Hope it is okay with everyone if we have one thread for the week instead of 7. Seems to work out great with the holiday week so thought we might try it for the week. If anyone would rather have a daily thread let me know then I will do the daily. However with the weekly thread I will still personally post each day!!
Even though it is early in the am I am awake and almost coherent.
I weighed in yesterday and yikes still have 2 lbs to lose before I get rid of those 5 I picked up. I don't understand why I gained those 5 but that is life. What works for others does not work for me. I did get back to exercising and did knock off three.
I am still very determined to reach my goal for December and nothing will deter me from that goal. I do intend to continue working on it one day at a time but keep the long term goal in the back of my head!!
Sure is a beautiful day and warming up fast. Still no rain in sight and we are getting very dry here in South Bend. The farmers are praying for rain and plenty of it!! I know I have to water my garden everyday because of the dry weather. Had to keep those blackberries watered or they would all go to seed. Guess that is enough of the farm report!!!!!:laugh:
Goals are the same:
1. Stay op
2. drink water
3. exercise evry other day
4. be mindful of the hip
5. just love the heck out of my family
6. really focus on the "no junk food" even one bite
7. make healthy snacks
8. plan some food I like in my daily program
9. continue on John's challenge for fruits and veggies
That ought to get me through the day!!
:coach: Are we ready Snow Angels to face the day and its challenges??? Sure we are!!!!:cheer: :cheer: We are going to have a wonderful day because we ARE determined and WILL make a this day a SUCCESS!! We are going to plan our meals today and if we need take it one minute at a time.
Let's get it done and show the world how strong and spirited we are. We are winners!!!!! If you don't think so look in the mirror and you will find a powerful and success person looking back at you!!!!

Minnie mouse 07-08-02, 11:45 AM Good morning Lizzie and other snow angels~~ it is a wonderful day today.
I am eating well and i will exercise soon. i have cleaned, took care of kids and did laundry.
my goals for today:
1. drink all my water
2. eat within points
3. ride my bike
4. do arm weights
5. keep eating the fruit( i ncreased to 2-3 servings a day)
6. lay out and get tan for vacation
7. take daughter to her friends for sleepover
8. love my hubby and kids and tell them that too
9. love myself and take time for myself too
well i am going now so everyone have a great day and make it count!
ajmarble 07-08-02, 02:20 PM Well...I guess it is late morning.......I just got through with exercise and breakfast. I did Nordictrack for 15 min, and rode stationary bike for 45 min. My back was kinda tight, so I didn't want to do Tae Bo. Didn't want an injury! At least I did a whole hour of exercise!! I am feeling good today. I have a lot ahead of me today.....I am going to my stamp club meeting, and I am hostess tonight, so I have to make desserts. I think I will make a blueberry cheesecake dessert, and a chocolate cream pie, and a fresh veggies tray with homemade veggie dip. Sorry, if I made all of you guys hungry by that, BUT you have will power.....I know you do!!! I am almost done with my first 32 oz bottle of water, and am feeling better than I have all weekend!!! I hope that all of you are having a wonderful day, and are keeping yourselves on track!!!
YIKES!!!.......It is starting to thunder here, and very LOUD too!!! It is gray and cloudy so I guess it is probably going to rain all day! Lizzie....maybe the rain will get to you guys there. I know that in Wisconsin, my parents need it too!! I'll pray that this storm will get over that way and just rain for a few days!! OK?
My goals for the day........

Stay within calories range.........
Play with daughter....her pox aren't contagious anymore!!! hooray

Well, im still not in a great mood but im still waking up everyday determined to meet my goal!
Lizzie....it doesnt look like we are going to get any rain anytime soon................are the beetles getting you down? We are infested with them! Been spraying last 2 weeks but they are still everywhere. Here in Eminence it is dry!!! I also have to water daily and even then my garden is bone dry. Oh well, enough of the lack of rain....although I would love to complain about the fact that not that long ago I could barely get out of my town because of the roads all being flooded out and now look at it!!!!!!!!!!! Go figure!
ok....goals
14 glasses of water- already have drank 12
1 hr. exercise- already have done about 20 minutes.
no sweets- already blew that one.....:(
try and get out of this funk.
read my bible for 1 hour and remember everyone in need- did that already.
well, I feel awful that I already have blown one of my goals, I will be making that a goal everyday.

