Hi<br />Thought if logged in my day I would keep my motivation going. Could have eaten better today. Had oatemeal, choc chip granola bar, hersey's kisses, string cheese and york peppermint patty. For dinner had 3 oz of roast, potatoes and beans for dinner. Only had 2 diet cokes today. doing much better with that. Drink about 40 oz of water. Not enough. No exercise today, had a parent teacher conference tonight. Discussing end of grade testing and my daughters attitude. makes for a bad evening. Going to walk tomorrow adn work my abs. tomorrow will be a better day.<br />Renee.

Hi<br />Much better day with eating. Ate a healthy dinner. Got lucky there. My husband cooked and it was something I totally hated so I had a salad, some cheese and fruit with a little of skim milk. Missed lunch, was running errands, forgot to eat. Not much exercise except running up the stairs at work. Not much water. Real tired today. Hope to get some rest this weekend. Hi<br />Ate pretty good today. Had a good breakfast and dinner. Missed lunch, was at the dr with my son. He has an ear infection. <img src="frown.gif" border="0"> That took at morning then took forever at the drug store. Spent rest of the day cleaning house. So never did get around to walking. Missed posting last night so I'm doing it this morning. Sunday was an ok day. Was busy all day. Went through closets and drawers getting rid of old stuff. Helped my husband update is resume. That took all day. We are probably going to be moving in the next 7 months, just don't know where. He wants Europe, I want Hawaii. We'll wait and see. It was damp and cold all day yesterday so I just didn't get out. Worked my abs before bed last night so I got a little of exercise. Drank alot of water. Which was good. Didn't snack all day, just had one piece of cake. Today should be better, I'm working, so no snacks unless I go buy them. Have a good week. Renee.

Hi<br />Haven't posted for a couple of days been sick. My throat hurts and I'm coughing which makes my chest hurt. So I've been resting alot. No exercise but then I also haven't been eating much either. Haven't been hungry. Thanks Peggrady and Maximum for stopping by. And Maximum it would be great to challenge you on the treadmill. Renee.

Its the weekend and so far no exercise. We are doing a major clean up of the house. Getting rid of alot of stuff. I guess I could consider it exercise, did a lot of lifting. Ate ok today, not enough water. Still sick.:( Hopefully I feel human tomorrow. Still have alot of work tomorrow. Still have alot of work to do around the house. Planning on walking and doing yoga tomorrow. May work my lower body. Maximum looking forward to the treadmill challenge on Monday. have a good week. Renee.:)

I'm still sick. Woke up with a headache and stopped up. Ate a healthy breafast. Drank alot of juice. It was beautiful today- in the 70's so I sat outside most of the day. My face is sunburnt. We went for a bike ride. I was feeling ok then. Then all of sudden I starting feeling horrible. Been sneezing non stop since then. I ate good today. Drank my water, drank oj for the vitamins. The weather is suppose to be in the 70's all week. Maybe I'll get a walk on the beach this week. It would be nice. Tomorrow is weigh in, should be interesting. Have a good week. Renee

Ok, so far messed up, My daughter was supposed to wake me up at 5:30 this morning and we had a blackout last night, so no wakey uppy! BUT!!!! the day is still young and I will try and get on there at my lunch break. Thats my plan for now. It's only 7:42 am......:D
Good day. Ate good. Walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes, 1.46 miles, 2.8 mph. Not bad since I still have a bad cold. Ate real good and drank alot of water. Busy day at work, then off to a parent teacher conference.:( No fun. My 9 year old is not trying. She's not being bad, she's just not doing her best. Makes for a long day. Getting ready to go to bed. maximum 01-29-02, 10:57 AM Alright! We DID it! I got on the treadmill for 30 min, started out at 2.0 worked up to 3.1 and 3% incline. Whew,,,, Good for us, whens the next challange????
Didn't manage to post yesterday. Between work, dance class, teacher conferences, homework, fixing dinner and boy scouts there just didn't seem to be anytime left. Maximum lets plan on another challenge for Friday maybe. I don't think I have anything planned for that day besides work and home. Yesterday was a good eating day. Didn't do any exercise besides running around, did alot of moving around heavy boxes at work. Ran up and down the stairs about 20 times. My jeans are fitting good so I must be doing something right. The pair I have on today are hanging on me. have a good day. Renee.

My Perfect Weight
At 16 I thought I was fat at 115 lbs. At 18 I thought I was fat at 110 lbs. At 21 I thought I was at my perfect weight at 104 lbs. At 30 at thought 130 was fat. Now at 38 I know I am fat but I'm on by way down. Looking back at pictures I now know that at 16 I was not fat just out of shape. At at 18 I looked good. At 21- 104 lbs I was way too thin and looked sickly. At 30 I didn't look that bad especially since I had just had a baby. And yes at 38 I do need to lose that extra weight. Why have I had this bad body image all these years. I've listened to people telling that I was fat. My grandmother always told me I was fat. The guy next door telling I was fat when I would go on a date with him. I've got to stop listening to people when the tell these things and listen to my body. I hae set my goal weight at 118 but I will stop when I look and feel right. It might be 125. I won't know until I get there. I've decided body image is a state of mind that can be influenced by outside voices. Maybe I should just shut out those negative voices and listen to my body. Enough of my rambling. Have a good day. Good for you Renee on your last post. How true that we let others influence how we feel about ourselves. And for some reason when we let that bad body image junk stay in our head, it's then when we start messing up. I have done the exact same thing, only I was always thin in high school, cheerleader and ran track....so never thought I'd have a weight problem. Was I ever wrong! And I can track my bad eating habits back to eating over about every emotion I had. Especially when I wasn't happy. Well, We're not gonna let other people's voices in our heads anymore. We're gonna be happy each day where we are in the morning and Move on Forward through the day. RIGHT!!!! Be good to yourself!!! I'm on your side!!!

Thanks Jode for the encouraging words. Somehimes it is hard to get rid of those bad, self defeating voices. But I am working on it. Worked my abs today. No cardio. Spent my whole lunch plus 2 others in the dr office with my son. The weather is getting ready to change and my head and sinus are pounding. I can always tell when the pressure is dropping, I get horrible headaches. When there is a hurricane its terrible. Didn't eat enough today. No lunch. My son ate my sandwich and his, plus all the fruit I had in my briefcase. Thats how long we were at the drs. Oh well, tomorrow is a better day. going to walk on the treadmill tomorrow. I did get on the scale this morning and took my measurements. Always do at month in. Lost some inches. Have a good Friday and weekend. Renee.:)
maximum 02-01-02, 11:00 AM Wow, losing inches is the BEST! Thats so great. Sorry about your sinus's, I know how bad headaches can ruin your day, I suffer from migraines, and boy those are not fun. So you weigh yourself once a month? WILLPOWER!!!!! Souinds like your on your way to a better you. And hopefuly will be happy with ourselfs when we get to goal. I've said the same thing about thinking I was fat, when I was thinner then what my goal weight is now. Maybe I should ave just worked out?8-|

Haven't had time to post. Friday walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes, 1.48 miles, 2.9mph. Ate good. Did ok with the water. Yesterday walked 2 miles with the boyscouts. Ate good, did real good with my water. Still real congested. If it doesn't clear up I guess I'll go into to the doctor. think my sinus are infected again. Ouch. Did a major cleaning and rearranging in the kids rooms yesterday that was most of my exercise. Wore my out. Have a good Sunday. Renee.:rose:

Its Wednesday and I have not exercised since the weekend. Still sick. Feel horrible. Went to the dr. I've got a sinus infection again. He put me on all kinds of medicine and told me to drink lots of water. So I doubled my water. Since my day in the potty. Eating on the low side. Not hungry. Just want to sleep, but can't take off from work and afterwards got kid things to do. Maybe this weekend. Have a good week. Renee.

