Good Monday Morning Snow Angels,
Are you ready for a new week and a new day???? You can believe I am!! Off with the old and on with the new!!!!!!! I just had a close call!! I went into the kitchen and what did I see staring back at me but a skillet full of sloppy joes!!! I had forgotten I made them for DH a little while ago. I had to hurry up and put them in a tupperware dish and put it in the refrigerator before I decided to have some. Almost didn't make it but put them away fast and grabbed some frozen grapes from the freezer and came back in here to post!! Now they will be too much work to get the dish out and heat some up and all that jazz so I am safe.
Well Angels I have a heavy heart tonight. My little 87 year old mother is in the hospital in New Mexico on life support fighting for her life. I didn't even know she was in the hospital until yesterday. She went in over a week ago to have hip replacement surgery. My sis said she was doing so well and they were getting her ready to go home the next day or so when she came down with pneumonia. Then she ended up in ICU on life support!! I wrote in my journal all the reasons for the mix up and why I didn't know about this happening. I won't repeat it all here. Other than to say I am very worried about my mother and wish I could go to her but that is not possible right now!! She lives with my sister who just got out of the hospital a couple of weeks ago. I did talk to my niece a little while ago and mother is not improving like they had hoped. But I know if my mother is able to get well she will. She has a lot of spunk for 87 years old. If you have any extra prayers my mother could sure use them. I know she is in the fight of her life right now and and when she gets well enough to go home it is a long road back to being well again!! Just breaks my heart that I can't be there.
Well in the mean time I have to stay in control of my program and my goals. I will not allow the stress of mother being so ill to sabotage my program. She wouldn't like that one bit so I must go forward and stay focused on my goals. For today my goals are:
1. Stay on Program
2. Drink lots of fluids
3. Exercise
4. Pray for my mother
5. Be happy and supportive of others
6. Watch for the possibilities to make today a success!!
7. Be thankful I am alive with choices to make
8. Love my family a little more than usual
I have learned one thing from my mother and that is never never give up on yourself. She always said that God never gave you more than He knew you could handle. I do believe in what she said but somedays tend to be more testy than others.
So here I am ready to face today and handle all life can throw at me !! Are you ready to face the day with determination and focus?? I am!! You can count me in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I must say how impressed I am with all the success the past few days. I mean everyone whether you lost weight or not. I say success because we learned about ourselves and are here today to continue being focused and determined to win!! Now that is just to cool!!!
I want you all to know how much I have come to appreciate each and everyone of you. We started out with a goal to lose weight but we have become a moving force that demands we be heard. We are losing weight and gaining dignity and respect for ourselves and each other. We are each one of us a powerful person who are making choices to be strong. As a group we are unbeatable!! Talk about proud!!! I am so proud of each one of you and proud of myself!!
Nothing will stop us from reaching our goals!!! So lets get this show on the road!!

WOW...........look how far we've come! The days just zip by whether you're paying attention or not!
Lizzie, your Mom will certainly be in our prayers today, as well as you and your family, love. It is so hard to be so far away in times like these. My heart goes out to you and yours.
I'm ready to tackle a new day, a new week......head-on! Yesterday was great, the bosses didn't pop in so darn it, I dressed for nothing! I'd have worn shorts otherwise! Only on weekends can I BARELY get away with that. Got my posting finished....finally. Have bills and deposit refund checks to write this morning and the reconciliation/monthly report......so will stay out of trouble today!
I guess yesterday was my "rest" day as I didn't get my walk in........gotta huff and puff the rest of the week! I did get in the pool for a few minutes. I'd given my noodles all away so didn't have a toy. I'd have stayed in longer with a noodle!
Hope you all have a wonderful day/week..........all our exercise gurus are up and at 'em!
Today I will:
1) get that water.......still not doing that regularly!
2) eat at or below points
3) Clean apt.
4) Collect more give-away goodies
5) get my walk in

Stacey: A NEW DECADE!!!! WOOHOO!!!
Had fun time camping this weekend, but overate a bit and went over my points on Saturday and Sunday, not by a lot, but still, not good. Will have to plan better next time as we go camping a lot. I cannot use these trips as an excuse to overeat!! I did get some good walking in and hard work cleaning and I did sweat A LOT as it was really hot.
On a good note, I did notice that my swimming suit was fitting more loosely.:D
Today is a new day. I will stay within my points. I plan to do step aerobics and some crunches tonight. It just takes one really good day to get me back on track and today will be that good day.

