I had to buy an air conditioner because my 5000 btu in the bedroom was dying.. it was so loud it would wake me when it turned on.. anyway, I just got my new one today... its a 10,000 btu .. and it has a remote.. oh geez... I had no idea air conditioners had remotes.

John??? are you trying to rub it in that you are lucky enough to even OWN one?? Hmph.. :D My mother has a portable fan which comes on a high adjustable stand that she just bought that has a remote on it.. WHICH is great because she is 75 years young.

John I can lament as I was raised in a different climate that doesn't require AC and now spend hundreds all summer paying the dang electric bill. Can't even imagine what a unit costs.

is it a swamp?? they work well here until it gets humid. we have the other kind and it is very expensive to run but well worth it. hope you are nice and cool