Well for the most part had a lazy weekend except I did do some yard work.
Ajmarble it sounds like your getting the storm we had last night. We got a little rain along with a great light show. Luckily I haven't heard of any fires starting from the lightning.
My goals for this week are:
1. Stay within my points.
2. Drink 100 oz of water a day.
3. Walk 1-2 miles each day.
4. Do yoga at least 3 times this week.
5. Maintain a positive attitude.

Hope everyone had a super day. Mine was a little touchy with my son at one time but on the whole a very good day. I have stayed on program and those 5 pounds are just about gone. Why is it the weight comes on fast and takes for ever to go???
Sandy as usual you are working like crazy and doing your exercising and all. You sure make me tired. I have accomplished so little today but that is okay. 95 degrees is to hot for me even in the air conditioner well not really!! But I did go out and cool down my flowers and plants a couple of times today. Got into the sprinkler when I set it up on my son's herb garden. Turned the water on to high and got wet.
Got my hair set and now am going to comb it out!! Doing my hair is a day long job. I am a retired hairdresser and I can style my hair and it will keep for a couple of days. Of course I haven't worked as a hair dresser for 20 years but I still keep up with all the styles for women and men. Still style DH's hair and for free!!
Aj, those sound like killer desserts!! yummmmm maybe I will make a dessert for DH. I won't make one until I know I am not going to be tempted tp eat it. We are suppose to get rain tonight but I am not counting on it!!
Good for you Christine!! Some times it is just rough to try and stay on program. But I have learned those days will pass and you will start having an easier time. MY garden is taking abeating with the dry weather too but hopefully we will get some soon!!
ellan, You have some excellent goals!!! That yard work can turn into a big job!! My weekend was sort of lazy too and still is today!! Thank goodness for no fires started by the storms!!!
Well angels it has beena long day in some ways and my head is starting to hurt. Oh by the way called doc about x rays and the hip is normal. Problem is most likely a disc rupturing and that is why the pain is so tough at tmes. Will get specialist appointment tomorrow and take it from there. Hope I don't have to wait forever to get in.

I dreamed about work all night so got up tired.....yesterday was super busy as was Sunday. We've had your rain here guys, tho AJ is getting some now. Abilene got around 12 inches in a couple of days with some major flooding. We were not as bad as Buffalo Gap and other towns who had whole areas under water. It's so sad.
We've rented 11 units since Sunday, to flood victims.
I'm back to where I was last Monday, weight wise. Have one of the gained ones hanging on but perhaps it will take a hike by tomorrow.
I didn't get my veggies/fruit/water........for two days now. I will take time to do that today. I feel so much better when I do and have more energy when I feed and water myself properly! Lile your gardens!
I did get in a 2 mile walk yesterday and was SO glad to have it. By 5 ,I was in a lot of pain and exausted. I was SO glad Sharon and I both were there. It was 5:15 before we made our get-away.
YUMMERS! That blueberry cheesecake thing made me want one! I have a bag and a half of blueberries still and I don't eat that much cereal so need ideas to use 'em up. I'll look on google in a bit for recipies. My Mom is bringing me the asparagus and cherries this Thursday when she comes over.

Christene........have you tried writing to find out what's going on? I joke about it taking me a week to realize I'm depressed and another 3 days to figure out WHY, as it's not my normal state. Sometimes I'm angry and feeling out of sorts too. It helps if I write out what's bugging me...........then I have choices to make as to how to FIX it.....and ya know, my sugar free peach pie option sucked!

Although looks like here in indy we are going to MAYBE get some rain today.................not holding my breath but ya never know. Watered the garden a bit just in case we dont get any.