3. ride bike( i am after i get done here)
4.take daughter to dentists for checkup/cleaning (done)
well thats about it for today. gotta decide whats for dinner and get ready for work soon. i am tired today. had trouble falling asleep last night and had to get up early for my daughters appt which was early this morning.

4. Keep up a positive outlook.

Well, we're off and running....it will be another busy day. It is supposed to only be in the mid-80's! Brrrr! Whatever, the temperature won't mess up my exercise plans. I will probably only have time for a 1.5 mile walk today.
Goals:
1) Weigh down tonight!
2) Don't let anything get me down! Smiles are on today!
3) Walk 1.5 miles
4) Keep calories under control!
5) Get lunch packed, dressed and out the door by 5:30! 25 minutes!

I wasn't sure when I woke up WHAT day it was......I've been earning my keep since Friday!
Sharon and I both had a desk full of work to tuck away at 5:00 yesterday. Took me 10 min. to close as I'd left the gate open and had to reopen a program to close it. I locked the door after her so no one else could pop in!
Had a good day and stayed within points even with my chili-dawg dinner. Yummers!
Thanks for the new recipies you sent Lizzie! I printed off the info on night eating. I do it for comfort also. I've come up with somethin' that may work for me as far as the TV thing goes.......I've made the plain pop-corn and "let" me have it with tea or diet soda. I do the plain ol' stuff, 1/4 cup kernals in a paper sack....... 4 minutes in the nuker. Pops good.....like the microwave stuff. I add lite salt and spray on non fat "buttery" spray......yummers! I need the fiber anyway and this is a good way to get it while avoiding the overload of a second meal at night I was used to having. I feel better already just making small changes.
Had a nail appt. yesterday after work so it was 7:00 before I got home and had dinner. But by staying up later, I rested well, slept thru 'till 4:20 and was ready to get up and at 'em.
Headed for the track in a few minutes ! Yippee! (If I ACT like it's a load of fun will it become such?)
Have a wonderful day everyone! Hey.....since I worked in Sharon's place Friday, I'll get Sunday off! That's a rarity and I really enjoy it! :D

Yesterday went well. Ate right at the minimum points and got 35 minutes of step aerobics in before bed. It is soo hard to exercise at night for me so it is a major accomplishment that I didn't blow it off. Feeling back on track.
Today I will:
1) Eat at or below points
2) Exercise: this morning I did 30 minutes on the recumbant bike (8.44 miles and 225 cals), 2 sets of upper body weight training, 100 crunches and some stretchng.
3) Drink 10 glasses of water
4) Eat lots of fruits and veggies
5) Go through junk in the basement for upcoming garage sale