Feeling better. Still tired. Didn't exercise today. Made 2 cakes. I dropped the first so I had to make the 2nd. What a mess. My husband said he would munch on the first if I frosted it. The second I've got to frost and decorate for a going away party. After I make, frost and decorate I'm so sick of it that I don't eat it. Works out good for me. Ate good today. Drinking lots of water because of my medicine. It was a beautiful day, it the high 60's. Spent a little time outside. Mostly cleaned and cooked. Going to try and walk tomorrow. Renee.:)
Walked 30 minutes this morning. The weather was nice so I walked in the neighborhood. The weather turned bad later. Ate good today which surprised me because we had a going away party for my daughters best friend. She leave for the Army tomorrow. I spent the day in the kitchen. We had hot wings and baked beans, chips and cake. Not very balanced but I didn't eat much. After cooking I don't want to eat. Oh and we had homemade french bread. The party was going to be outside around the snow pit but it clouded up and starting pouring about 30 minutes before the party began. Scrambled to make room in the garage for the party. Did have 2 glasses of white wine but didn't have any cake. Drank alot of water. Plan on walking working my abs and lower body tomorrow. Have a good day. Renee.
It's FRIDAY . I didn't think it was ever going to get here. Has been a busy week at home and work. It's been chaos at home. The teenage is causing trouble again. Makes it hard on everyone. Ate pretty good today. Had a pop tart for breakfast(gross). My boss took us out to lunch. Took us to a place called the Beach Tavern. Serves typical tavern type food. Settle on a chef salad. It was full of veggies. Was good. Had pizza for dinner. No snacks, no chocolate. I've cut back on diet cokes. Drinking alot more water. No exercise today. Planning on walking tomorrow and working out with weights. Might do yoga if I have time. Hope to have a better week next week although its looks like a busy one. Have a dr appt on tuesday and a mammagram on Friday. Ouch. Daughter has an eye appt on Monday, we have dance and boyscouts, choir practice and bible study, and 2 birthday parties next week. But I'm going to make time to exercise. Renee.:flower:

Got early and worked out for 30 minutes. Ate good all day. Did ok with water. Been so busy that I haven't had time to snack. When grocery shopping today, got alot of fruit and veggies. My son has been begging for broccoli so got broccoli. Got junk food also but it was stuff I don't like but my husband does. Started off a good day but ended horrible. My step daughter and her mother caused trouble. You would think with her mother living over 600 miles away we won't have to deal with her. But she calls constantly. Always trying to stick her nose in our lives. Had the whole house in a uproar right at dinner. The little kids where so upset that they didn't eat. Well, my son did eat his broccoli but nothing else. I'm ready for summer when she is gone back to her mothers. Otherwise is wasn't a bad day. Drank alot of water. Tomorrow I'm going to walk or ride my bike and work my abs. Maybe do some yoga. Maybe the whole family should do yoga. Maybe it would keep them calmer. My poor husband is trying to quit smoking. He doesn't need to get upset, that makes him want a cigeratte. Tomorrow has to be better. Enough complaining. Have a good night and a good week. Renee.
maximum 02-19-02, 11:45 AM Gosh Renee, I so so feel your frustration. I also have a combined family and I deal with all the trials that come with it, along with the EX-WIFE DEAL. And my hubby is a smoker also, who would like to quit.
Just remember to take care of yourself first, so you can deal with everything else better. I know its easier said then done. :rose:

Not been a wonderful week. Been real busy. Monday took my stepdaughter to eye dr after work. Fun Fun. Tuesday I went to dr and ended up having a biopsy. Wednesday had choir practice and bible study at church. Today went and had my mammagram, ouch. Tomorrow I have to go in for blood work. They want to check my cholesterol and make sure I'm not diabetic or insulin resistance. There is a strong family history. Busy busy week. But I have eaten great even with the girl scout cookies. And I have drank a lot of water. Always thirsty. Not much exercise, going to try to do some weight work tonight. Next week I'll get back in the groove of things, got to spring is just around the corner. Have a good day Renee.:(

What's up? Have you not been feeling well? Sounds like you have had a rough week. At least it sounds like you're taking care of yourself and getting to the heart of the problem. It's Monday. I'm putting off weighing in until the first. Hopefully, it will be a good week. Did ok over the weekend, was busy.
Jode, thanks for stopping by. I feel ok just a little tired. My pap smears keep coming back abnormal so the dr felt like it should be checked out. There ended up being a few spots so they did a biospy. My mammagram is my yearly one, I'm at high risk because of family history so I never miss getting one. The blood work is also because of a strong family history of diabetes. Don't have the results back yet. The biospy results I will get back next week, the mammagram and blood work hopefully late today.
I think I'm tired because there is so much going on right now. I haven't been getting enough exercise and that affects how I feel. I also haven't been taking my vitamins. Bad Renee. Will log in later when I get my results.

I just started taking vitamins this year, I think they have made a differance in my hair. Take care of yourself. I agree with Maximum. Going to the dr. and having tests done is exhausting both mentally and physically. I think the exercise and tea sound like a good idea. Take care

Thanks Maximum and Jode for the support, I needed it. Got some of the results back today. My mammagram came back clear. My blood work came back good except for my cholesterol. It was elevated. Got to go back in 6 months and redo that. I've got to rethink what I eat so I can get in down. I get the results of my biospy back next week.
Ate horrible yesterday. But drank alot of water. Was tired so I went to bed early. Ate good today. Drank even more water. I most of spent half my day in the pottie I drank so much water. No exercise, just don't have the energy right now. Got to start back exercising, will feel much better if I do.

Had the last of my blood work today. A glucose test. 3 hours. I was really at the hospital for 4. It was gross. My arms look like pin cushions. Haven't eaten real well today. didn't get to eat until noon and by then I was ready to eat everything. Not enough water. Could only sip it during the testing. Just enough to pee.
Did better yesterday. Ate good, drank alot of water.
Maximum, another treadmill challenge would be good. Maybe do on Monday or the weekend. Let me know.

