I got up this morning and put in 30 minutes on the Nordic Track while watching the morning news. Ate a nice breakfast (1/2 c. Cheerios, 1/4 banana and skim milk. 1/2 bagel, 1/2 tsp cream cheese, 4 oz. O.J. and a cup of black - unsweetened decafe coffee)

Worked all morning in the studio with the windows open. It is just like late spring around here. 78º with a nice SW breeze. Came home for lunch and didn't go back:o Instead, I walked to the pond behind our house. That was so nice I walked into the woods and hiked through the trees for an hour or so. Saw several squirrels and a couple of deer. I was surprised that I was able to clamored up and down the hills without becoming winded! Wonderful day so far.

Well the big game is coming up this Sunday. I'm starting to plan for it now. We'll have a few friends over and the snacks and beer will be plentiful. I just need to plan well for MYSELF, strengthen my will and I will have a great time
AND stick to my diet!

As my plan developes I'll throw it out here and see what the other guys think of the ideas.

Once again nc I'm not a guy but heck.. someone needs to cheer you on.. lol...Congrats on sticking with the program.......AS for Sunday superbowl??? how about prepacking some little snacks for youself.. premeasure..I think you can do this...Keep a bottle of water close by....when that urge hits.. grab that bottle of water.. or if that urge to overeat hits.. excuse yourself from the room for a few minutes.. Yeah I know.. it's the football game but heck....think of how far you've come..GOOD LUCK>>>:coach:

Sounds like a lot of fun... It was windy here today but I would love to be in the 70's... :)

Joanne,
Thanks for cheering me on.
:o

I'm not too worried about tomorrow, actually. As soon as my wife and I nail down exactly what will be around the house, I'll set a menu for myself so that I don't exceed my alotted 2000 calories for the day.

I'll drink water instead of beer... not really a big deal. I'll avoid the chips and dip... also not a big deal. I'll munch on cucumber chips, celery stalks and carrot sticks if I need to munch. I will have a few hot wings. I will have a couple sections of baby backs. I'll substitute non fat cottage cheese and tomato wedges for the potato salad. I won't have blue cheese dressing with my celery sticks. And I'll be careful to measure everything that goes on my plate.

Will this year be different from last? You betcha. But it is not going to be hard!

John,
It sure was. Nothing like playing hooky once in awhile. :o

The 70ºs were great but it looks like we're back to reality this week. The forecast is calling for highs in the 30ºs and 40ºs and lows in the teens. (okay, still warm for some of you folks... but it's winter for most of us below the Mason-Dixon Line)

don't I know it... ITs 29 degrees today so far... it was in the 60's just a couple of days ago. brrrrrrrr

How's the diet going? Since we seem to be the only 2 guys visiting this forum.. lets keep each other posting and may be we can grab a couple of more guys.

My diet has been going ok. I've been real busy doing stuff and probably have not been eating as healthy as I should. I plan to change that and get back to eating health. I have been exercising regularly.