Wow what a beautiful day today!! I can't believe it is so pretty and not to hot or to humid!!!!! My kind of day.
Well I jumped out of bed early this am and realized I was tired so I did lay back down and watch some news on tv. I never turn my TV off so it is always on 24/7. I am so use to hearing music or TV during the night that if it is off and quiet in the house no one sleeps. Started leaving on TV when boys were babies so the night noises wouldn't wake them up. Now we have constant background music. Plus lights are on all over the house. Since DH has always worked nights I didn't want people thinking no one was home so I kept lights on to also fool any burglers!! Now you all know my biggest fear of someone breaking into my house at night!!
Anyway today is nice and I am staying on my program and feeling great!! Got good news about my mother last night and hopefully today when I check she will still be doing great!! I am so worried about her! I know she is frightened to be in the hospital. Bless her heart I would give anything to be there with her but it is just not possible. Anyway I will call and check on her in a few minutes.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I know all the extra prayers helped her to start feeling better. Thank you so much. We do believe in the power of prayers.
I have been having some fun watching the garden grow!! Starting picking tomatoes and cukes and peppers. Love those fresh salads with home grown veggies. Really glad my tummy healed so I could eat them also.
How is your day going??? Mine is going great and going to get some bike riding in today!! I have been wondering why my scale is so slow to move and finally decided that is how it is going to be a slow process. I have to accept the fact that I am not a fast loser. If I lose a pound a week that is really a big deal so I am going to appreciate any pounds that leave. I will not get discouraged or even think of quitting. I have to much determination for that!! My motivation and will power have been getting me through some rough spots!! So I know I will succeed!!!
Why is it so hard to pass up food that is not good for us???? The only thing I can think of for me is that I spoiled myself and tricked myself into thinking that I can eat anything and I will still be fine. Or that one helping is not going to hurt and besides who knows anyway??? Well anyone that looks at me knows I have indulged in lots of just one helpings!!! Plus I have used every excuse in the book to say okay to instant gratification. Well NO MORE!!!!
I have every intention and working hard to get to my December goal. I also know that I can only do it one day at a time. Therefore I have to put a lot of energy into one day!! But guess what ??? I will do it!! I only have 8 hours left for today and it that will fly by!!! I have a lot ot do in those 8 hours and exercising is one thing I will get done!!
Been drinking my water. Had to laugh when I read about Brenda putting a hose down her throat to get her water in!!! Too funny. But come to think of it not a bad idea!!!
Okay time to get to work and accomplish my goals for today which are:
Stay on Program
Exercise
Drink fluids
bike
Do some light house work
water my garden
check out dogs tummy for rash
enjoy every minute of the day
watch for all the possibilities to make this a super day!!
Alright that will get me started!! We all will do this!! I know we will. Now is the time!! JUST DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday morning.........it is! Yippeee.........I'm off today and I was ready for it! Was in bed at 6:30 last night..........I've not been so tired in quite awhile! Skipped TV and my pop-corn even! LOL!So much for the all play-little work! BUT........it will slow down in the week ahead.
Lizzie......am SO glad to hear the good report on your Mom. Hope she recovers quickly and can go home. It is so evident, how much you love her and we will continue to keep her in prayer. God is the ultimate healer and comforter.........He will surround her with His presence, restoring calm and quiet.
Stacey........WTG!!! Getting down girlfriend!! I am SO looking forward to that myself!! I was so excited yesterday to see 205 again! You've really worked hard too!
Luci........I want your energy and drive!! It will come won't it?? I'm BELIEVING it will!!!!

Weighed in this morning and the scale said 228.5 . Can hardly believe it. That is a 3.5 lb loss for last week. After MONTHS of hardly any movement it is so gratifying to see the scale moving. The message in this is be persistent and consistent and you WILL eventually see results.
Yesterday, I stayed at the very bottom of my points and my goal is to do the same today. Am about as motivated as it gets this morning. Went to the gym for 35 minutes on the treadmill, 5 minutes on the track, 2 sets of lower body weight training, 100 crunches (tummy's actually starting to firm up. yipee) and some stretching. Will take a walk at lunch and am schedule to have a dinner/walking date with my mom this evening. The weather is great here too and I just dying to be outside.
Brenda: Drive is just a matter of developing habits. I go to the gym even though I don't want to some days and am ALWAYS happy I did. When I first started working out I only went maybe 1 or 2 time a week, no weight training and only 20 minutes at a time. I resented every minute of it. Now - if I don't workout everyday (at least a walk or something) I feel icky. I am seeing sooo many positives from working out, completely aside from weight loss I think I'd keep on doing it even if I never lost another pound. My propensity for depression has vanished, my marriage is better (because of my better mood), I have ton of energy, I'm getting stronger, seeing muscles. My message for you is HANG IN THERE, the drive will come. For now, your body doesn't care if you WANT to exercise, just do it anyway and it will repay you with lots of good stuff. YOU ARE DOING GREAT!!!