Doing better with my eating. Doing great with my water intake. No exercise on Friday.
Saturday walk on the treadmill for 20 minutes. Did some pushups. Drank lots of water. The weather really stinks here. Its rainy and windy. Ready for it to get nice so I can do some yard work. Need to get out in my garden. I want to get my strawberries and lettuce, and onions in the ground. Its too early for anything else. Need to plant my pansies also. Maybe this week some time. Doing better. All my test came back normal. I'm getting my motivation back. Sunday I ate good, drank alot of water. Worked my abs for 35 minutes, my arms for 35 minutes and my legs for 35 minutes. Boy I could really feel it later.
Monday I ate real good, didn't drink enough water. I walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes. Had a good day, all in all.
Today I ate good, drank my water. Worked out with weights. It was another good day. It feels good to have my motivation back. Hopefully, I can keep it up. I would like to lose 5 pounds this month.

What a blessing to have all your tests come back normal!! I'll bet you are feeling a bunch better. That mental stress is a killer for the soul. Now you can put that behind you and move forward and you are by the looks for you journal!! Good for you!! I'm proud of you for continueing to post while you weren't feeling well. Just proves to me and everybody else that you aren't a quitter!! It has been very motivational. Have a great week!

Having a great day. Got on the scale this morning and had lost 2 pounds since last Thursday. Took yesterday off from exercise, with work, family and church really didn't have time. Today after work and parent teacher conferences I'm going to work out. Eating great, got rid of the candy that was at my desk. That helped alot. Feeling alot better today than I have in a long time. Just a quick post. Ate good yesterday except way low on calories. did good with water. Not exercise. Was going to but got a call that my uncle had had a heart attack just didn't feel like it then. So far today eaten good, drinking my water. Working in my garden-digging, hoeing, weeding and planting. I'm about wore out. Going to the hospital later to see my uncle in ccu. Have agood weekend. Have had a couple good days. My uncle is doing better. My son was sick all weekend. Sunday I worked in the yard and walked 1.5 miles. Monday I walked on the treadmill and worked my abs. My eating has been real good. Been doing good with my water consumption. Have a good week. Renee.

For the most part it was a good week. Ate good and drank my water, got a little exercise. But yesterday, I ate horrible. Started the day off bad my missing breakfast, had no snacks with me so by luck I was very, very hungry. My boss took us to lunch. Everything on the menu was fattening even the salads. But the food is great. Had a club sandwich on what with roast beef instead of ham. And chips. Ate all of it. Only about 800 hungry calories and 38 grams of fat. But I wasn't hungry for rest of the day. Had fish sticks, fries and baked beans for dinner. Was not a good food day. Oh well, today is another day. Starting the day off right, had a piece of fruit and now I'm going to exercise before I get into the day and don't have time. Have a great Saturday. Renee.:)

Had a ok day. Ate pretty good. Had hardees for breakfast, missed lunch. Had steak, baked potato, green beans and yeast rolls for dinner. Did ok with myy water. worked my abs. After dinner my husband and I went for a walk. He quit smoking and month ago and has gained weight. He's wigging out. Going to walk for a hour tomorrow and work my arms. Have a good Sunday. Renee.:)

Had a good Sunday. Ate good. Drank alot of water. Ended walking for 30 minutes and riding my bike for 30. Rode my bike because I wanted to go and get a newspaper and my car was blocked in. It was easlier to ride my bike than move the truck. Anyways, it was only 2 miles there and 2 miles back. Today I hope to do some kickboxing and walk on the treadmil and work on my abs. Spring will be here this week. Easter weekend we are taking the boat out for the first time. I would like to wear my bathing suit without being embarrassed. Have a good day. Renee.
It's Friday. I'm so glad. I am wore out totally. My sinus are bothering me again but it is no surprise. Pollen has turned my car a funny color. Been a busy week. With funerals, scouts, dance, church and everything else. Ordered some new exercise tapes hoping it would help my motivation. Its real cold here today after being real nice. They're forcasting a frost tonight. I've got strawberries on my plants that I'm worried about. I hope next week is warmer so I can start walking on the beach again. Was a busy weekend. The only exercise I got Saturday was shopping at the mall and housework. Sunday I worked by legs and did yoga. ate ok over the weekend. Didn't drink enough water. Monday I did great with exercise and ok with eating and water. I did 20 minutes of kickboxing, 20 minutes of walking and 35 minutes of weight training. I'm a little sore today. Today I'm going to work my abs, do 20 minutes of step aerobics and try to walk while my daughter is in dance class. It all depends of the weather. Right now it looks like it is going to pour. Maximum I could only wish that I would be thin and toned in no time. I'm starting to get my motivation back. The weather is nicer and it helps. Ate good today. Walked for 30 minutes while my daughter was in dance class. I also worked my abs and arms. I was going to do step aerobics but I din't think my thighs could handle it. I'm going to do some stretching before bed. Drank lots of water today. it was a warm day, which made me drink water. Tomorrow I'm going to walk, maybe do some aerobics and work out with weights. Don't have church tomorrow night so I'll have more time.Even if I don't lose any weight this week I'm feeling better. Have a good day. Renee.:)

Had a good week. Exercised Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Took Thursday and Friday off from exercise. Yesterday I did work in my garden. Today I'm going to exercise, getting ready to get on my treadmill. Ate real good this week considering its that TOM. Have had cravings for salt and chocolate. This is the only time I want salt. Going to wwork in my garden some more this morning before the rains come in. Have my menu planned for the weekend so I should do ok. All I've got to do is stay away from the Esster candy. Its April 1, a new month. Did ok over the weekend except for the Easter candy. it about killed me. Saturday, walked on the treadmill and worked in the garden. Sunday, walked first thing before church. Later the whole family went bike riding, twice. Once before dinner and then after dinner. It was fun. This month I recommitting myself to watching what I eat and exercise. I've got my menus for the week planned out and my workouts planned. We will see how it goes. Hopefully, I'll restart my weight loss. My husband has applied for a job overseas and we should hear on that also. That has been in the back of our minds and has stressed me out some. had a good day yesterday. Ate good, drank lots of water. After work the whole family went for a bike ride. Now that spring is here, I'm feeling alot better. Going to walk on the beach at lunch after I run some errands, should have enough time to walk for 20 minutes. Got to get my walk in then because the weather is suppose to turn this afternoon, thunderstorms coming in off the ocean. Usually they are the worst. Going to try and get on the treadmill some this evening also and work on my abs and arms. I can see myself in a crop top showing off my fit abs and arms this summer. There is my motivation. Walked on the beach at lunch yesterday. It was beautiful. Today it is cool and very windy with the wind coming out of the north. Not a good day for beach walking. Also worked my abs and arms. After work we took the kids for a bike ride. It was alot of fun. I could feel it in my thighs. Ate good yesterday, drank tons of water. Of course, I sent half the day in the pottie. Oh well. I'm starting to get my energy back. Today I'm going to walk either on the beach or on the treadmill and work my lower body. Have a great day. Renee

