Ok I had a journal before and I was doing so good BUT I discovered that going off track for a couple of days leads to a month and then another month !! So here I am trying again, the weight I did lose I have not gained back so I am starting at 278. Today so far to eat I have had the following:

breakfast:
low fat yogurt with granola and honeydell melon pieces (yum)

got the idea from the McDonalds parfaits :D, they are better when you can pick your own fruits and they cost too much anyways .. make them at home, they make a great and filling breakfast

Dinner
sausages with cream corn
1 popsicle (blueberry)

a hand full of 'body smarts' chews .. great 'non-candy' when you need that candy fix and they have added vitimins :)

Exericse:
Walk away the pounds 1 mile with 2 pound weights

I have to start on the water again also but have to buy some, I cant stand tap water .. BLAH !!!

I have done nothing but complain to myself in the last few days of how far I could have been by now if I stuck to it but I relize that if I dont do something NOW I will still be complaining another month from now so here we go again .. I admit to a month + of downtime and now things are going to change .. CHARGE !!!!!!!

Ok, so maybe you had a month or more of downtime, but, on the plus side, you didn't put the weight back on. Which is an achievement on itself. As is coming back and admitting that you haven't been doing so great, but want to do something about it. And, more to the point, are doing something about it.

report for August 5th

I am actually surprized at myself cause it was my husbands birthday, we went out and I was a good girl =)

ceasar salad (not a lot of ceasar on it)
1 bottle of water
1 small 7-up
I serving sheppards pie (only ate about half .. was full fast)
1 bowl (small) of frozen yogurt
a bunch of fresh honeydew melon pieces (love it !!)
1 popcicle

none of that was in that order lol

we went to the Toronto island so we did sooooo much walking and then walked some more when we got to the mainland again.

stopped at the market on the way home and bought some more fresh fruit .. honeydew melon, canolope (sp) and watermelon .. all of which are already cut into pieces when you buy them so its easy to just grab a few when you get the muchies.

Another day done .. :)

August 6 report:

1 coffee
bowl of honey nut chex with 1% milk
handfull of body smarts chews
5 chucks of canolope
6 ritz crackers with a bit of cheese whiz (not good but better then chocolate)
mac and cheese (not kd, frozen kind .. about a cup in total)
canned peaches

walked about 4 blocks today .. was a busy day and got home around 1am so didnt get any exercise video in but will tomorrow for sure

I want to lose 79 pounds total and it seem so far but not too far at the same time .. weird? after my current goal my next goal will to be 1 pound less then my hubby and he's about 180. I also have a new inspiration, I seen a commercail for our local amusment park today and they have a new ride called 'the cyclone' and I want to go on it !!! it is a personal vow to fit on that ride next summer !!!!

Here we are again :)

1 turkey breast sub from subway - brown bread no ganishes, only ate 3/4
1 bottle of water - why I only ate 3/4 of the sub :)
handful of body smarts chews
4 watermelon chunks
5 or 6 canolope chunks
3 chicken strips (didnt really taste like chicken though :-\

I bought a case of bottled water today .. made ice cubes with one bottle and put a bunch of others in the fridge so my water intake will be more as soon as it gets cold lol

we (husband and I) went out today and did a pile of walking .. about 3 hours worth total give or take a minute

tomorrow is my first weigh in day since I started the diet again but if there is no change I am NOT weighing again for 1 month !! I figure that way I should have enough time to see some change.

you're still doing great!!! and now that you have a goal to get to (the CYCLONE!!!!) I know you'll keep at it!!! I wish I had your guts...I used to be able to go on those rides in my younger days but now they scare me to death!!!!! good luck, I'm rooting for you!!!

Yesterday was my weigh in day and I lost 3 pounds :) I weighed myself again today and it said the same thing so it must be right .. lol .. oh I was 278 and now I'm 275, looking forward to those 260's :)

Last night the hubby and I went out for an evening and had a few drinks and chicken wings BUT even though I know chicken wings are not great to have I had them plain cause normally I would let them swim in honey garlic sauce. I also had a bunch of carrot and celery sticks which cut down on the amount of wings I had :) We walked last night to and from home so I would say we did about 2 hours of walking total.