Sure is a beautiful day again to day!! Only 64 out and wonderful. I was going to take a brisk walk about 2 hours ago but layed down for a minute to listen to the news and woke up a little while ago. So I am still taking my walk I just can not pass up walking on such a beautiful day!!
Wow Luci that is super 3.5 lbs gone!!:) I knew you could do it!!!!!PLus in the 20's yahoooooooooooooooooooooooooo.... I am so proud of you!!
You are so right Bren just keep at it and before long your body will demand you exercise!! MY body is always demanding something so I just drag my fanny out and go a walk or do some exercising. I found out that I can do about 100 leg lifts sitting in a chair and that does seem to help my legs and back. Looks kinda goofy but feels right!! Been doing this a long time and just starting counting the lifts yesterday. So even if I can't do the bike or or walk any day now I can do the leg lifts and some upper body work!! Just so I do something everyday!!
Called to check on my mother last night late. Normally I never call after 10 but somehting just kept pushing me to call. Nurse told me mother had been doing so much better yesterday morning they took her off life support. The nurse said she had some visitors and after they left all her stats bottomed out and they need to put her back on life support but needed family permission. Well I gave her permission and then called my sis who has medical power of attorney ( we have joint power of attorney) and she contacted them to make sure they went ahead and put her back on life support. All I can say is thank God I called when I did. Turned out to be a long night!
She is a little better today and is back to heavy sedation. This is going to be even longer than I first imagined. I don't know how long she can keep fighting but I do know prayers help. So I am sending a lot to her. This is just breaking my heart.
Back to what I can control and that is me. Going to stay on my program today and get some good walking in. I think I will bake a turkey today and have turkey sandwiches. I bought a turjey breast and they are so good. I like the white meat and if I cook it right it is so good and not loaded with fat!!
Well time to get moving again and get the mind cleared of all the clutter. Walking or any exercise is good for the mind. One day I was reading someone's journal and she asked if anyone ever put a video in to exercise and then just sat and watched it?? Well Yallllll I did that several times!! Had a good laugh about that!!
So if I put a tape in I need to make sure I don't sit and watch it! Tooooo Funny!!
Okay my energy level is staring to find its way out of my fett and to the rest of my body so better move.
Let's get this turkey moving!!!! Are you up and ready?? I bet you all are ahead of me!! Okay I am catching up!! Also will weigh in later today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Happy weigh-in day...257.5 for me!! "Removed" 4 pounds of blubber this week...FOREVER!! I may have to adjust my Snow Angel's goal! I'll be at 240 in no time.
Lizzie: My prayers are with your poor mother. I hope things improve quickly. It's so hard not being able to be there when they're ill ( I went through it when my mom was dieing). Hang in there and be tough...you know she'd want you to!
My goals for today:
1) Not overeat at Ponderosa tonight (taking my daughter out!)
2) Drink water - struggling with that the last couple of days
3) Have patience with my 15 year old that acts like she's 2!!
4) Not kill hubby who has decided I look too good!
5) Bike if I have time when we get home

I am feeling super today. The munchies are finally gone HURRAY. Last week it was such a struggle to stay within my points and this week I am not having any problem at all. I have been in a sour mood the past couple of days and now it has finally vanished and left me feeling so great.
Stacey and Luci congratulations on your weight removal. You gals are doing great.
Lizzie hang in there my prayers and thoughts are still with you and your mom.
Brenda just keep at the exercising and eventually you will be ready to conquer the world. It has taken me a while to finally feel like this but once you do you will feel so great and will be looking forward to your exercise time.
Well I better get back to work.

Hi all. I just heard about your challenge from Sandie and Lizzie in the 100+ chat and it sounded fun. I'd like to join in. I would like to be 200 by Dec 31st but at the rate I'm going it's going to be a struggle. So far I've lost 15 pound but have ground to a halt.
Since I'm signing on at night I'll post my goals for Thursday .....
1) eat a good breakfast before heading off to work (I've skipped breakie all week)
2) drink my 7 to 8 glass quota of water
3) will eat a healthy lunch (skipped that occasionally too)
4) try to overcome the munchies that have haunted me all week
5) and try to make thursday a good positive day all around.

Congratulations on your 15 lbs loss!! I know what you mean about coming to a halt. I have done that and have really been working on getting myself to lose again. The biggest difference for me was making sure I ate 3 meals a day and scheduled snacks. I was having the munchies and I found by eating regulary the munchies seem to go away!!
I was one of those people that never ate breakfast and hardly ever lunch and then I was starving at night!! So of course I was always hungry at night and all night!! Now I am gaining control of my eating and doing much better. So far I have lost 36 lbs since December 31. That comes out to one pound a week for 36 weeks. Right now I weigh 248 and want to weigh 220 by December 31. That will be 28 pounds. I really wanted to set my sights on 200 but was concerned that I might be setting myself up for failure so i am going for 220.
So I have my long term goal and now I work on it everyday. What helps me to stay on track is coming here each day and posting my goals. My long term goal is set now i am working on the daily goal and only be concerned for each day. If I happen to slip up I know that I can get right back on track and start new the next day. The thing is to learn why I slipped up and not make the same mistake again. But being human like I am sometimes I have to make that same mistake several times before I learn. A good friend said I keep making the same mistake but learn something different each time!! That does make sense.
The only thing I ask is that you be good to yourself. So many times we treat others with TLC and don't give any to ourselves. We are all on this journey together and we look out for each other. If you are having a hard day let us know we are good listeners!! No one passes jugment on to others just support and concern for each other.
So Welcome and now you are our newest Snow Angel!!! You are on your way!! Yipeeeeeee!! Any time you need help we are all here!!! Have a super peaceful night!!