Did good with eating yesterday. Took the day off from exercise. It was cold and windy and my body ached. Drank all of my water. Overall it was a good day. Today I'm going to try and walk at lunch. Hopefully, the wind will die down some. The wind goes right through me. I'm also going to work my abs and arms. Maybe go bike riding with the kids. Looking forward to the weekend. Its been a good day. Walked this morning. Worked by abs and arms. Did some house work-didn't get it all done. Oh well. Before dinner I went biking riding. Went a couple of miles. Didn't take the kids, it was too cool and windy. Ate pretty good, snacked just a little. Drank alot of water. Alot. Tomorrow before church, Im going to walk on the treadmill. Have had a couple good days. Yesterday drank lots of water. Ate real good, kept track of my calories. Had softball with the kids last night so I didn't get to exercise as much as I wanted. Heres what I ate yesterday:

1/2 cup broccoli
1/2 cup rice
3 herseys kisses
3 chocolate chip cookies
1 cup skim milk
1 cup chocolate soy milk

Total fat grams 40
Kept my calories and fat in range yesterday, so I'm happy with that. Hopefully, will be able to keep it up today.

Good day yesterday. Ate well within my calorie limit even though I had chips and dip for dinner. drank all of my water and even got in some exercise. Still haven't lost any weight. Weighed in today still at 143. Hopefully, next week the scale will have budged. Food for the day:
Bran flakes with skim milk
chips and dip
milky way
1/2 c spag with tom sauce
1 sl bread
1 c skim milk
1 c chocolate soy milk
doesn't look like much food but the milky way and chip/dip had a great many calories. Will eat healthier today.
Exercise: walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes and worked my upper body with weights and my abs.

Not a wonderful day. Barely kept from going over my calorie limit. Very little exercise but I did drink alot of water. No breakfast , ate lunch at a tavern and dinner at Applebees. My office went out to lunch. We can't go anywhere healthy, we also have to go to the tavern, even the salads are unhealthy. Then for dinner took my stepdaughter to applebees(we where bonding). Afterwards we did go to the beach and walk. It was so strange. On the way back to the car we had to past a nightclub. There were a bunch of people waiting in line to get inside. Some guys tried to pick us up. I'm 38 yrs old, I haven't had anyone try to pick me up in years. Strange night. MY step daughter and I had a heart to heart talk. We talked about a lot of stuff including sex and how she was too young for it(16). For once she agreed with me. Like I said strange night. Tomorrow, I will watch my eating better. I think I'll go to bed early, the drinks I had have made me very sleepy. I never drink but tonight I wanted something. I'm rambling. So here's what I ate today.
3/4 of a club sandwich on wheat
3/4 of a San Fe Chicken salad
2 bahama mamas.
1/2 serving of potato chips
Not much food but between the food and 2 drinks I barely stayed within my calorie limit today. Have a good weekend. Renee.

Ended up having a good weekend. Ate good. Got lots of exercise. Saturday I walked for 60 minutes on the treadmill, worked my arms and did a firm tape. It was raining so I couldn't get outside and do my yardwork. Did get to the garden and get some lettuce for my salad. Drank alot of water of Saturday. Sunday was a ok day. Walked on the treadmill, mowed the yard. Ate good. Drank lots of water. Today should be a good day. Have my menu planned out for the day. That makes it easier. Don't have to think about what I'm eating. Its pretty I might walk outside instead of the treadmill. Got softball practice this evening so thats going to take up some of my time. Have a good day. Had a good day. ATe good, drank all of my water. Walked on the treadmill for 20 minutes, wanted to walk for 30 but got interupted. Also worked out with weights. It was a pretty day. My menu for the day was:

Been an ok week. Finally lost some weight. Only 1/2 lb but that is something. Been busy all week. I'm soooooo glad its Friday. This week has about killed me with afterschool, evening activities. Haven't posted since Wednesday so I need to get caught up.
Wednesday was a badX-( food day. I also didn't drink enough water, too many sodas. My food for the day was:

hardees hamburger and fries

2 hot dogs
macroni and cheese
I had planned a wonderful healthy dinner but my parent teacher conference ran late, had to pick the teenager up from school. So by the time I got home I had 30 minutes to cook and eat. We had choir practice at church and softball practice at the same time. While my daughter was at choir and before bible study I went to walmart to pick up my husbands zyban and a few grocies. Didn't get home until 8. Did exercise at lunch - did one of the firm's tapes. Was going to walk but by the time I got home I was too tired.
Yesterday was much better. Drank all my water. Stayed within my calorie limit. Walked at lunch on the beach. Made me feel better. Always does. Worked out with weights last night. My food for the day was:

Made it through the weekend intact. Was busy all weekend catching up on laundry and housework. My dryer broke last week. So Saturday went and got a new one. Destroyed my budget. Oh well. Ate ok on both Saturday and Sunday. Could have done better, could have done worse. Saturday had to struggle to drink all of my water. Sunday had no trouble, was out of diet coke at the house. Didn't exercise on Saturday, way too busy. Sunday walked on the treadmill and worked by abs and arms. Then I put on my bathing suit and laid in the sun for about 30 minutes. Was very hot, around ninety and humid. We are suppose to get some storms. Doing real good today. Its been the day from hell at work. The server has been down all day. We just got it fixed but its only a temporary fix until they can figure out whats really wrong. such is life. so far I've eaten:
Granola bar
soy shake
banana
chicken broth
salad(the lettuce is out of my garden, that makes it extra good)

Renee, your journal looks a lot like mine. Sounds like you're getting a lot of exercise but still allowing yourself some "happy" foods....which I think we all need sometimes. Thanks for your comment to me about the eating the chocolate. I have felt a need to eat some of that too! I've turned into a diet coke junkie, so I haven't been doing nearly as good at drinking water as you have. Keep up the good job!

Last year I grew a Gazillion Zucchini, 6 differant kinds of tomatoe, Corn , *but the bugs got to it* carrots, but they never grew, Bell peppers of which I only got one cause the Zucchini stole the sunshine, and Broccoli which didn't do well until everything else grew then it reseeded itself a bunch of times before I got one huge bunch. All this in way to small of a box, it was like 4 1/2 ft x 4 1/2 feet. Everything was squished so hoping to make a bigger one this year. I love your menus......Keep it up.

