Sorry late in posting this morning!! Think I may start posting the new thread late at night since I am up to wee hours of the morning.
Wow another beautiful day and warm with high humidity. Summer is really here!!!:)
Just heard some good information about exercising. Saw this on Body challenge program. If you exercise before breakfast then you body will use more fat calories then if you exercises after breakfast. So sounds like early morning on an empty stomach is the best time to exercise. Also speeds up the metabolism. Think I will try this for a few days and see if I notice any changes or feel better.
I am ready to tackle the weekend. Weekends are the hardest for me since I seem to have to many opportunites to eat. So today I change that. I am going to treat today as if it were any old day of the week. Going to concentrate on eating only healthy food and not be tempted by junk food!!
I challenge each one of you to stay on your diet, exercise and drink water as if it were regular day. We can do this if we really want to. I know I will if I set my mind to it!! December will be here to soon and I want to be down my pounds!!
I have posted day 4 and 5 together for the weekend. We'll see if we do okay with the two days together but if we need to have each day separate I will do that too.
Okay Snow Angels are you ready to think and move????

But it's worth posting again.
I have kicked my evil :lil: right in the teeth! Not only did I break my 270 battle again, I am at 268.5 as of this morning! I gave myself the whole weekend to get below 270, and instead I started out that way. Now my goal is to get to 265 for my Wednesday weigh-in. 3.5 pounds in 4 days? I know that sounds extreme, and it may not happen, but that's my goal. It was 1 1/2 weeks ago that I hit 268.5 for the first time, and I've been spending all that time trying to get back to it! Now I want to go forward.
We are having bbq today with my husband's daughter and son-in-law. They are up visiting from Georgia. I have my chicken, potato salad, salt potatoes, 1 gram fat Doritos...I'm ready! I skipped breakfast, which is normally a no-no, but we had to run to the store. I WILL SUCCEED!! :)

How is everybody doing today? When i first woke up I didn't really feel like working out. I was going to workout in the afternoon. Then I went on the diettalk web sight and really got motviated from all the posts I was reading. I started working out by 8:50 and by 10:00 I was finished. This morning I was scheduled to workout with Richard Simmons Grove in the house tape, but I couldn't find it. After looking for it for about 5 minutes I gave up and switched to another tape. Today I worked out with Richard Simmons Sweating # 2 tape. Then I toned my lower body. tonight I'm going to look for the Grove in the house tape, so I can workout to that one on Wednesday. I'm having a lovely day so far. Feeling great. I went for a walk last night as the sun was setting, and I caught myself watching my shadow, and thinking, how great it will look when it's not pair shape. I'm really looking forward to that.
But even now, just eating healthy, and wanting to be healthy, has me feeling better then ever. I may not have lost a lot of weight yet, but darn it, I feel good.
Going swiming today. Not thrilled about being in a bathing suit, but it's good exersice. I'll manage.

I am looking forward to the day I am not afraid of the water so I can go swimming again. Swimming is such wonderful exercise!! Go for it and have a ball!!

ajmarble 06-22-02, 11:28 PM I guess I should have posted in here rather than on day one. Oh well, I am excited to be a part of the group. Lizzie, I have been exercising before I eat breakfast in the morning, and I have found that it gives me a good jump start for the day! Hopefully it will help you out too! I have done pretty well this weekend. I had 106 oz. of water today, ate 1499 calories, and did 7.3 miles(in 30 min) on the stationary bike! I feel great! I hope that all of you are doing great as well! Stacey, way to go on the loss! Keep up the hard work! Best to you all.........AJ

I like exercising in the AM as well. When I go to the FLC I try to spin a few min. 5 has been tops for me! 30 minutes! Woohoo Usually I walk 1-1 1/2 miles, spin for 2 min. and play in the hot tub for 10. Work days I often don't get in my hot tub time so I want to start dropping by in the afternoon as well. I mean it's a new hot tub.....it would be a shame not to use it!
I keep a locker there so I don't have to tote everything in each time.
OH Rutie! Your "song"!! LOL!! Hope my neighbors didn't wake up to my laughing! I try to be fairly quiet in the early AM. That was cute. The butt dragging.......hey, have you been spying? I too, am ready to get my groove on!
Cori.....I am very self concious about being in a swim suit. I keep one in my locker for the sauna and hot tub and one in my bottom drawer in case I wanna brave the pool. If they'd open at 6 I'd be in it for sure! It's just about 50 steps outside my door!
Kfoard: I have Richard's tapes and want MORE! I have the Sweatin' 1 and 2. I'd like to have the stretch one and the groove and lose ones. I have Angela Lansbury's "Positive Moves" .....very gentle for us "seasoned Chicks" and I do have Tae Bo but must confess I've barely gotten past 7 minutes of the Introductory! It looks sooooooooooo simple on TV! Hope you've found yours for Wednesday.
I'm praying for a downward trend this Wednesday! I've lost/gained the same 5 pounds so many times I should weigh less than I did at birth! LOL!

LOL Monday great day to begin exercises. Hope you little guy is on the mend. He sure was a brave man getting all four wisdom teeth out at once!!

Wow AJ you must be really traveling to do 7miles in 30 minutes on your bike. I do 40 minutes and only travel 7.35 miles but I am only going 10 to 11 mph. Does your bike have the handle bars that work you upper body too? Mine does maybe that is what is slowing me down. Plus I need to keep working at it!! You are doing an amazing job!! You are a WINNER!

Have to fess up not only am I afraid of the water,almost drowned when I was little, but the swimming suit is scary also!! How is that for excuses??? Now that I have confessed I can't used them any longer!!
Brenda I have also been gaining and losing the same 5 or 6 pounds for weeks . NOW they are coimg off for good and getting into new fat!! You are gonna do it!! You are a WINNER!!

Snow angels, I have a heavy heart. My sis is in the hospital and it doesn't look good. You see 3 of my sisters have a terminal a blood disease. Now my youngest sis Teresa is in the fight of her life. Doctors says she won't make it. She is my youngest sis and my best friend. The thought of losing her is almost more than I can bear. I can't even go see her because she lives in New Mexico and I live in Indiana. My other sisters who are also very ill live in Texas and one in Illinois. Plus my DH is still dealing with cancer and side effects from chemo. So I am not able to help anyone. The last words I had with all my sisters over the phone was how much I loved them and missed them.
I have to continue on! So today I will do my exercise tapes and stay on program. Need to get out and work with Mother Nature's beautiful flowers in my garden and all my potted flowers!!
Really have to work on getting that 64 oz of water down too!! Yuke I don't like water but I must drink it for good health!!
Looks like rain today I hope I hope!! We need rain!!
I am ready for the day so let's get moving and feeling happy to be alive!! I know I am!!!

ajmarble 06-23-02, 06:15 PM Hello everyone, It is kind of a gloomy day here in Montana...it is going to rain again, and the humidity is high. (For MT anyway.) I am on my way to exercising...which I did not get done before I went to church this morning. I have eaten pretty well today so far, I am a little over 800 calories and still have dinner left. I will make it a great day in spite of the weather!
LIZZIE---My heart goes out to you. I will keep you in my thoughts, and prayers as your family goes through this tough time. The Lord will lead you through...just let Him lead the way. Even though you are unable to see your sisters, let them know that they are with you in your heart. That way you can keep them close. Best to you and your family Lizzie......
On my (stationary) bike, I ride an average of 14-16 mph. And, no I don't have the moving handle bars...if I did I wouldn't be cruising along that fast:laugh:
Everyone seems to be doing very well with their exercise....Is everyone drinking their :water:????? We will succeed and be triumphant!!!
I also just want to report in, that have maintained this week. So, I am still at 190. I usually do weigh in on Sunday morning first thing. If we are going to do Wednesday's for S.A. challenge...please let me know. I will weigh in again on Wednesdays too. That will keep me extra motivated not to eat "BAD" things:o

I weigh in on Sunday mornings too. Then weigh in for SA on Wednesday. That second weigh in is really going to make me accountable!! No more slacking off Sunday night and Monday!! Best thing that could have happened to me. No more instant gratification only work towards the long term goal!!
I just realized that is what I have been doing. Weigh in on Sunday morning then ease on Sunday night and Monday instead of staying on target!! Been doing it just enough to keep from moving on with my weight! Well no more!!:tongue:rotest: Going to stay with my program and get this weight off and now!! No more goofing around!!!
When I saw how far you went on the stationary bike I thought boy Lizzie you better get moving!! Glad you said you didn't have the moving handle bars!!! I tried 15 miles per hour and about knocked my arms out of joint!!:laugh: Yikes!!!!!!
Thank you for your kind words Aj. I just talked with my sis's nurse and she is not doing very well at all. All I can do is pray for her and she knows I love her. Those are the last words I said to her a couple of days ago. We always end our phone conversation expressing how we feel about each other. I know she is in God's hands....
Well I am off to drink more water and hope it cools off here a little.
I sure didn't realize it was early evening already!! Wow where did the day go??
We are going to do this. With all the determination and motivation!!! You bet we will!! Doooooooooo it!!!!

To maintain such a wonderful outlook and attitude says a lot about you and the kind of person you are.
You and yours will be in our thoughts and prayers. God is the ultimate comforter, our strength and solace when the world sends such heartache and trouble our way.

Note: I played in the pool this morning! It was wonderful! I had it to myself.....got my noodles out of the car. I have extra so will give 'em to some kids. The water felt great!

StaceyJG1 06-23-02, 10:30 PM It was very hot today, and we didn't go anywhere! We stayed in, packed, played :lil:, and enjoyed the air conditioning!! Got a lot accomplished today. My hubby wanted to watch a movie this afternoon, so I rode my bike while we watched it. First time in a week! I did 20 minutes, 4.4 miles. Then he got on! He could only do 10 minutes, but it's a start. He's back on a diet, so we'll see how good he does. The important thing is that I DID GOOD! Stayed on points, drank my water, exercised. Yippee!!
Oh yeah, I took my measurements today. I'm down 1 3/4 inches!! I'm so jazzed. I'm finally going down again.
I made some No Pudge Fat Free brownies tonight...YUMMY!! Just like the real thing. You make them with non-fat vanilla yogurt. They are 100 calories for one, and no fat. Awesome! Very chocolatey!! 2 points each for us WW gals.
Well, tomorrows another work day, so I need to get ready for bed. Let's have a great week!!

Minnie mouse 06-24-02, 12:02 AM well here i am snow angels. well lets see... i stayed in points range on friday and on sat. went off a bit for some chinese but not too bad and today(sunday) did great. i ate healthy,drank all my water,rode my bike 5 miles,did arm weights and i went swimming for a few hours. i resisted tempting food and donuts at my aunts and had a good day all around.