I am gonna try and get the hubby to go for a walk today (I hate to walk alone) or if not I will do one of my 'walk away the pounds' videos which I should anyways whether we go out or not. Will report later on todays menu when its said and done

Food report for August 9:

2 bottles of water
3 meat pies (real small)
gravy
bowl of fruit cocktail (canned)
small tea with a bit of 2% milk
1/2 raison bran muffin
1 popcicle

We did go for that walk a walked about an hour and I did the 1 mile walk away the pounds video when we got home :) didnt use weights this time though

I bought a bag of carrots also and I'm gonna cut them up into sticks (I looove raw carrot)

today was a better water day :)

3 bottles of water
1 small bowl of granola with 1% milk
1 small hamburger patty
rice with gravy (about a half cup)
popcorn (shared with hubby .. awwww .. lol)

now I am going to reward myself by watching a movie :)

August 11 report:

Had a bit of a goof off day but didnt do that bad

2 bottles of water
1/2 chocolate bar
popcorn with butter (went to the movies)
large coke (shared with hubby)
handfull of carrot sticks
granola with 1% milk and a spoonful of vanilla low fat yogurt on top
1 low fat muffin (tasted like crap if I may say so .. lol)

that was it and yes I know its not much but it was hot and I just didnt feel like eating

2 mile walk away the pounds video with 2 lb weights
walked home from movies, about and hour walking

I made Dave (hubby) eat half the chocolate bar cause I didnt want to eat it all, it was small bar though .. came with the popcorn at the movies, that was my treat for the week

On the way home I went to the store and bought 2 canolopes and a stalk of celery.

its suppose to get hot hot hot the next few days here and so I dont know what to do about exercise, I guess I will do the 1 mile videos until the hear tapers off cause we dont have a/c

the heat can be such a nuisance when you're trying to exercise!!! but even doing 1 mile is great...still gives a good sweat!!! when I'm not feeling especially active I do the same thing...god bless leslie!!
glad you enjoyed your treats at the movies...you had just enough to satisfy but didn't go overboard!!! I'm still not at that stage yet where I dare take a chance....maybe after 20 more lbs I will!!:D

3 mile walk away the pounds video with 2lb weights

yes I did the 3 mile walk despite the heat but for some reason I like that walk better then the 2 mile but I think its because when you get about half way through it slows down a tad and for about 20 you are just at the right pace .. not a hurring sort of pace which I find comfortable whereas the 2 mile to me just seems intense all through it but its still a goodie to :)
I dont know what I will be doing tomorrow cause I have to meet my Dad early and will be getting back late.. may not get much exercise in but will try somehow to do a bit of something.

I know I should be eating more but there is NO WAY I am cooking in this heat .. its suppose to cool down a bit in a couple of days though so lets hope it does !

August 13 report:

omg it was hot today !!

I had to meet my Dad so I walked to the subway thinking it wasnt 'that hot' and I wanted to get in a bit of exercise cause I wouldnt have time for my walk video WELL it was 'that hot' but I'm still glad I did the walk and got in my exercise and in fact I think I lost 10 pounds just from sweating !! LOL

Nobody needs to tell me I am not eating right at the moment cause I already know but like I have said before when its hot I just dont want to eat

8 ritz crackers with cheese whiz
1 glass of cranberry juice with tons of ice which I ate afterwards
1 turkey breast breaded
nibblets, green beans and carrots (cooked)
about 2 tablespoons of mashed spuds
a mountain of red grapes
1 coffee with cream (I was in air conditioning at the time .. lol)
1 diet coke

exercise was a 20 minute walk, well it was actually a 20 minute melt to the subway :)

tomorrow I will do a video

I am currently reading Richard Simmons bio and I have to say that the further into this book I get the more inspired I get to achive my goals, anyone else read it? I would recommend it if you havent :)

first things first

tomorrow is my next weigh in day but I want to change my weigh in days to Sundays so I wont be checking until then :D

went out today and got the yogurt, 12 pack of low fat varities .. I have one as a dessert most of the time or for breakfast

I am starting to really get my groove back as far as this diet is concerned, I find once again that each day that goes by that I DO exercise and I DO say no to the junk food that I get stronger .. :)

August 15 report:

gonna be short cause I am sooo tired *yawn* .. we went to a concert tonight (STYX) and it was out of town and I am just pooped :)

Ate at the buffet at the casino where the concert was but tried to be good

1 salsbury steak
2 diet cokes
6 small potato balls (sort of the size of gumballs)
green beans
rice
pasta
fresh fruit for dessert (hubby had chocolate cheesecake .. oh god !!)

looks like alot but I didnt take big servings of anything

we walked to and from the bus station so that was pretty much my exericse for the day, about a 45 minute walk

now I gotta get some sleep ... nite all !!