Thanks Jode and Maximum for stopping by. Maximum, I've had a garden for the last 4 years. Always put lettuce in the late spring and in the fall. In the summer its way too hot and it goes to seed. I've also got tomatoes and sweet onions and strawberries. Didn't get any strawberries this year because the birds got to them before I did. But I'm going to pick strawberries at one of the farms this weekend. Its alot of fun and great exercise. The strawberries are so sweet you can eat them right there. Had a good day yesterday. Stayed within my limit, drank tons of water. Yesterdays menu:

Worked my abs at lunch and after softball I walked on the treadmill. The kids had their first softball game last night. It was a lot of fun. The team we played was the team Elizabeth was on last year. The coaches were amazed how much she had grown and how much her game had improved. Last year she rarely caught the ball and could barely hit and definitely couldn't throw very well. This year they have her playing first or third base. And hit the ball real well. Made her feel good. John did good also. They had him as shortstop and first place. He got one of his friends got and the boy cried. John was standing there telling him, its ok, its was a good hit and I just got lucky. He is a sweet kid at times. There was a boy on the other team with cerbal palsy who has to use a walker to run. the kids went out to their way to make sure he made it to first safe. They threw the ball wild and dropped it. I think its going to be a good team this year. Trying to teach them good sportsmanship is hard. Especially when some parents don't practice it. But last night I think all the kids showed it. Sorry I'm rambling.
Well, after the game, I walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes.
Doing pretty good so far today. Got on the scale this morning and I'm up 3 poundsX-( . But I think I'm bloated. I'm getting ready to have a monthly visitor.:( So hopefully, next week I'll lost the 3 pounds plus more. Have a good day. Renee.:)

Its Friday!:balloons: I'm so glad, its been one of those weeks. Yesterday was an ok day. Took the day off from exercise, I was just too tired after everything. Had to clean the gerbil cage anyways, it smelled. Today has been rough. Didn't want to get up. I've drank way too many diet cokes. Its been one problem after another at work. I was on line with software people when the dsl went down. Had to order a new hard drive for another computer, there is a problem with the server that no one can figure out. I've want to close my door and take a nap. Going to exercise this evening. So far today I've eaten:

kettle corn

Been one of those weeks. Didn't make it to the airshow on Saturday, it rained. Walked on the treadmill Sunday. Haven't done any exercise since then. My hip aches. The weather changed yesterday and I could feel it. Ate good monday and tuesday. Drank lots of water. Been real busy at work and at home.
got on the scale this morning. lost the weight I gained plus one more pound, bringing me down to 141. So for April I lost 2 lbs. I see my goal getting closer and closer. Hoping to walk and did some weight work today. Have a good day. renee.

Been a good day so far. Didn't walk last night, the old hip was hurting bad. Will walk tonight. Got alot of energy today. Good thing, coaching softball tonight. Its been a pretty good day. Its warm and humid today. Not going to post what I've eaten. But I will say its been junk. i don't think I've eaten anything healthy so far today. Oh well, its Friday. Busy weekend. It rained most of the weekend. Sunday we went fishing up at the base. After we finished we walked around the pond. Told my son we were exploring, he was more than willing to explore. Ate good and drank lots of water.
Yesterday was very good. Walked 2 miles at lunch on the beach, it was beautiful. Had shorts and my bathing suit top on. Not ready to walk in just my bathing suit. Worked by abs and arms later. Had alot of energy yesterday. Ate good and drank my water.
My husband left on a trip this morning so I'm doing all his stuff on top of mine. Going to walk at lunch. Coaching softball this evening. With my husband away I tend to eat even better. The kids eat anything I put in front of them. My husband likes meat and potatoes at every meal. The kids don't care they will eat what ever. Got to go and work. Have a good day. REnee.

Yesterday was a good day. Ate within my limit - the high end. Walked on the beach at lunch and did turbo sculpt last night. Feeling good. Coached softball last night. It was alot of fun. About got hit by the ball a couple times and had to jump to keep from being hit. Got a good nights sleep. Feel better than I have in a long time. Going to walk on the beach at lunch again. Thought I would post how my day went. Walked for 25 minutes at lunch. It was hot on the beach and hard to believe but I got some sun. More than I thought. After work I worked my abs and arms. Ate real good today except for a candy bar. Drank all my water plus extra. It poured about the time I got off from work and I got wet.

Took the day off from exercise. My body is sore. Went shopping at lunch, got a pair of shorts and a dress. Ate good. My husband got home a day early from his trip adn we all went out to dinner. My tummy hurts. Went out to lunch with the office. Thought I would be good and get something healthy. Got a grilled chicken salad. It was wonderful but now I'm sicker than a dog. My tummy is all bloated up and it hurts. It might have been the onions. I don't know. So much for being good. Busy weekend. Saturday, I cleaned house, took daughters thrift store shopping and to get new bathing suits. That afternoon we went to a going away party at topsail island. Its about 11/2 hours away. We sat on the beach most of the afternoon. There was alot of eating and drinking going on. But I was very good. Drank water and diet coke. I was the driver. Didn't get home until 1:30 in the morning.
Mothers Day had to be up early because Elizabeth was handing out flowers to the Mothers at the early service at church and I was working in the nursey at the second service. After church we went out in the boat to the island. I didn't walk or swim I just laid there and read a book and napped. It was perfect. Got home late. Husband had this wonderful idea. Lets go out to dinner. Its now 8:30. We head out to our favorite seafood restaurant. As we pull up they close. We drive down the strip to another one. Same thing. We ended up at Texas steakhouse. I had steak, sweet potato and a salad. But it was soooooo late by the time we got home. I really wanted seafood but the tourist season hasn't gotten into full swing and the restaurants close early.
Yesterday was better. Worked, came home and worked my abs and arms. Ate good, drank all my water.
Today has been good. Have a denist appointment this afternoon afterwards going to do kickboxing. We have dance class and softball this evening. Haven't gotten on the scale in a week. I'll weigh in tomorrow. We will see if I blew it this week. I don't know my clothes seem to be fitting ok. Have a good day. Renee.

No cavities:balloons: I'm so happy as I hate to go to the denist. The kids didn't have any either. Didn't exercise yesterday afterall. It was almost 5:00 when we got home, had to cook dinner, get homework started. We had softball and dance at 6:00. So yesterday was my day of rest. Going to work my abs/arms this evening and get on the treadmill after church. The kids are getting cerficates and stuff from mission friends so I don't want to miss that.
Ate good yesterday,stayed within my calorie limit. Drank tonsof water. Feeling pretty energetic this days. Sleeping alot better. I go through stages where I just don't sleep. I'm going to start really pushing it. Memorial Day is only about 2 weeks off. We are camping at the beach that weekend. That means the whole weekend wearing a bathing suit. It will be a good eating and exercise weekend. Alot of fresh fish and clams. I always take alot of fruit and veggies to snack on. The only way there is by boat. So we have to load the boat, put it in the water, unload the boat, put the tent up. All that fun stuff. If I want to use the potty instead of going in the dunes I have to walk a 1/2 mile. We will do alot of walking and swimming. I'll probably walk to the ocean side a couple times, thats 1 mile each way. Anyways I'm exciting. 4 days with no worries, no phone calls, just relaxing.
So I'm going to be real good between now and then. The next big weekend at the beach will be the 4th of July.

