Just wondering if any of you seniors are using the Walk Away the Pounds tapes. I have been considering buying them, but not sure what people think. If you have them, please let me know what you think of them. Thanks. :ex:

Alice I dont have the tapes, but walking is a great exercise and if they help with that they would be worth it. I use a headset radio when I walk, and I usually have it tuned to talk radio, but I also enjoy listening to music like the golden oldies station. Actually when I walk lately I try to walk when there are old radio programs on like The Whistler and Dragnet and Johnnie Dollar...Way fun!! each day there is an hour ...2 30 min programs of different radio shows...Suspense, Texas Rangers, Lux Radio Theater, Jack Benney, etc...lol...good luck with your walking!

Alice,

Jusducky (Bobbie) bought and gave me for my birthday the Leslie Ansone Walk 40 Plus Workout ... and I really like it; I am basically using this as a supplement to my morning walk (it is a full 30 minutes . and very easy to follow) I don't know if that is the same thing you are looking for.

Take care and make it a great day. Always, Monica

Thanks Sooz and Monica. This evening I bought the three set of 1 Mile, 2 Mile and 3 Mile. I have heard a lot of good things about Leslie Sansone tapes. I'll let you know how I make out with them. There is another web site where a group of people use them as their exercise program and report in to each other about it.

I agree with you Sooz about walking, but here in New York State it is difficult because so much of the time it is either raining or snowing. This way I can excrcise inside.

I did the 1 mile tape this morning. I cheated and skipped a few steps, but did finish the tape. It was not difficult to follow as there are only 5 steps that she uses. I will keep using the 1 mile tape for a week or two before starting the 2 mile tape. I'll still keep you informed as to how I am doing. Thanks.

I used the 1 mile tape three times this week. It is easy to follow, but really gives you a good workout. I still skip parts as I get out of breath, but it is getting easier all the time. I would recommend these tapes to anyone who wants a good but easy to follow exercise.

I like to walk - try for 2 miles daily. I'm a little different, I guess as I like to listen for the birds and have a quiet time to myself while walking - I also add short jogging intervals which is a great workout. Pokey:)

I used to use walking tapes from 'Sports Music' all the time when I walked. I thought walking without them was boring. But in the past year, I've been like you, Pokey. I prefer to just walk and think. I love the quiet time. 8-|
