I'm home for probably the whole summer. Yeah!!! I think that once I get used to eating healthy again, and hopefully for good, this time, I will be able to eat on the road with no trouble. I lost a lot of weigh one time a few years ago when I was driving all the time, I just got a little carried away with it. I managed to diet my way down to 98lbs! :( So I know I can do whatever I put my mind to do. Just not quite so excessively. :)

Well today was GREAT. I'm starting to feel really good. I had a little bit of a hard time in the grocery store this evening. I had the urge to just forget the diet thing and go on an all out binge. I didn't, for a couple of reasons.... one being that I knew if I did, I would have to write it here and I didn't want to do that. two, I am tired of doing the same thing over and over and hating myself in the morning.

Breakfast...
1/4 cantalope-50
2 crumpets-120
4 oz. cottage cheese-90
butter spray

Lunch...
2 oz. porkchop-140
1C. couscous-230
1 tomato-25
4 marinated artichoke hearts-50

Snack...
chewy trailmix bar-140
8oz. chocolate soymilk-150

Dinner...
plate of raw veggies-50
1/2C. cajun Veggall-50
Garden Burger patty-100
2 pcs. wheat bread-160
1 slice 2%cheese-50
1TBSP. lowfat mayo., mustard, lettuce, onion-50
1 oz. tortilla chips-140

Total Calories-1595

Exercise-20 min. walk
Water-72oz.
Weight-213 :) I know the lose is mostly water but I'm happy anyway. ;)

Hey girl, you have snuck down 3lbs while I wasn't looking!!! Excellent stuff. I do believe we are getting the hang of this LOL. Great job at the Supermarket! Boy, it is hard to negotiate that place sometimes - between the trolley-rage and the constant temptation it's a wonder we can make it out alive! I try to always go after eating, or if I'm feeling really weak (willpower-wise 8-} ) I send my lovely man off with a list. I think he secretely prefers to go without me 'cause i'm always giving him the hurry-up and he LOVES the supermarket! So would I if I was 6'3" and could lose 3 kilos in a week just by not drinking Coke #@%$^&**!! Not that I'm jealous or anything X-( X-( LOL.
Keep up the great work Apple,

Thank you. I am really starting to enjoy this healthier way of eating. I feel sooooo much better. The weightloss is an added bonus! ;) I know that I can do this for the rest of my life. I'm also saving a lot of money by not going to Del Taco and Burger King everyday. You are doing really good to Clozzie, maybe we ARE getting the hang of this. I was down another lb. this morning, for a total of 4lbs. :D Like I said yesterday, I know it's mostly water, but I'm not complaining.

Thank you for replying and giving me some advise. Three years ago I was in a bad marriage, I left and he has my 5 year old daughter (they live in Alabama and I live in Texas), soooo I was depressed and I went out a lot. I basically drank my dinner, I ate, but I either danced it off or I didnt eat. I went from a size 14 to a 8 now I have met my soul mate and I'm in love for the last time (i hope). :rose: They say when ya get happy ya get fat.
I have a membership at our local Y.M.C.A and I work out there everyday (when things don't get too heckteck) during my lunch hour. I have seen a instructor, so I have a exercise plan, but I don't have a eating plan.

So far today: breakfast - 1 banana, 6oz of protein drink. Lunch - leftover hamburger helper, salad with regular ranch dressing. So far 2 glasses of water.

In the evening when I get home I like to have a couple or three beers, is that wrong? Will I get a beer belly? :D

I heard about the rotation diet, have you?

Well this is day 1 for me. So I hope I can hang in there.
thanks! *

Ugh, yesterday was not a good day. It started out alright but my friend's 12 yr. old son called and asked if he could spend the night. What's really funny is that I chose not to have kids, I like them but just don't want to have any. All my friends kids want to come to my house! I have to admit that if I lived at there houses I would want out too. The 12 yr. olds mom is a addict, and lives with different people who are also addicts, and his stepdad is in prison, and his real dad and stepmom don't really spend much time with him. It's sad. Anyway, not having a child of my own, it kind of throws my whole world into a turmoil when he comes over. So how do I deal with it? I eat. Well yesterday is over, and today is a new day. :)

Hi. I think you are doing a really great job . Stress sometimes gets the better of us, so it is important to put it behind you and move on from there. You are one special lady, opening up your home to someone who probably needs a peaceful night away from the chaos in his own life. THat is fantastic. You are probably really halping that person.

Have a great today and keep up the good work!
Linda

Well I not only fell off the diet wagon, it ran right over me. The last few days are kind of a blur. All I know is that I ate way too much and feel just awful. Well I finally got the nerve to come back here so that is part of the battle won. I feel like I'm starting all over again. :c(

Well finally made it back to my journal. I've been so busy I haven't had much time for myself. I haven't done too well with my eating, but since school started I am exercising at least 5 days a week. Wow, I am pretty sore, but it feels good. I am starting a weightloss program at the medical clinic I go to, and between that and the exercise I should be on the right track, finaly!
