Hokay, here I go. Tomorrow I start back to school-teaching that is. Today I had a pretty good size lunch and a pretty good size dinner. I am not going to count calories because that only makes me crazy. Then I ate about two cups of grapes. hum....
I am so happy that I've stopped gaining. I am not that active, so I know that is why am at a plateau. Maybe getting back to the class will help.
This time, no M@M's meant for the kids. No sneaking food in the room and not eating in the lounge at lunch time. Like I can really hide that candy that I eat. No one sees it in the bag, they just see it on the hips. Duhhhh....
I am allergic to candy- I break out in fat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Second day-first day back to school. Ended up being pressured into going out to lunch. Had a grilled cheese sandwich. It's hard since I can't eat salads.
In the room I had one 45 cal. box of raisins, a few diet mints, and one, 1, uno, tiny yellow m@m. Got home. I am starving, Wonderful husband cooks. So, I am typing. Had one more box of 45 cal. raisins.
My friend Nancy said I was serious about the diet. It's funny, I'm not. I am not trying to lose weight, just trying not to gain any more. I've given up on losing. So, I will maintain. And right now, that's okay.
May add more tonight if I fell the need to binge.

as someone who is struggling with those last pounds i know how hard it is!
not gaining is certainly a big job also and i have been doing that for two years to maintain my goal weight. only in the past few months have i started trying to lose again.
keep up the good work magpie....you will succeed.

Welcome here. Glad to see another journaler. It really helps to be able to come here and tell it like it is - good or bad- and have people come and accept us and encourage us. Keeping from gaining is a big feat in itself so good for you. That is where I am right now. Especially when the weather was really hot.
I noticed that you don't exercise much. I have found that moving is a really help at dropping the weight. Even walking each day is a big help. On Tuesday nights here we have an exercise chat. You are welcome to come check us out anytime. Lots of people moving each week. It is a real motivator. Don't worry, there are people of all ranges of exercise coming to the chat. I usually lead it but have been without a computer for most of the summer. Lizzie is leading it while I am away. I will be back to chat though on Aug. 13, I hope, I would love to see you there.
