Hi Everyone: Well, finally decided to do a journal after I've been nagged.LOL.Lost 40 lbs last year, then gained 13 lbs. It's been a struggle, since we have had alot of stress in family. But have now lost 10 of the 13 lbs. So my goal now is to lose those 3 lbs. and then on to the next 60 lbs. I find if you make a goal of 10 lbs each goal, it is alot better. As Monica says, it didn't take us over night to gain so we must be patient. Some days are such a struggle as I'm sure you all have been there. I use to feel so guilty when I "fall off the wagon" but we are all human. The main thing is, is to get back on and forget about the past.
I am disabled so can't walk like other people, but I swim alot and go to the gym on the machines twice a week. Exercise DOES help and make you feel so much better. I had to take "Baby Steps" and sometimes I found it slow going. We tend to want to rush things and have the weight fall off in a few weeks. I was on maintenance for so long and that can be so frustrating!
I now do wookworking and decorative painting and that helps to keep away from the food. The nights are bad for me but trying hard to control it.
To everyone out there who is struggling, Don't Give Up!It will come!Roman wasn't built in a day!But we will succeed!!!