What a beautiful day with only 58 degrees and lots of sun beams filling the room. What a sight early in the morning!!!!!!!
Today I am going to have a great day. My goals are:
1. Bake a turkey since I ran out of time yesterday (lame excuse)
2. Stay on program-lower end of points
3. Rest my body today
4. Drink those FLUIDS!!!
5. Make sure my loved one know they are loved ones
6. Be a little kinder to myself
7. Accept no excuses from myself
8. Be proud of what I accomplish
9. Do some light house keeping
10. Be thankful I am alive and still functioning!!
Well now that should keep me busy this morning!!!:tomato: Can't help myself I love the tomato person!! Reminds me of how often I stick my feet in my mouth!! That is a feat in itself!! Hahahaha.
Now I know my day is going to great because I am approaching the day in a positive manner and will be prepared for all that life has to throw at me today. Accept no lame excuse or even ones that sound good at first blush!
Take control of today and have fun. Sure it is wonderful to always be a no nonsense kind of person but lighten up and have fun. We all will still accomplish everything we need to but with a lighter heart!! Today I am going to find the humor in everything and remember how neat it is to laugh!!
Motivation and determination in place and dusted off. Time to shine the sink and get started!! We will do this!! I know we will!!

15 pounds is super!! It will start moving again.

I figure in the week ahead I will focus on the exercise portion of my plan, and adding the fruits and veggies back in. I've gotten lax with that this past week. Keep it simple...........me like simple!
Lizzie, hon, I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. Bless her little heart.....and yours. It's good you called when you did. I know this is one of the hardest things for you to go through and I pray you find comfort in knowing how much you are loved, thought of and prayed for in this time of trial and sorrow.
I'm putting my list of "to do" stuff together......gonna hop to and get it done!
OH......Lizzie........64 degrees!! I wanna be there! I will be SO glad when it cools down here!

Yesterday was a great day. Stayed within my points, got all the good stuff in (water, fruits, veggies, milk etc...), and did an extra hour of walking last night with my mom.
This morning I am dragging butt a little. I may have overdid it yesterday a bit. Soo I just did 30 minutes on the treadmill.
Goals for today:
1) exercise - will take an extra little walk at lunch since the weather is gorgeous.
2) stay within my points - am going out for dinner with a friend to a mexican restaurant. Will plan the rest of my day accordingly so I can stay on target.

ajmarble 08-08-02, 01:22 PM Good Morning to all of my fellow Snow Angels!! I am so glad to be back. I just got back last night from our trip. We spent a lot of time with family, and did a lot of fun things. I did a lot of walking with my in laws. We got up every morning, and walked, and walked, and walked. I thought they were trying to kill me at first. LOL ..... They have been walking for a number of months...everyday, and I don't get to really do much walking, because there isn't many safe places to walk around here due to all the traffic on our road. Anyways...they are used to doing some serious walking.....as for me, I kept up. I was proud of myself for that, beacuse they go up and down a lot of steep hills. Let me tell you...that's is a workout in itself!!! They have a hill they call heart attack hill.....yes......I thought I was gonna die!! I was just proud and excited for myself that I could keep up with them. We went to the zoo, daughter had fun...they had a Wendy's day at the zoo. Lots of fun things to do with the kids. We also went to Yellowstone Park. That was nice to just get away, and enjoy!
I have been doing pretty good. I am down to 184 now. Lost 1 lb last week, and 1 the week before. I thought it would have been more, but I haven't been doing so good with the water, because I just hate to stop all the time when you are traveling. So...I think I am retaining water...oh well, it will all come off soon. I am back on track, and doing well. I WILL drink all my water today...:laugh: I am so glad to be back....:hug: :hug: for everyone!! I see everyone is doing well, and welcome Lee!!
Lizzie, so sorry to hear about your mother...bless her heart....the Lord will take care of her, and bless her! Prayers coming your way!!

