Ay caramba. I'm new to this, so let's see what comes out of it. Basically I haven't been faithful to my plan. I've been slacking off, walking slower and sometimes overindulging. It's the start of a new week and here I am.

Well, today didn't go as planned. It rained all day long and it threw me off my schedule. Nontheless, I was able to sneak in a 3-mile walk in the afternoon. I walked and ran, a complete first for me. My boyfriend suggested that I incorporate running to spice things up a bit. I've been walking since November and I must say that sometimes I do get bored. Perhaps the 1-minute running spells will motivate me or at least take some of the boredom away. I've also decided to walk on my own. I can go faster when I do it alone. I want to get back to my 4mph speed. When I walk with friends I tend to walk at 3mph. But we do tend to walk more. But I simply don't have the time for a 2 1/2 hour walk. I will miss the conversation. After my walk today, I did 20 minutes of toning. It's getting easier and I don't feel as sore as I used to before. I love using toning cords.

See you tomorrow, journal.

Jounal,

it's been a while since I last posted. Unfortunately, I've been tied up, but I have kept track of my calorie intake as well as of my exercise. Since my last post, I've walked 24 miles! Yeah for me! I've felt great. I'm getting up earlier, usually around 6 and am on the track by 6:15. I'm more consistent with the toning cords and the stepper.

I've decided to walk tomorrow. Just 3 fast miles...afterwards, I'll spend the day shopping for a watch with my mum. I still haven't walked past Auden Street. I get tired a couple of lights before.
I broke my plateau!!!!!!!!!!

Minnie mouse : Thank you for the words of encouragement. You're right, it does pay off. Now that I've seen tangible results, I'm really excited about continuing to walk and eat better. You've also lost quite a bit. I still can't imagine what it will feel like to be under 200. Kudos to you, Minnie!!
