WOW!! 8-}
I talked with Sooz and I think the other one was Nanadeb123 (if that's not right, sorry) in the chat room last night and they suggested I try journaling. I didn't realize the meant PUBLIC Journaling. This is scary, but maybe it's the jolt I need to get me going. I'm doing an exercise challange on another site I hang out in and posting my execising has helped me there, so maybe this will work too.

Here goes:

Saturday 5/26/01 weight 263

Upon arrising: 1 scoop Knox Mutri-Joint combined with 6 oz orange juice.
Breakfast: McDonald's Yogurt parfait, 1 large coffee. Lunch: 6"Subway roast chicken sandwich w/honey mustard dressing
I'll see if I can find the nutritional info and add it later. As you can see I do okay early in the day.
380cal 5 gfat 10gprotein for breakfast

311cal 6gfat 25gprotein for lunch

I'll try to remember to look up the nutritional info BEFORE I post next time :o

Just wanted to say welcome to the journal forum also! It is the greatest feeling to know that people are ready and willing to help you, even if it is to just lend an ear.

Take Care,

Best wishes with the journaling..it is a habit I can't quite get into, but I know it has a great effect on weight loss. I post my weight every Monday morning and I keep track of workouts on another forum. It is good to be accountable somewhere.

I finished out Saturday With Barberque Beef and Chicken, potato salad and slaw. Knowing I would have to write it down for the world to see kept me from buying cookies at Kmart and eating them before I came home.

Sunday was a fats food day so I didn't do so great. Breakfast- Buger King bisquit sandwick, orange juice Lunch- tuna salad sandwich with potato chips Dinner- Wendy's Bacon cheeseburger, fried and coke Night snack - homemade strawberry icecream

Today was a bit better so far
Breakfas McDonald's fruit & yogurt parfait lunch-Subway club sandwich (6") snack--watermelon supper- homemade hamburger, oven fries, baked beans desert-more homemade icecream

My husband want to start the Formula Diet, so I think We do that and see how it works out. I bought the book today and have been reading up on it. Anyone out there know anything about it?

Yesterday was a stressful day. Alvin's (my dh) doctor told him he really wants him to consider the WLS (gastric bypass or weight loss surgery) It' scary that he thinks this is necessary.

I did really good on my plan yesterday. Today was to be the first day of our Formula diet. Well I made the Strawberry smoothie from the book and it tasted like $(%^*$*.

Lunch was better. It was a tuna salad with mandrian oranges and walnuts. It just didn't stay with us long enought.

Supper was our Wed night special. Mexican food. I ate a taco salad with black beans instead of refried beans. Yes I know it was more that I should have had, but it was really good. ;)

ageoldie,
Congratulations on your decision to keep a journal!! When I lost my first 125, I had a private one that I used to track my eating patterns and learn my triggers for over-eating.
Now that I am journaling here, it has really brought a heightened awareness of more than I saw in hand-written form. So hopefully, these last nagging pounds will melt on away a little quicker than the first ones did.

Much success,
Angl :rose:

Ageoldie, what is the forumula diet? Maybe you could tell us more about it...good job on making some changes in your diet..black beans instead of refried good job..last time I ate in a mexican restaurant I ordered shrimp fajitas..they were yummy and a fairly good choice i think...chicken fajitas would be also...i kept the sour cream to a minimum..like 1 tsp ...it is surprising how the flavor comes thru in just a small amount....i love shrimp!!! <IMG SRC="smilies/cool.gif" border="0">

Hi there Ageoldie,
congratulations on overcoming your misgivings and going public with your journal. I've just done the same thing and I like the added accountability (so far, no one has kicked my butt yet lol). We have just about the same amount to lose so I will be following closely - I need all the motivation and inspiration I can get. Excellent job on your weightloss so far, and hopefully your new habits will start to motivate hubby, and he may not need the surgery.
Take care :rose: :rose:
