Maybe you have been doing too much? It is possible that your body is telling you that you need a rest today, so you can get back with it tomorrow...Just a thought. Good luck and welcome to DT.

Hi Lisa,

I'd agree with Chum, I think you may be doing too much too soon and that your body is trying to tell you something. How many days in a row did you exercise? Sometimes a break is the best thing you can do for your body.

Hi LiSa,
Yeah, you probably do need a break. I'm not sure if this applies to that type of exercise, because I'm not a doctor :D , but I think that after you exercise for a couple days you're suposed to rest for a day to let the new muscles you hope you're developing grow or heal or something. Maybe you already know this. Oh and you should eat protein during this process. In case you didn't know this, I saw it on a show entitled, "The Mystery of Fitness" on Discovery Health, just so you don't think I made it up to mess with you. Ha ha.

Lisa,

Whether an hour is too much or not depends on the person. If your legs are getting very tired, it could be that you are walking too fast, your treadmill is set on to high of an incline, or you're walking for too long. Try adjusting some of these and see if the problem goes away.
