OK i guess i'll start a journal. Atleast if i do it here i can get some critisim from people going through the same ordeals, and not some toothpick trying to make me feel like crap.


I started this High Protein/ Low Carb diet almost 3 weeks ago, i have noticed a weightloss of about 5 pounds.

My Energy level hasn't been this high in ages. I'm lovin it.

i try to walk when i can, with my kids being outta school it's kinda hard (they are 5, 3) They grip and complain after 3 laps aroudn the high school track.. *LOL* (makes me feel good to know i can outlast them)
SOOOOOOOO on days i cant walk i do 40 or more step ups and crunch (work great for the butt and abs) and i do atleast 20 situps. i also try everyother day i try to do a Tonetics workout tape, that focuses on your abs and hips.

*looking for a tae-bo tapes* i think that would be fun to use. Love karate, use to do it years ago... ... My goal is losing and getting back into it with my daughter.


only bad thing about this diet : getting sick of Meat!!! 8-} BUT i have enough will power and determination to see it through.

Jakki you would love Tae bo..it is lots of fun!! How much are you trying to lose? Welcome to diettalk!! :)

Thanks, sooz and Bev i am trying to loose around 100 pounds. that will put me at 140 i can deal greatly with that.

And i will get the taebo whenever i can find it.. LOL

I'm doing low carb as well.. I've lost 62 of the 86 pounds I have to lose..I will be at goal before I know it.

Alrighty, i just weighed and i am down to 240-241 not bad for a few days huh?

went boating yesterday had a blast but instead of sticking to my Proetin diet i had some fruit. Surely fruit cant hurt you? i mean shhhesssssssh.

Wishing it would stop raining so i could go walking..... oh well guess i will get my butt off of here and do my set ups and sit ups.... i can tell a small difference.. *S*

Any Suggestions??? ;)

well still going strong... i was sitting here reading other people posts and have decided to make a time frame to lose my 100 pounds.


to lose 100 pounds i think i would need around 150 days? is that asking to much? i seem to be losing 2-3 pounds a week... ok maybe 200 days...

today is June 3.... i wonder if christmas is a good goal? so i can WOW them at the company party.. *S*

daily exercise is my main goal and 3 1/2 weeks and i am going strong with NO signs of failure or weakness. i feel great can tell a difference in my tummy and legs with all this exercise...

eating consists of: ALOT of water and crystal light (not half bad) some fruit, alot of protein stuff such as meat. some veggies (very few) i noticed when i added a few carbs into my diet that i lost better.

Any suggestions people? encouragement? anything? <IMG SRC="smilies/question.gif" border="0">

Jakki my thought is that 150 days to lose 100 pounds is not real realistic. 150 days is 5 months more or less...10 pounds a month is usually considered safe and good...this is not intended to discourage you, just to establish a more realistic time frame..just take one day at a time... :rose:

Jakki, you sound jazzed! I am going to lose 50 pounds by mid-October, that is roughly 2 pounds a week, or l0 pounds a month. I've lost 6 so far. From watching others here, even that is pushing it. Our bodies have plateaus and some days we simply slow down. You sound great and will definitely lose a bunch!
