I am back and starting a new journal. This will not be a daily journal, I am not going to even attempt that again. Just one more added stess, and I don't need that. I am going to keep track of what I eat daily, again following the food pyramid and keeping track of water. I will weigh in once a week on Mondays (works best for me, keeps me on track over the weekends).

The big difference with this journal and my last is that I am devoting it more to becoming fit and healthy than just to lose weight. Losing weight will be a side benefit. The scale will not rule me. I will get measured and weighed, maybe I can schedule a body analysis at the Y for Monday, I'll have to see what it is all about(you get two free a year, guess it is good to start at the beginning). Then I will measure once a month(maybe if I get brave enough, I will even get down to weighing once a month, but not holding my breath on that---still tied to the scale, it is that weekly motivation with the scale that drives me).

Anyway, this journal is to keep track of how I improve my fitness over the coming months.

I am starting out slow with the exercising, don't want to injure myself and get side lined when this is what it is all about. So, till I post again. Good luck to all who venture in.

Nice to see you again!

I had read your posts and had met you in chat when I first started, just before my sis died. Had always looked for you since.

So glad to see you back... the pounds, scale, and all that goes with it can be tough. Took me more than a month to even start a journal, and almost gave up when the scale quit moving... now i know to trust the tape measure and my clothes and just live each day the best I can.

I had to leave in a hurry when my sis got sick... so a belated thanks for all your kind words and support when I was feeling really sad and weak.

:flower:

I love the new pants challenge too!!!

I hope you have happy, healthy days ahead and once again... HI again and hope to chat again soon

Monday -- Went to the Y, did 25 min on the track, 10 min on the bike, upper body weight workout, aerobics in pool and some swimming. Ate fair, took vit. and calcium--need to increase water and keep better track of just what I am eating. Forgot to weigh today, will do it tomorrow.

Tuesday -- Went to the Y, did 25 min walking on the track, 10 min on the bike, lower body and weights workout. Unable to go in the pool due to cleaning. Again ate fair, took vit and calcium. Still need to increase water, do really well while working out, then forget. Weight and measurments done, will post next time, as I am running out of time.

Wednesday -- no workout---summer bowling leagues.

Stopped smoking Tuesday morning, June 11, 2002. Last cigarette was when I walked out of work. Doing great so far.
