posted in a while. I have been battling with wether or not I am pregnant. I took a pregnancy test Wednesday and it was negative. I took another last night because all day I was real tired etc. and it was positive. I went to the doctor today (Family practice) to confirm it and their urine test was negative. I am never going back to that doctor's office again. It was the only one open on a Saturday. Anyway it is about to kill me. I am a worry wort and with the kind of work I do I need to know wether I need to be careful or not. Well I already have an appointment on thursday with my internal med doctor and I will have them do a blood test. My husband and I are flying to AZ on the 5th and will be coming back on the 12th. I would like to know if I am before I go so my mother, grandmother and myself can celebrate. I only get to see them about once a year.
Well that's about it. I haven't been eating my best but I haven't done real bad either.
I will let you know.
