Good news for anyone who does lift weights. Short workouts rule!

Once you start lifting, your body releases anabolic hormones to stimulate muscle growth. This only lasts for about 45 to 60 minutes max. Keep going after that, and your catabolic hormones will rise and kill most of the results of your training. These elevated hormones are also a precursor to overtraining!

Need proof? Dorian Yates, Mr Olympia for most of the 90's, is in and out of the gym in less than an hour!

I have a home gym and a treadmill and I use the treadmill about 20-30 minutes a day and the gym about 15 minutes a day.