Been real busy with Scouts and softball. The school year end is coming up the kids are busy with that. We have dance recitals, end of grade testing, Girl Scouts crossing over.The scale showed me gaining 6lbs over night. I was ready to throw the scale out the window. so this week I've got to really push myself and be very strict with my eating. After a week of insanity I'm back. The weekend didn't go too well. I gained weight. So now I need to lose 3.5 lbs just to get back to were I was at the beginning of the month. It isn't going to happen this month. Tomorrow is the end of the month. So next month I've got to lose 8.5 lbs. At this rate I'll never be to my target weight. I guess I've just got to work harder than ever. How depressing. One step forward 3 steps back. My clothes don't feel any tighter which is good. In fact I got into a pair of shorts that I haven't been able to in a year. I've got to track things better. So here it goes. Yesterday's menu and activities:
Breakfast: fruit salad and a chocolate soy shake
snack: banana
Lunch: pimento cheese sandwich on wheat, fruit salad
Dinner: 3 oz baked chicken, small sweet tator, mixed veggies, fruit salad, 2 bread sticks and 8 oz of skim milk
Snack: 2 chocolate chip cookies
Exercise: 30 minutes of arms

No exercise yesterday except moving furniture. Ate ok except for the milky way mid afternoon. I was having a meltdown. One of those days. Today is going to be crazy. Both kids have fieldtrips today, had to get them ready this morning. One was going skating, the other to Cape Lookout Lighthouse. We have dress rehearsal for the dance recital this evening. This morning I have a meeting with one of my vendors, one I don't like. I wore my best clean shorts, my cleanest tshirt and my dirtiest shoes. I don't have any make up on, I probably scare him. I came in a 7 this morning and have been reviewing contracts since I walked in the door. I'm ready to scream. And its Friday. the end of the month. Because the first is on the weekend, I have to come in tomorrow and Sunday for a couple of hours to print some reports, oh joy. tomorrow we have the dance recital and a campout with scouts. Busy weekend. Ok, enough complaining. Yesterday I think I ate the following:

Busy weekend. No exercise to speak of. Was to busy trying to be everywhere at once. but we got all our activities done. Made it to the beach for a hour yesterday. Actually went in the water some. It was so hot yesterday that I needed to cool off. It was in the 90s and humid. Saturday nite got a horrible storm. Scared Elizabeth. My husband and son where camping in it. They got wet.
The scale this morning said I had gained more weight. I guess I need to get back on the ball and start being serious again. The weekends are killing me. I looked at my calendar for the rest of the month and I have something going on the every weekend this month. Going to Virginia next weekend to take my stepdaughter to her mothers for summer visit. Going to my Mom's for a weekend. Then its my sons birthday. Going to be a busy month. Got my menu planned for the day.
Breakfast: yogurt, 12 oz diet coke
snack: oatmeal, 20 oz diet coke
Lunch: fruit salad, soy shake
snack: homemade blueberry muffin
Dinner: 3oz steak, potato salad, baked beans

Monday turned out to be a great day. Ate within my calories and drank lots of water. Exercised: did 10 minutes of abs, a firm video and 45 minutes of yoga. Felt good all day, lots of energy. Yesterday was a iffy day. Ate good and drank my water. It was just a hell day at work. Went for a 30 minute bike ride with the kids. Today has been better. Eating good, drinking my water. Plan to exercise after work. Its the last day of school for the kids so they are wound up tight. All of them. Got on the scale and have lost 2 of the pounds I gained so it must have been water weight. It sure scared my. Still got to lose 4 lbs so be were I was at the beginning of may. But I think I'll do it plus lose more. I've gotten my control back. I know I have said that before. Saturday we are taking my stepmother to her mothers for the summer, Sunday I'm going to clean her room, its so gross that it stinks. You would think at 16 she would keep it clean. Her bathroom is gross also. Going to clean it and put a new floor in and repaint it. Got to find the time to work in the garden this week. Haven't had time to lately. Thanks Chumlette for stopping by. I've been exercising on and off for years. I like to exercise because it gives me tons of energy, it just finding time for it.
Well, schools out. The oldest made honor roll again. The younger ones barely made it. The middle child, quit trying the last quarter, you can tell by her grades, she had 2 d's and a b. She made no effort to do better. She is going to 2 weeks of summer school. she doesn't have to but it will be good for her. They are going to concentrate on reading and math-her weak spots. They were always my best subjects. My son I'm going to tutor all summer in reading and spelling. He does great in math. But he is a late bloomer with reading. First day of summer break and its cloudy and they are calling for severe storms.
Finally, got the boat fixed, my bed is fixed. Things are calming down. I'm going to start redoing the kids bathroom next week. I've got all these plans in my head, I need to put them on paper.
Did good yesterday with eating. Didn't exercise, had to work late putting my bosses computer back together and reinstalling all of his programs. Drank alot of water and spent alot a time in the potty because of it. Have a good day. rEnee

I'll have to say I'm glad the weekend is over. I am wore out. Saturday I drove to Wytheville VA to take my stepdaughter to meet up with her mother. 8 hours on the road with a 16 yr, her iguna(big lizard) and 2 turtles. The turtles smelled of the high heavens, thought I was going to get sick. We get there and her mother starts bad mouthing my husband. I went by myself. He didn't come because he was afraid, he would lay her out if he saw her. So she's bad mouthing him and my stepdaugher is laughing. I wanted to lay her out but I kept my cool. After I got rid of them I turned around and drove home. I made a couple of stops on the way back to move and potty. At one of those stops someone stole the trailer hitch off the back off the back of the truck. I did eat good on the trip and drank tons of water.
Yesterday was a good day. Took the boat out to the island. Got a sunburn. Walked about 4 miles. Drank lots of water.
The new week has begun and I'm back to the daily grind of work.But it is a short week. Wednesday evening I'm leaving for Atlanta. I'm coming back on Sunday. Going to walk at lunch. Its promising to be a beautiful day. Have a good one.Renee.

I would be curious to know how tall you are too. Have you ever checked out the calculater thing on the home page to see where you are for your height and weight. I think it's kinda cool. I have always thought I was 5'6", and then had my hubby measure me not too long ago. I'm 5'8", Guess I've been lying on my drivers license about my height too! :laugh: I'm right in the ballpark as far as my stats show. I just really need to do some firming up...specially the belly!

Ok I'm a very short 5'3". I'm the shortest one in my family. In a couple of years my kids will be taller than me. Ate real well yesterday. Drank alot of water. Didn't walk at lunch, cleaned house instead. Last night was going to exercise but had to work with my son with his reading and spelling(he didn't do well this past year in school and has to be tutored) then he informs me a 8:00 that he needs to make a kite for boys scouts. They have a kite flying contest today at 6:00. Didn't have everything we needed so we went to the hardware store. Got to finish it at lunch today. I did work in my garden some. Got my first tomatoes picked. Can't wait to eat them. My lettuce is finished until the fall, its too hot for it. But my onions are looking good. not much else is going on. Have a good day. Renee.