Christine, Blondee is right. Write down what you think is going on and you will be surprised what you find out! I do that myself and many times go back and read it later and can see very clearly what is bugging me. I put a lot of prsonal information in my journal for all to see mainly because sometimes someone else sees better than I.
Bren, Mail headed your way finally!! Went out yesterday.

ajmarble 07-09-02, 05:28 PM I am getting in here kinda late today. I had to do some running (not literally) around town. I had to finish getting the orders from last nights stamping party. I am so excited. The party had high sales, and because of that, I get A LOT of free stuff ( for being the hostess)!! I am soooo excited about that!! :D I am gonna be a stampin' fool when I get all of my stuff :laugh:
I am doing pretty well today. I have to do a few things around here. My goals for the day are.......
Drink at least 96 oz of water.......
Eat within calorie range......
Find a new hairstyle....I'll probably get it cut this weekend yeah!
Have fun with my daughter.....

I did my hair yesterday and I like the longer style I have been wearing. Was real short around Christmas. Well today it is too long and too hot and the style rolled right out of it so I am going to cut and style mine Friday!! Thanks for the idea!!

Phew, what a busy day today. It has been a little hectic around work today. Only two more hours until I am off HURRAY. I have done really good today. I got in a 2 mile walk and have already drank 64 oz of water. Tonight I am either going to do cardio or weights haven't decided yet.

Lizzie, about the stamping.....Have you ever used rubber stamps?? If you haven't I highly recommend it ...very fun and you can make so many things...the possibilities are endless. Well....we have a little group of 10 ladies, and we meet once a month. Our Pastor's wife is a demonstrator for Stampin' Up. When we meet once a month, we get to make 2 things (we call them take n' makes...cards, scrapbook pages,etc, etc, etc). Anyways...I love to make things like that, so I decided this was something I could do. We have committed to spending so much per month, and that way we have a qualifying party each month. I first did stamping on my wedding invitations....300 of them, what a job that was! If you want to go see some exaples of things from Stampin' Up...go to stampinup.com :D It is sooooo much fun. Well...I must get going...hubby's home. Have to make dinner. Hope to see you all at the exercise chat tonight!! AJ

I was close to being back on track w/ my fruits and veggies yesterday. I ate breakfast (big) and didn't want lunch 'till 3 PM. I felt better in the long run, as when I eat a later lunch I'm less likely to eat the frig's contents when I get home. I tried the cooking a portion of pasta vs the pot and it worked quite well. Tossed a serving of veggies in so that helped.
I got 3 miles in yesterday! Yippee! I went to the HS track since I get an earlier start and figured since the hot tub is out right now I don't have the "treat" option anyway. I go around 5:30-6:00, no drive time and I THINK I'm beating the pollen up! LOL! I think it kicks in around 8 AM.
My feet gave me a bit of grief when I first got up. I used to have a lot of pain....heel spurs? But they totally quit when I started dancing a lot. Well I haven't been doing much of that the past 9 months and now they wanna act up a little. It's better now, once I warm up some. When I first get up I'm limpin' along.
I got in 72 oz. of water yesterday. I have a 36 oz bottle at work and I wanna get in the habit of doing 3 a day=108. That would do me for the day. The ones I have at home are 32 oz.=96, and close enough!
I'm gonna try to get a little nap....I got up before 3 AM and am running down! An hour would help, I'm sure.

Whew just finished my walk and my body was so glad to get home!!!! I walked my first mile in over 20 years!!!! WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!~!!!
Last night I baked my hubby a carrot cake and put carmel frosting on it. The cake was for him with me thinking I don't like carrot cake or carmel frosting. But wouldn't you know it I closed down my rational thinking and ate 3 pieces of cake. So I decided no beating myself up over chosen behavior but facing consequences. I have to be accountable to the stronger Lizzie in the morniing that gives into the weaker Lizzie at night.
The consequences for eating cake walk a mile!! I increased my walking from 6 blocks to a mile.
That is right no more beating myself up and feeling bad. Rule is choose the behavior choose the consequence. I am determined to make myself accountable to me for every chosen behavior. This behavioral management has worked for me in the past so I will implement it back into my daily life. Therefore I am going to list positive behaviors and consequences and list negative behaviors and consequences. All those psychology classes are coming in might handy!!