Didnt sleep as well as I was hoping last night, too hot !! but I think its suppose to cool down a bit and I am so looking forward to it

I want to get some more weights, 3 and 4 pound weights .. I have 5 lb but I use those for toning but I need something a bit more challenging for these walk videos, 2 lbs after awhile is just not heavy enough anymore :)
we are suppose to be going out tomorrow (later today actually) but I am not 100% we are, if we do it will be to the CNE and will be doing a ton of walking so I hope we do go.

Its Sunday and I am taking a lazy day off, had a nice dinner .. well hambuger patties and rice with gravy and now a glass of diet ginger ale and maybe some popcorn later when I watch the Shawshank redemption for the 20th time or so :D no exercise today just lazing around but will be back in full force tomorrow

August 19 report:

slow eating day today :(

2 bottles of water

I cant wait to get some money to do some grocery shopping, arrggg .. things are a bit tight right now so I'm just doing the best I can.

Husband and I are going out Wed and I am sooo looking forward to it, a trip to the CNE and thats the annual carnival here in Toronto which marks the end of summer. We will be there for the day and will do alot of walking as we normally do, horse shows, dog shows the midway .. ahhhh its nice to be a 33 year old kid .. lol

I was tempted to get on the scale but I am trying to get out of my habit of weighing myself everyday .. I will not weight in till sunday dang it !!

I have made a commitment to myself also not to eat after midnight, I dont work so I am up at all hours of the night .. if I am hungry it will be fruit only and I will try to do an extra bottle of water during the day to help (have to buy more water too .. eeekkk)

I am looking forward to tomorrow, we are going out for the day to the CNE and I can hardly keep still I am so excited .. lol .. its my fave time of year and I no matter how often we go I simply love it :)

Not much else going on right now, I just finished my exercise so I am just cooling down and having some water, husband is on the phone and I am lost as to what to do next :-\ guess I will go find a game site and play a bit

Ok I know I have not reported in a few day so I will try to get as much logged as I can:

Did go to the CNE on Wednesday and did walk tons, had chinese food (rice was bland, 3 chicken balls and 1 egg roll) and a bottle of water later on had a crappy hotdog and fries with a diet coke. Won a scale at one of the games LOL .. its not digital and it says the same thing my digital does when I weigh myself so I guess they are both right :) *wink*

Thursday:

Because I ate the hotdog and fries I did the 3 mile walk video with 2 lb weights .. right now I cant remember what I ate though

1 bottle of water

bowl of tomato soup
ritz crackers (about 6)
hambuger patties (3, small)
rice with gravy
cranberry juice

did my 'tone and sweat' video this afternoon with 5 lb weights .. arms hurt like hell now I must say, also did the 2 mile walk video with 2 lb weights even though my legs hurt after the toning video but I didnt want to use that as an excuse.

I tried on a pair of jeans yesterday that I have had for awhile and they were LOOSE !! I was walking around the apartment and had to keep pulling them up .. lol .. I can remember having to lay flat on the bed to get the zipper up, heeee !!

Hello! way to go on the pants being looser. i also remember laying on the bed sucking in gut trying to zip up pants and then throwing on stretchies instead.
now i have given away big clothes and no more stretch pants for me.
i am still weeding out big clothes from the closet and it feels good to make room for smaller ones.

Ok I am in serious pain, I am suffering from doing that toning video yesterday .. lol .. Sunday is my exercise day off and I am sooooo glad it is tomorrow, whew !!

August 24

mac and cheese (not KD)
1 bagel
1 bottle of water
a bunch of canolope chunks (some for breakfast and snacked all day on them also)

I know it does not look like alot but I really did O.D on the canolope :D . I bought 2 of them and they a huge ! so I cut one up and its a meal in itself and you know I didnt relize just how much water canolope has in it till I started peeing all day after eating it . . LOL

1 mile walk video with 2 lb weights

Only did the 1 mile cause my muscles are still screaming from yesterday .. lol

went out today and bought some water and popcorn, I love popcorn and couldnt do this diet without it.
Tomorrow is my weigh in day and I am looking forward to it, I will be in the 260's this coming week !!!! Yiippppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !! I dont know when I was in the 260's last, maybe when I was a teen .. arrggg.