I'm back in town. It was a good vacation, it was nice spending time with my family. Ate wonderful. My Mom is insulin resistant, meaning no sugar, no white carbs. She cooks very healthy. I think the worst I had was the soft pretzel I got at the mall. It was wonderful. Drank lots of water. Walked on the treadmill plus did other walking. There are alot of hills in their neighborhood. Took my nephew for a walk in his jogging stroller. The neighborhood had this huge hill. It was easy going down but coming up just about killed me. The trip made me a little sad also. My littler sister got laid off from her job on Friday, she is 6 months pregnant, its going to be hard to find another. I only get to see my brother, his wife and son twice a year. The baby is growing so fast and I am missing it. When I last saw him he wasn't walking or talking, or eating table food. Now he does all three. I was afraid that he wouldn't have any thing to do with me and the kids but he took to my son and they bonded. If John did something then Lucas did it also. It was so cute.
Been real good the last two days. Very busy at work and home. My eating the last two days:
Monday
breakfast: soy shake
lunch: 1/2 pimento cheese sandwich on wheat bread
dinner: 2 oz chicken, 1/2 ear of corn, biscuit
tons of water.
Activities:
work, took daughter to summer school, back to work, checked her into summer camp after school,backed to work picked her up, took son to Sylvan learning center, ate, cleaned the kitchen and living room, laundry. Wore my out, feel asleep on the sofa.
Tuesday:
breakfast: oatmeal
lunch: hamburger, ff, diet coke
dinner: 1 beef fajita, green beans, salad, skim milk
snack: watermelon
activities:
got daughter on bus, took son to boy scout camp,worked, went to staples and grocery shopping at lunch, picked up daughter and son at 2 different places, cleaned kitchen, cooked dinner, cleaned kitchen again, made lasagne for tomorrows dinner, cleaned kitchen again, laundry.
Busy but boring day. Was going to spend part of lunch walking but it was pouring outside.
Tomorrow plans to be just as busy. Johns 8th birthday is the weekend and I'm trying to get the house ready for the party. Don't know why I am cleaning because afterwards it will be trashed. Oh well have a good day. renee

Ended up being an insane week. But I ate good and drank my water. Even got a little exercise in. Tuesday found out the my sister has gestational diabetes. She's real depressed. Sometimes it felss like diabetes is closing in on me. 2 uncles are diabetic, but my Mom and sister are insulin resistant and now my sister's has crossed the line to full blown diabetes. I've got even more reason to watch what I eat. Started adding my protein in my diet. Not much but a little. Low fat protein. to see if it helps.Still got to keep my fat low. I've started taking better care of myself. Little stuff like using moisturizer and wearing make up and doing my hair instead of just pulling it into a pony tail. Not much else is going on . It was a wonderful day. Walked 2.85 miles at lunch. Felt great. It was hot and humid with tons of people on the beach. With it being high tide there wasn't much room. Drank a lot of water, I was thirsty all day. Ate good, a little on the low side. Have another busy day planned for tomorrow. Going to walk again at lunch. Menu for the day.:

had a good fourth. Didn't overdo the sun. Got a little bit of walking and swimming in, ok alot of swimming in. Got exercise also by pulling a friends 21 foot sailboat. He was aground and we had to move it. had lots of fun. Drank a ton of water because it was so hot, didn't eat much, it was way too hot. Done good today also had to work. As soon as I get off I'm going out in the boat and camping for the weekend out at the island. Will check in on Sunday. renee.

Had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. Didn't eat too much junk because it was way too hot. Had very little appetite. Drank alot of water this week. did allow myself some regular pink lemonade. Needed it, the heat started to get to me. Saturday had a head all day but it was from a hangover. I did drink Friday nigh. But the calories didn't really matter because I didn't eat anything. It was very hot this week and I got a little sun burnt. Yesterday we swan across to the sand bar, pulling the kids on a raft with the cooler. The current was strong and it about wore me out. I was pulling the my husband was pushing. I'm a stronger swimmer than him so I did the harder part. All in all was a good weekend. Got my week planned out and most of my meals planned.
Today, my plan is
Breakfast: 1/2 blueberry bagel with fat free cream cheese
Snack: yogurt and blueberries
Lunch: pimento cheese on whole wheat
dinner: grilled fish, salad and potatoes, maybe so shrimp
exercise: walkk 45 minutes and work my abs.

Didn't get much done yesterday. Instead of walking at lunch, I cleaned the house and last night I helped my son with his sailboat for the boy scout regatta.
My eating was soso. Changed my menu a little because I was very hungry and wanted salt. I have major pms. I'm craving salt and chocolate. My face is breaking out. And I'm bloated. Bad day at work. The boss is not feeling good so he is making everyone unhappy. Driving me crazy. Going to try and do better with my eating and exercise today. REnee.

at least i think it is still morning. Yesterday was a good day. Ate good, drank my water. Went to my sons boy scout regatta. His boat lost in the speed but won first place in craftmanship so made for a fun outing.

Its Friday, which means tomorrow is Saturday. Wish I could say I was going to sleep late but got lots of stuff planned. Its my birthday and I have planned lots of stuff. Today I'm going to buy my birthday presents. I'm getting a new crockpot and a new gas grill. My crockpot which I use alot broke this week. I was lost without it. I put dinner in it at lunch when I get home later I have a healthy dinner waiting on me. My grill broke a couple of months ago and I miss it also. tomorrow we are going to have a family picture made and then are having a big cookout in honor of my bday. Hamburgers, hot dogs, homemade pork bbq, slaw, baked beans, grilled squash, zucchini, mushrooms and of course birthday cake. And what every else appears at the party. At some point doing the day, I will get my exercise in. Probably early in the morning.
Yesterday was a good eating day. Had stir fry, ate just the veggies and brown rice. And a couple pot stickers. Drank my water and got a little exercise in. Wednesday, I got most of the stuff on my list done.
Today I plan to eat:
Breakfast: 1 waffle with syrup
Snack: nectrine
Lunch: bean burrito
Snack: fat free yogurt
Dinner: fajitas and some tortilla chips
Snack: pop corn.

had a good birthday. Ate ok. Drank my water. Got some great gifts. Of course I bought 2 of them. Got myself a new grill and a new crockpot.
What I ate:
grilled chicken sandwich
birthday cake
homemade pork bbq(2 helpings)
hamburger with lettuce, tomato and onion
slaw
baked beans
grilled zucchini, yellow squash, mushrooms and onions.
I think thats all I ate. Got some exercise. Played badminton with some Marines. They made it a cardio workout. And because I'm not coordinated, it was funny to watch. Had alot of fun, feel asleep on the couch at9.

1 potato
1/2 c carrots
sm slice of cake
2 cups of slim milk
around 1590 calories, fat <30%,carbs and protein where I wanted.