Brenda, You sound like me start out limping and then get going and move right along. Then when I slow down the limping comes back. I too have started cooking one portion instead of the whole box of anything!! Then I can only eat one portion!! Yaaaa

Well angels I am glad to see all your smiling faces today. This has already been an eventful day for me. Got my walk in. Now I am going to work in my graden. Got a call from the doctor office and my insurance will not cover the Pain and Rehabilitation Clinic. There is no way I can pay for it so I guess that is over before it starts. Have to find another way!! Looks like Ortho doc is up next!! Not going to worry about it!!
Well time to get busy. My goals for today:
Stay on program
drink the water
behave myself! lol
enjoy the day
just be happy and continue on my goal to being healthier and fitter.

ajmarble 07-10-02, 07:22 PM It is quite warm here today!! I am staying on track though. You guys are doing great!! Way to go! I weighed in this morning, and maintained for the week. That leaves me at 186....STILL. I thought that over the weekend I would have had a slight loss, but I guess not. OH WELL....a maintain is better than a gain!!
I am posting this late in the afternoon so I have already done a lot of things. I got all of my errands doen this morning. I exercised first thing this morning, and now it is too hot to move here. I guess maybe I should turn on the air conditioning.....what a novel concept!!:laugh: I just don't like to turn it on unless it is unbearable.....I love the fresh air, and IMHO...a/c gets too cold sometimes!
My goals for the day are....
Drink at least 96 oz of water....
Stay within calorie range........
Exercise at least 1 hour......DONE!!
Get some more laundry done.........
Make a nice dinner for my family.......
Give lots of hugs and kisses to my hubby and daughter.....

Minnie mouse 07-11-02, 12:30 AM wow lizzie i like your post. to make ourselves accountable for decsions we make. so if i overate something then i would compenstae by more exercise. i think its a good idea for the occasional slips. we cannot always eat perfectly or avoid temptations.
i traded in tongiht my 3pt cereal bar for a 4pt bag of swedish fish. i had the sweet tooth but i still stayed low in points today. i was bad and skipped exercise as i ran out of time. i layed in yard with my daughter and tanned instead. Naughty Sandy!
well tommorow i will and i will report my weigh in for the week too. good night.
Blondee49 07-11-02, 04:46 AM Good Friday morning angels......weeee hours as it's 2:20.I woke up at 1:30 and wallowed in my wonderful bed, trying to go back to sleep. I couldn't ,so got up to play awhile.

That's a real shame that the Insurance won't cover the pain management treatment. Egads! I hope the ortho Doc can give you some real help/hope.
I am the biggest weenie I know when it comes to pain! I pray a lot! Especially when in the midst of doing what I'm doing and don't wanna stop! LOL! You have a fabulous attitude!
That's super! Getting the mile in! And yep....the pain returns when you finish! But it feels so good to move!

The heat is really bad here too and it sucks the life out of me! I'm heat sensitive, retain fluid like crazy and am really whiny when overheated.....imagine that! ME.....whiny??
I got in 3 miles yesterday! YAAAAAY! 2.25 at the track AM where I also picked up a few skeeter bites, the little devils..........then another .75 at work. I'm feeling less pain than usual right now so I'm re-adjusting to the exercise and my body appreciates it. I hope to get past the stiff knee thing in time. Perhaps if I put some stretching stuff in my routine?
I got almost enough water yesterday. 90 oz. Will aim for more today.
My Mom and brother are coming over this morning some time, as she has a Dr's appt. (eye) She wanted to go to Redneck B-B-Q for a late lunch/early dinner but I may skip out, as it's on their way home and I'd have to meet them there. Too much temptation lies between them there walls!

Minnie mouse 07-11-02, 11:29 AM Happy thursday snow angels~~ well today was my weigh in and i lost 1.5 for week. i am pleased with this as i had a hard week and indulged on 4th of july. i am down a total of 36 pounds today and this is the end of week #14 for me.
My goals for today are:
hang laundry thats in washer now
eat within points
drink all my water
ride my bike
bake cookies with my girls
stay positive
well i am off to do my journal.