August 25 report

Ok first off I lost 1 stupid pound this week .. grrrrr .. I know I should be happy but I want those 260's !!!!

Weighed in at 271

Today was my day off but I dont think I did too bad

1/2 small box of KFC popcorn chicken (shared with hubby)
1 large potato salad (only ate about half)
1 large 7-up (drank half .. get full so fast now)
bunch of canolope chunks (God I love canolope)
2 beef pot pies
1 bagel with low fat cream cheese

didnt do any exercise tapes but we did do quite a bit of walking today and I also bought 2 - 3 lb weights .. I love working with weights :) Now I have 1, 2 , 3 and 5 pound sets and plan to get a few more .. hee !

hi leeanne!!!

hey, 1 pound is still 1 pound!!! and alot of the water is still clinging to your body so cut down a bit on the salty foods & I'll bet you see a bigger drop next weigh in!!! even so, loose pants are a great sign!!!!!!!
I'm a popcorn freak myself & also very in to the leslie sansone tapes!!!
and I can eat a whole melon in 1 sitting, I love em!!!!

but yeah, I think the salt is what's doing it as I look at your foods...I go real easy on the salt a day or 2 before weigh in & really fill up on the water...I tend to retain alot myself!!!!

someone on here once told me think of a 1 pound block of butter. that is what it looks like off your body. so be very proud to have lost it. 1 less pound to lose too.

I love melons especially watermelon.
and of course honey dew and cantaloupe.

i eat 94% fat free jolly time popcorn for the microwave. 5 cups is 1 point with ww so its not bad at all for you.

August 26 report:

Boy am I tired today, I did'nt sleep very well but at least I should sleep good tonight.
Not a bad day, we are going out tomorrow so today was a lazy day at home

2 low fat bran muffins with a touch of becal marg (and I mean a touch)
3 bottles of water
1 small salsbury steak
mashed spuds (about 2 tb spoons)
kernel corn
bunch of canolope
1 bagel with low fat cream cheese

2 mile walk video with my new 3 lb weights and I must say that extra pound really makes a difference .. whew !

I am consering joining a health club, there is one not to far from here ( a nice walk) and when I can afford it I am going to check it out .. most likely after Xmas. I would love to go 3 or 4 times a week for a really good workout.

August 27 report (a day late)

Went to the CNE again yesterday to see a Beatles tribute band and they were FAB .. lol

yesterday was a truely lousy day for eating, didnt eat wrong (well) just not much

1 hot dog

2 mile walk video with 3 lb weights

today will be a better day for sure however I have never been a big eater (oddly enough) I just always ate the wrong things, we are going out for dinner on sunday (goof off day) and I am looking ver forward to that :)

lousy day all around, hubby decided to go out and didnt get home till 2:30 in the morning and had me worried half to death and before that I went to bingo and didnt win anything LOL

walked to and from subway, about a 15 minute walk each way

I am sooooo tired, was up far too early and did all the running around today, paying bills, doing laundry ect ... arrggg .. I need 10 hours of sleep !!

Ok I did end up falling asleep yesterday =) still tired though *yawn*


not reporting yesterday cause I didnt do much .. hee

August 31 report:

went to the CNE again and had my day off so I am not doing my weigh in till next Sunday cause I had a slice of pizza and now want to give it another week

1 pizza slice
1 diet coke
1 regular coke (lol)
1 hot dog (ate half and my 'better half' ate the rest)
a few crappy french fries
1 coffee
1 iced cappacino

had a taste of fresh carrot/apple juice made in a juicer, didnt taste as bad as I thought it would .. lol

did a TON of walking

tomorrow I will be back into my videos, Sunday is normally my day off but because of the pizza and fries I made it Saturday this week instead but now that the CNE is over I will be back on schedule .. summer is over almost :(

Forget it I gotta do my weigh in because I am 267 !!!!!!!!!! I made it to the 260's Yiippppeeeeee !!!!!!!!

Now lets get to those 250's !

I also just finished my 2 mile walk video with 3 lb weights, well check in a bit later tonight :):):)