OVerall yesterday was a good day. I stayed in my calorie range. Drank tons of water, spent alot of time on the potty. Did some ab work. School starts in 3 weeks and I'm ready. Every night I have something to do right now and I'm tired. Of course when school starts so does dance, and scouts and church. But so far I've only got things scheduled on Monday for 2 hours, I'll be able to exercise during that time period, Tuesday for 1 hour - housework can be done then, Wednesday for 2 hours, I'll walk for a hour and go to bible study for a hour and Thursday for 2 hours, and I'll be a work for part of that. I still have to schedule Girl Scouts, Tuesday would be good. I'll need weekends to recover.
today has been ok. I binged a little on chips and french onion dip. Otherwise I did ok. Worked out to the Crunch's boot camp and did yoga so I have a little energy. Lots of water today also. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. Have a good one. Renee.:queen:

The hardest part will be the getting ready, especially when you have no idea when you are going. But my experience with you has proven you to be a strong, resourceful, amazing woman and I know you will get through this with flying colors!!!

Well, I haven't posted it here but I did at the challenge. My husband has gotten orders for Italy. We are going to Sicily in the next 6 months. My life has been thrown into an uproar. As soon as we get the hard copy of the orders we need to get our passports and visas. I've got to get teh house ready to put on the market. We need some shots and physicals. I've got to go through our stuff and decide what to take, what to store and what to get rid of. What car to take. Who has time to think about diet.
Chumlette, thanks for stopping by. Right now I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. But i"m working on getting organized. Making lists, that sort of thing. Getting ready to move my treadmill inside from the garage so I can get back on it. Its been too hot to walk outside much. I think better when I exercise.

Better day today. Drinking lots of water. Sitting at my desk watching a storm roll in. Its probably going to hit about the time I get off. Oh joy. I've decided I want to lose 10 lbs before I move so I going to get real good about my eating and exercise. My husband wants to lose some also, so we are going to start exercising together in the evening. Should be fun. So far no exercise today. It is so much more motivation sometimes when you exercise together. Then you aren't jealous when they are laying their fat butts on the couch watching the Today Show or Law and Order or something (The Simpsons?) while you are sweating and huffing and puffing. OK OK OK

Doing good today. No snacking been in meetings all morning about new insurance at work. Got new dental and got some vision insurance. Going to take advantage of that before I move. Went out to lunch with the office. Didn't overeat. Had a grill chicken sandwich. Drank water. Got alot going on this weekend. Cleaning the house, repainting my son's room. Been rethinking my goals and such. After much thought, I've decided that even though my long term goal is 118 I need some short term goals. So here is what I came up with.
1. lose 10 % of my present weight by November 1, that will put me at 130 lbs. After I do that I'm going to maintain until after the new year and then start again. I chose November 1 because after that for me the gaining season starts with the holidays. First the Marine Corp b-day and Veterns Day, then Thanksgiving which always kills me. Then comes Christmas, with all the homemade goodies. To finish it off - New Years Eve. Parties and dinners not stop the whole season.
2. To get back into the daily exercise mode. I've been slacking off recently because of the heat. I need to start again. It will help be lose the weight and then maintain.
3. Have some me time. Haven't had much of that lately. A time when I can get my nails done, sew, do some cross stitch, read and do all those things I like to do but haven't had time to do.
4. Lower my cholosterol.
That said. I had a good weekend. Yesterday we spent the day at the beach relaxing. Did some swimming drank lots of water. Doing of today. Got in a 1/2 hour walk at lunch. This evening I'm going to work my abs and arms and do some stretching. Have a good day. REnee.

Chum I don't know how I'm going to lower my cholesterol. Except by a combination of healthy, low fat eating and exercise. Yesterday was not a good day for it. Lunch was oily and full of mayo. Gross. Don't know why I ate it except I was starving and at that point anything looked good.
Did get a 15 minute, 1 mile walk in. Finished my son's room, going to start my daughters room at lunch today.
My goal for today is to walk for 30 minutes, do some weight work and do my yoga. The yoga is calming and loosens up my joints. I'm not very flexiblity and need to work on that.
Breakfast was poptarts and diet coke. I know, not very healthy but I couldn't get the kids going so I ran out of time. Lunch with be a salad with tuna. Dinner is going to be grilled chicken, rice and eggplant. Probably have a salad also. Got some chocolate soy milk to take care of my chocolate cravings. Hope it helps, it use to. going to take one day at a time.
If I lose around a pound a week I should be at my first goal by November 1. We will see. Got to go. Have a good day. Renee.:)

You know what else is good for chocolate cravings? Chocolate Teddy Grahams. They are good and lowfat and you can have a lot of them for pretty low calories.

Thanks Chumlette and Buji for stopping by. I've been really busy. Getting the kids ready to start school today. Getting ready for the move and cleaning house. I'm going to start getting better about posting. I've started to post several times and then get side tracked. Not musch is going on. Had a yard sale and got rid of alot of stuff. Sold both freezers, the truck and the boat, the bunkbeds, the living room furniture and a ton of other stuff. Really cleaned out the garage and the house. Gave a bunch of clothes away to the salvation army. If I keep this up I'm not going to have anything to wear. Gave away everything that didn't fit right, didn't look right or I just didn't like but kept because it was nice. Not anymore got rid of all of it.
Did horrible with my eating was craving chocolate all weekend. Ate donuts for breakfast on Saturday. Very little exercise. Friday my husband and I took the dog for a walk, a very slow walk. The dog is ancient, can't walk very fast, I thought she was going to die on me. That's about it. Will try and log in agian later. Renee.

your pup sounds like my sandi...she's almost 10 now & she walks 1 block & lays down...1 more block & lays down...it turns out to be the longest walk in history!!! but she loves getting out & seeing all the boring sites so why not!!?? :D
at least you got rid of most of your stuff...what a great feeling that must be!!!! I look around & see clutter everywhere, & I just moved here not too long ago myself!!! I swear it multiplies on its own!!!!

I love donuts. I hope at least you didn't eat bad ones. Krispy Kremes are the best, esp. when hot. Did you know they were invented in NC? I don't get donuts too often though, but they only tempt me when fresh. It is hard when you are craving stuff, I think. Don't beat yourself up too much. You really are doing ok, you know!

Well I think I've been going to everyone elses journal and not making it to mine. Staying busy. Not losing any weight but not gaining. Hubbys blood pressure is up and we are trying to get it down. It has him stressed out. Not good. Went to the dr and got the results on my cholesterol, it went down to 179. It was 233, so I'm very happy. Had my pap, won't get it back for a couple of weeks. Got to go tomorrow and start getting my overseas shots. Not looking forward to that.
I'm eating better this week than I been. Drinking more water. Trying to get my husband to drink it so I'm drinking more to set the example. I'm ready for this move to over with. Its wearing my out just thinking about it. Thats all for now. Got to do some owrk. Renee.

Have a horrible headache. Going home early and take a nap. Have to go to the base and get my shots this afternoon, not looking forward to that. Had a good day yesterday, ate good, drank water. Was too tired to exercise. Went to bed early.