ajmarble 07-11-02, 12:26 PM Hello to everyone.....It is going to be another scorcher here today...they are saying in the hundreds again. I guess I won't be outside a whole lot today. I have already gotten exercise done for the day, and am about done with my first 32 oz bottle of water. I am going to take some time out to post some recipes in the forum today. Today is starting off to be a great day. Weighed in this morning at 263.5. I'm so happy! I didn't get any exercise in yesterday, was gone until late, and then had work to do. I WILL exercise today. Here are my goals for the day:
1. Stay away from the jelly beans
2. Complete a full workout-bike, arms, abs
3. Stay away from the jelly beans
4. Drink all of my water, plus more
5. Stay away from the jelly beans
6. Cut up some celery for my "crunching" times
7. STAY AWAY FROM THE JELLY BEANS!!
That should keep me busy today. My husband is very proud of me, and that makes me very happy! I'm doing this for me, but it's nice that he notices. He told me that I'm feeling better, and I told him to pick his words wisely! :laugh:
I hope you all have a great day! Our weather here is beautiful! Sunny, not hot, nice breeze...I actually went out and washed my mustang yesterday!! My husband was shocked. He usually washes it for me. :) Did I mention that I'm spoiled???

I have been sitting here doing nothing today and completely tired. DH did all the vacuuming this morning and I will do the rest sometime!! Not in any hurry.
It is a beautiful day and 78 degrees with 37% humidity. A splendid day!! I watered my garden and picked balckberries but that is all I am doing outside today.
My back is really hurting today and a new place on my left side of my back is hurting for some reason. I hope I didn't injure it too. Have to make a doc appointment for ortho doc in a few minutes. Man I hate to start going to him again. He is an excellent doctor I just don't want to go.
I am on my program today and staying on the lower end of points to get the weight moving down again. Really working on drinking water. Seems like I lose better when I drink the water. Duh!!!!!
Can't believe I am out of words for once in my life. Okay I know it is a shock !!! But I am going to sign off and check in later!! lol.

Looks like another beautiful day in Indiana and only 58 degrees. I took the day off yesterday from exercising and today my body feels better. I did not take a day off my program but my body feels like I have eaten enough for two people. That however was not the case. I stayed on the lower end of my points.
I am not sure why my body is rebelling but I will not give up. I had gained 5 lbs over July 4th and how I am still not sure but anyway I had gotten 4.5 off. Yesterday I stepped on the scale and 3 were back. I refuse to get discouraged for too long. Although it is getting harder to bounce back.
I am thinking maybe portion control is the key. For today I will :
1. Measure everything I eat to check portions
2. Eat 3 fruits
3. Eat 6 veggies
4. Eat 3 meals plus 2 snacks
5. Drink the 8 glasses of water
6. Walk early this am.
7. Remember to be thankful that I have another day to start again.
8. Tell my family how much they mean to me
9. Remember to be good to me.
There is my plan for today!! I will do this no matter how long it takes. I am in my 8th month of dieting/lifestyle change and have lost 32 lbs. I have come a long way and proud of my accomplishments. I do however need to remember that I still have 108 to go. Be proud Lizzie but get your butt moving!!
My mini goal for July is to lose 4 lbs so I need to get on with it and MOVE FORWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!
:coach: The time is 6:22 am and time to get dressed and go for my walk. Walk Walk Walk Walk that is what I need to do. Nothing can stop me unless I allow it to. I choose to be healthier and fitter. To acomplish this I must continue on my quest!! No stopping and giving in!! Take advantage of the day!! The possibilities are endless but only if you look for them!!
Time is wasting!! Move it and make this day better than yesterday!! :lift: and:water: and:wave: as you walk!! Too funny now do it!!

My brother didn't come with Mom so I went with her to the Doc. appt and yep.....we went to Redneck BBQ. I did ok tho as it's not a buffet type thing. The tater salad sucked too so it was easy to not overdo! OH well...........it was something new that I'd not repeat.
Today is cooking day for me. Getting it done early or the stuff would still be sitting in the frig next Thursday!
I'm getting my car in the shop on Wednesday for repair. I haven't taken very good care of her, I'm afraid. Kinda like myself!
Hey Minnie! Congrats on the 1.5 pounds and 36 total! I wanna do that! In 14 weeks! Awesome!
I didn't get my walking or water in yesterday.......hmmmm didn't do the other either. No excuses, I'll just call that my day of rest. I take one a week anyway. So onward ho today!

