It seems as though our other thread was rather full, so here is a new one.
I have had a great day so far! Went to the gym, I've eaten well, and I'm doing well with the water.
How is everyone else doing? Stick with it gang!
Oh! And I'm down 2 pounds! 3 more to go to meet that Nov. 30 deadline!

Finally lol i got to the gym got in a hour of cardio sweated like a dog and you know what all it felt soooo GOOOOOOOD!!! hehehe i did good eating too YAY!! i hope everyone is doing well..we can do THIS!

O.K. here is our new one week challenge:
We are going to create a motivation list!Every day, for seven days, write down one reason why you want (and deserve!) to reach your goal. Yes, we all have at least 7 reasons why we want to reach goal. Be creative!!
At the end of the week, put that completed motivation list somewhere where you'll see it and need it most (i.e. on the fridge, near the snack cupboard etc.).
If you're really ambitious, make it look nice. Type it up, add a picture of you the way you want to look, or a picture of an outfit you know you'll look REALLY HOT in when you are at goal (and promise yourself you buy it when you make it!). Make copies of it and keep it handy in your purse, your bedroom, where ever you need it. Pull it out and read it over and over until your low willpower moment passes, or if you're feeling like you want to throw in the towel.
Try it! Maybe it will be just what you need to get that motivation back!
And our continuing month end challenge is 5 lbs. by November 30. We started off last week with this challenge, and we still have two weeks to make it. LET'S GO!!!

I got on the scale today Ive lost 2 1/2lbs.
I was so surprised. I was feeling like throwing the towel in on everything. But Ive picked myself up and brushed myself off.
I am going to do this because I am worth the effort, we all are.
I finally got my treadmill fixed and my goal is to walk 3 miles every other day.
Wish me luck............

That's great news about the 2 1/2 pounds! Be sure to try this weeks challenge. It works!
How is everyone else doing? I'm holding my own. I was absolutely STARVING yesterday and nothing I ate satisfied me. Hopefully today will be different. I'm going to put a large focus on water today. That's one area where I have been really slacking off.
How is everyone doing with this weeks challenge? Have you come up with any reasons why your worth the effort.
Here is my first one:
I don't want to waste any more time being overweight. I deserve to be the happiest I can be.

Hi gang well i met your challenge i've lost 5 1/2 lbs. this week. and my main reason to lose is health there's my #1 reason. This week i want to try and walk every day get that water in it's so hard i can't drink to much in the morning i spend most of it out walking can't bring a water bottle there's no bathrooms where i walk LOL

moncheri 11-18-00, 05:23 PM Just checking in. I'm not feeling to well this weekend so I'm doing great at not eating. The exercise is another story. Maybe Sunday I will be feeling better.
It seems like we have lost some people. I hope they have not given up. Maybe they posted on Week 1. Ill hope over and check it out.
Hey Heads are you a counselor or something? I think you have the greatest ideas. I'm working on the 7 Reasons on why, want, and deserve. And the bottom line is its all about me, I think we tend to forget about our selves and focus to much on the fat.
I'm going to go die on the couch now. Hope your all doing great!!! :) Stay strong!!!!!

Ok, I will start. I know I'm late but better late than never right! I just went to the store and bought things I can eat. I need to have things i the house that are good for me so I don't fall. I think I will make the goal by Nov. 30, so here I go, wish me luck.

The second week of the challenge is going well. I'm staying on track- the thought of Thanksgiving next week helps to avoid any cheating. I'm down 3 lbs. this week, so I've reached the goal of being down 5 lbs since the beginning of the challenge. Now the challenge is keeping them off during Thanksgiving! I haven't had a chance to work on the motivation list, so I'll try to work on that today- it's a great idea and I'm going to post mine on the fridge! Keep the challenges coming!

I'm so glad to hear that some of you have already made the 5 lb. goal! That's fabulous!
It's also great that some of you are working on the list. It's a really great thing to have around near the holidays. It may help stop you from going back for a second slice of pie! :-D
I had a decent weekend. Did eat terribly well, but not too bad either. 11 more days until the 5 lb. goal deadline, and I think I can do it!

WELL MY SORE THROAT IS GONE, NOW TO GET RID OF THE SINUS INFECTION. I GOT ON THE SCALE THIS MORNING IT READ 171.5 LBS!!!! IVE LOST 4.5 LBS SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE CHALLANGE.
NOW WHEN I GET WELL I HOPE THE WEIGHT DOSNT GO BACK ON. I HAVE .5 LBS TO LOSE TO MEET OUR GOAL!!
I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING!!! DONT DEPRIVE YOURSELVES ~ A 'SMALL' SLICE WILL NOT HURT. JUST DONT GO BACK FOR ANOTHER 'SMALL' SLICE.

that would make 16 total (I think) will know for sure nov. 29, when I go to the Dr. My scale says 150. and I would like to be at 144 by New Years.

HeadsUp 11-21-00, 10:20 AM Still working away...I'm recovering nicely from the weekend. I really have to work at controlling my eating on the weekends. It is proving to be counter productive.
I'm feeling really tired and out of it today. Ugh. I hope I'm not getting sick. I'm going to a step class at lunch today, so hopefully that will wake me up. I'm still 3 pounds away from the month end goal. I sure hope I make it. I wanted to in the high 160's by Christmas (5 weeks from today! YIKES!) It will be a struggle, but I'm going to try my best. That gives me 5 weeks to lose 8 pounds. Totally do-able. Well, maybe not that do-able with all those X-mas parties to contend with. :-0

I WAS MIGHTY PROUD OF MYSELF. I HAD A LITTLE OF EVERYTHING AND DID NOT GO BACK FOR MORE.
THAT WAS REALLY ROUGH, I LOVE THANKSGIVING. I GOT ON THE SCALE AND IM DOWN 7 POUNDS. YEA!! I REALLY DIDNT THING I COULD DO IT.
BUT LIKE THEY SAY ~ IF THERE IS A WILL THERE IS A WAY. IM GLAD I STUCK IT OUT ~ WE CAN ALL SUCCEED.

Sorry for my extended absence, but I took a day off yesterday.
I am still holding on...didn't eat very well this weekend, but I seem to have pulled out of it relativerly unscathed. I'm still at work (going on 12 hours now :-0) but I'm going to bail out soon and hit the gym.
This Thursday is the end of our 3 week challenge (5 lbs.). How many of us can make it? We'll see. Just do your best everyone!

HeadsUp 11-29-00, 10:00 AM I DID IT!! I made it to 5 lbs. lost! Well, actually 6 lbs, and I still have 2 days to go! HOORAY!!
I don't know how it happened. The scale has been slowing slipping down, mostly staying put for the past couple of weeks, and then suddenly today, BOOM, down 3. I'm not going to complain!! :-D
How is everyone else doing? This place is really quiet. TOO quiet. Come on everyone! Don't give up!
I'm looking for suggestions for our month-long December challenge. We don't want to have a weight loss goal that is too difficult, with all the parties etc. that we all have to contend with. I was thinking something like 3 or 4 pounds by the end of the month. Is this unreasonable? Suggestions welcome and appreciated.

Ive reached my goal also 6lbs!! :D!! I really lost it there for about a week, but thanks to your support I did it.
I think we should make our goal for 7lbs for the month. I know if I set my goal to low I will not do well. I thought mabe we should find a positive or a inspriational thought for each week. What do you think?

I went to Dr. Wed. and he confirmed it. I was happy. Had only 9 pounds to goal, but Dr. would like to see me at 136 instead of 140. That's okay. I like a good challenge!!
