Appropriate, "a new begining". I plan , as many of you...well i guess all of you plan, on making changes in my life this year. I have been on this journey since August of 2001 and have lost about 16 lbs but I still need to lose another 30 lbs. I am remotivated for the new year and really want to do it in the next 2 months. I know this is alot to ask of myself but I feel I can do it especially since at least 6 of these lbs. are new due to the holidays!! I am hoping they are mostly water and will leave me as quickly as they found me! I will use this journal to keep track of my feelings mush more them my food...I want to stay motivated. I will read all the journals to gain motivation and i will excersice! And...drink lots of water. I enjoy reading the journals on this site, they give me great motivation.
This is my new begining, I wish me luck!
My first goal is to come to this site and post in my journal at least 3 times a week.

ok, I joined WW today and so far I have also stayed OP. So, Im managing to do what I planned....today anyway
If I follow my plan for today I will be able to bank 4 pts at the end of the day. I do not totally understand the banking bit , but the computer figures it out for me...so who am I to question it? Im sure I will get the hang of it in a few weeks. I am riding my bike tonight for no less then 30 minutes. Which I think should be about 7 or 8 miles at the rate I move my butt.
So, I will check back tomorrow and see how Im doing.

Good for you DC! Sounds like you are doing a good job of making a plan and sticking to it! Very well done :-)

I have worked with WW before...and also joined today. Unless the banking has changed...you are only allowed to use 10 banked points a week. The computer will count everything not used to the top of your range as banked...but you are only supposed to use a maximum of 10 of those for an extra treat. The rest just go to making your weight loss a little quicker. Hope this helps!

By the way...the activity points are the same...you can choose to spend them on food...or just let them add to your weight loss success.

Have fun with the plan...it is really flexible

Hi Cari! Thanks for the info. Im still not entirely getting it but you helped. I didnt realize about the activety points, I have gotten 3 then 4 in the 2 days since I joined. But Im eating just under my allowed points so I guess im just going to let them go..they just get deleted, right?
Anyway....thanks again.

Im doing good so far today. I have a bit of pressure on me regarding some personal business that has gone awry!!! But i will not let it influence my eating.

If I stick to my meal plan today then I will bank 7 points and come in under my allowed points. I will have 4.5 points left over. I have drank about 48 oz of water so far and rode (in my basement) about 4 miles and will do more tonight. So....SO FAR SO GOOD!
Have a great day!

Hi DC,
Isn't it great to be doing WW?? I just love it and am so excited about joining WW. For whatever reason this time feels different then any time I have joined before. The new program is so much fun because you can eat what ever you want within reason. I still don't completely understand the points but I have stayed on program and figure I will learn as I go.

You hang in there dc and you will be at goal before you know it! You are a winner!!

Love and hugs,
Lizzie B

DC...you are off to a great start with the dieting and exercising. I hope you have a great first weigh in this week. We don't have WW were I live...it closed about 5 years ago and nobody has started it again. It looks really great with the points system.

I weighed today and am down 3 pounds.
Im really hoping this new attitude sticks and I want to thank the people who have helped me with my motivation. I sure needed it!!!!
Today so far I am Op and I have drank 72 ozs. of water and plan on drinking at least 96-100 oz total. I have rode my bike 30 minutes for 6 miles.
Hope everyone is having a great OP day!