I didn't quite make my goals yesterday. I vacuumed, but never did my work out. I'm feeling kind of tired and dragging. I think my son may have given me his cold. My nose is red and sore from blowing, I thought it was just allergies! Oh well...
Today will be hectic...after work I have to pick up my oldest son, go to my tanning appointment (fat looks better dark!!), pick up my youngest son...then survive the night with both of them! :laugh: They are going to help us tomorrow clear the trees and brush from the land. I've been on the phone most of the morning trying to get things started -- electric, phone, brush hogger (sp?). Crazy!! I'm so stressed from all the things I need to do! And I'm extremely tired. My internet business has been busy all week, and summer is usually the slow time! Maybe the heat is keeping people in? Who knows...
I've been good about my snacking, not craving carbs any more! Ate at the high end, but still within my points. Just wish I would have exercised. I have plenty of banked points so I'll be ok.
This is funny...I was just reading Blondee's saying "I want to be Fit, Fine and Fabulous at Fifty". My motivator was that 40 was approaching and I don't want to be "Fair, Fat & Forty"!! That is what I'm giving myself for my 40th birthday. I will lose this weight, be thin for the first time as an adult, and be happy! I have everything in my life that I've ever wanted, so now it's time to take care of myself so I'll be around to enjoy it!! I have 1 year and 3 months to lose 89.5 pounds. I CAN DO THAT!! I WILL SUCCEED!! How's that for a long-term goal?

Well, I took it easy yesterday, and I'm taking it careful today also. Giving my body a chance to heal some and maybe feel better because of it. Today I felt some better already. Tomorrow I will start walking again.

ellantehalima 07-12-02, 06:35 PM Well it is another hot one here in eastern Washington. We have been in the 100s for the past couple of days and they say it will be hotter tomorrow. The good thing is it is supposed to start cooling down starting Sunday. Hopefully the weatherman will be right. Especially since I have another horse show on Sunday and the thoughts of wearing a black jacket in this heat is not very pleasing. The good thing like I keep saying is I have no problem drinking my water.
I had a good weigh in last night and am down another 2.8 lbs.:D I have lost a total of 37.2 since I joined ww 18 weeks ago. I am almost halfway to my final goal.
My goals for this weekend are:
1. Eat within my points.
2. Drink 100 oz of water a day.
3. Go for a walk on Saturday.
4. Have fun at the horse show.
5. Stay cool, stay cool, stay cool.
Everybody have a great weekend and I'll see you all on Monday.

I spent many years of my life for others.........2 husbands for example and never gave a lot of thought to MYSELF until the past couple of years. This one especially was to "be for ME", as I turn 50 in December.
You've done great and come so far! Take really good care of yourself and allow yourself the rest you need right now. The summer cold thing will knock your socks off. Got chicken soup?
I got my cooking/freezing thing done yesterday. I have a freezer full of meals for the next two week period. If I can get me to eat my salads I'll be doing good.
It's back to work today. Gotta get ready so I'm off for now.

I went to the messeuse and had her work on my legs and hips for an hour. Boy did that feel good. Ready to tackle the world now.

I was thinking how fast Sunday has gone by. Then I happened to realize it is Saturday!! Yikes! Time is not moving quite as fast as I thought.
Went grocery shopping yesterday and actually enjoyed myself except I got very tired while I was out!! I found skinny cow and was so excited !!!! I said out loud at the grocery "yipeee skinny cow!!!". I looked around hoping no one heard but a few did and just smiled knowingly. Like yep she is a dieter!!
I was smiling to myself thinking about how great my hair turned out for once and I heard this voice from out of nowhere. "What kind of perfume are you wearing?" There stood a lady with a timy baby strapped to her chest somehow. I told her it was "Windsong" and she smiled and said "You know that is the same smell my grandmother always had years and years ago." All of a sudden I felt very old and ancient. Then she said "Well it was about 10 years ago." I am not sure if that was a complaint or compliment. She kept talking as she moved away!! Still not sure why she wanted to share that information with me. That was the excitement for the day!!
I was going to cut my hair and changed my mind and only trimmed the top. That should do it for a while or the next very hot humid day.
Well how is everyone doing on their goals???? I will fess up and say I am having a hard time right now. I gain a couple of pounds and then lose them then gain again and then lose!!! Getting real tired of this. I think I know one of the reasons. My daily schedule is weird and I eat at the wrong times of the day. So I am going to have to work on my day!!! Been looking at my journal and discovered a few things.
I have found by READING the label the ff dressing I have been using is loaded with points!! So I am seeing where a lot of extra calories are coming from that I have not been counting. I also learned that the amount of coffee mate that I use is also adding lots of calories. Enough from both items to sabatoge my diet. I use extreme amounts of non dairy coffee creamer and ff dressing!! While I was at the grocery store I bought Italian dressing for salads and READ the label and found only 16 calories per serving instead of 45. Those two things alone will make a big difference. Also noticed I use peanut oil for cooking if I need to cook something on the stove like an egg. Been adding uncounted calories there too. I switched to fresh fruit and veggies and not canned and cut out a lot of extra calories plus sodium. I can see where I have added lots of calories that were not counted.
I also found that when I reread my journal of listed food I have not always counted the cheese I put in my salads. Just things like this has really caused me not to lose weight and in fact gain. So I am still watching and trying to cut out all the extra calories. Wow I didn't realize so many had creeped into my diet!! Good reason to keep a journal.
This morning I got up early and ate a banana and then it hit me then I did not record it. Now I am wondering how many times I have done that without recording the banana. Thought I was keeping such good records and know I see I haven't. So starting today I am really paying attention to what I eat and record and watching for those hidden calories that add up to points fast!!
I want you all to know you have been doing an excellent job staying with your programs and exercising. I think we are going to make Dec 31 with no problems!!! I have found a lot of my trouble and am correcting it. You all are doing the same thing. See a problem fix it and go on!! What a fantastic group!!
I have accomplished my goals for the day so no need to write post them. I am taking a lazy day and not walking today but will do it first thing in the am.
Okay then I am going to go rest!! Been out working in the herb garden and pulling weeds. Wow the hot sun sure makes me tired.

It's good you found some problem spots and are working on corrections. Hey, that's a lesson for ME too! I need to really pay attention!
I KNOW my problem foods.....it's my internal insistance on having them that is causing me grief! And I'm playing yo-yo too and don't like it at all.
I notice when I don't get enough water that I retain more (body tries to hold on to what it has) I am more fatigued and sometimes I mistake thirst for hunger and it's not food I need but water. I get really cranky sometimes. Where's my journal??
I've gotten 11 miles walking in this week. Could have and wanted to do more. I'll eventually make a habit of it and will do it without thinking about it. That was more than I THOUGHT I'd gotten and then I tallied up my days. I need to work on my off days as I tend to laze about much TOO much! Well, the cooking thing knocks me out but I don't like it much and know I WOULDN'T do it on a daily basis.
I got into my boss's orchard yesterday and got some lovely peaches, one apple and 5 skeeter bites from MONSTER skeeters! I think they've been into the miracle grow. Speaking of which, wish it worked on hair!
Speaking of THAT.....I too, need a haircut......bad! It's really ragged from the perm I put in it 3 months ago. It's a bad hair day for me EVERY day!
I'm making a cake for my co-worker's Birthday nd need to run to the store. I wanted to do an Italian cream cake but weenied out as I KNOW "ME" and I would've made two and eaten one. So I'm doing the package thing instead! The pan is part of the gift.

Good Morning Snow Angels,
This week has been going fairly good for me. I kind of slipped up on my eating, but i'm back on track now. Lucky this time I was able to get back on track right away and didn't wait around 2 or 3 weeks like i usually do. I also slipped up on my workouts, I skipped on day last week, so it wasn't to bad. I've been trying to get up earlier to get my workout finished before it gets to hot. This morning I woke up at 6:40am, and by 7:00 I was doing my workout. I was going to set my alarm last night, to wake up at 7:00 this morning then I decied to forget it and wake up when I wake up. I guess it was a good thing I woke up early today. Tomorrow is my normal weigh in day and I'm going to have to rethink my end of the year goal. I think I need to set it a little bit lower so I know that i will achieve in reaching my goals.
My goals for this week are
1. stay on program (doing pretty fair with this one)
2. workout 5 days (doing good with this one)
3. drink 4 liters of water a day(doing excellent with this one. I sometimes drink more because it's been so hot)