Thank you for the thoughts and prayers for my mother. Every prayer helps her. I believe in the power of prayer. In fact my sis told me that was what brought her through her serious illness a few weeks ago.

shapenup 08-08-02, 05:45 PM Look at you Angels Go! Great job on the weight removal! I'm down 1/4 lb. from last week! Yeah! As the scale moved close to my week the prior week, I was just thrilled with any loss! :) I'm officially at 179 and am motivated to make this week a "not so close call." Only problem is ...I'm on vacation and am at mom and dad's and its not always the healthiest eating environment here. I'd love a 1 lb loss, but again...any progress this week is better than none at all!
Goals:
1) Multiple walks
2) Bike 5 miles or more
3) Keep calories under control
4) Turn down the junk food offered

I did fairly good yesterday with my goals.....I should have drank more water and broke down on the munchies (had chips BUT I didn't have the chocolate bar I wanted-- some progress) The other goals I got done:D

Wow.....58, Lizzie! I want some mornings/days like that! Spring around here lasts 3 days , then it's in the 90's and above for MUCH too long, then we have three weeks of Winter. We've had Winters when a coat was needed maybe twice!
Of course I'd be whining if I had the blizzards too, ya know! I lived in Chicago during one when the wind chill factor was 27 below and more and was so sharp it felt like it cut ya..........

I have been having a tough time getting my water in. Guess I need to look over my tips and solutions lists again! The garden hose didn't work!
It's back to work this morning. Switched days so I'd be at the office on Fridays.....earned a brownie point from my boss.....yep that's all! I am still somewaht tired but will recover quickly, I'm sure.

Oh, to bottle the feeling you get after a good workout. Got to bed on time last night and feel MUCH better today.
Stayed within my points yesterday even though I went to mexican restaurant for dinner and had 2 gin and tonics. This WW thing is very doable.
This morning I got to the gym for 35 minutes on the ellliptical (intervals 445 cals), 5 minutes on the track, 2 sets UBWT, 100 crunches and stretching. Will definately talk a 20-30 walk over lunch break to enjoy the weather.
Today's goal: stay at the bottom of my allowed points and finish cleaning my house

5) Give hubby some well-deserved quality time. He's been busting his tushy all week! And he's on vacation!!

ajmarble 08-09-02, 01:27 PM Hello to all my dear Snow Angels....Thanks so much for such a warm welcome home, it really means a lot to me. It is so good to be back. I am getting things back in order, and doing well! I did a one hour workout this morning, and am chugging the water as we speak. I feel great! I am going to be doing some laundry and some light cleaning around the house today....vacuuming too (hubby bought me a new vacuum on Wednesday-I love it!) I need to do a few errands too, so I will have a busy day. Not that every day isn't busy with a (almost) 3 yr old! I'm sure most of you know what I mean!! :laugh:
I am trying to find some things and prepare for her (my daughter) birthday party (end of September, but have to get planning now). We have decided on a "bugs" theme. She likes Bug's Life, so we picked the bug thing! I have some great ideas. I will be making her invitations, with rubber stamping and stuff. And, I am also planning on making her cake. We'll see how it goes being Betty Crocker (I'll be keeping my fingers crossed with that one.):tomato: :laugh:
I have lots of organizing to do too...I am going to get back doing my weekly menus.....it worked so much better! I will have to make a shopping list, I think we are going grocery shopping tomorrow or Sunday!
Oh...I didn't tell you all I got glasses last week. I really am enjoying seeing the world again! LOL :laugh: I kept getting nasty headaches, so I went in and had an eye exam while I was on vacation! I can see clearly now.....LOL.....anyways...I think I have blabbed enough, and probably bored you enough if you have even read this far into my post! hehe

shapenup 08-09-02, 02:49 PM Arrgh! I'm being bombarded with my family's bad habits. Munched on 700 calories of potato chips today. Am trying to counter the calories with exercise, but its not as intense as what I do at home. Any suggestions?
Tonight is a wedding rehersal dinner and tomorrow is a wedding. This will probably be the biggest calorie struggle of the week. I'm going to do my best to behave. Its so hard with this stuff constantly being pushed at you. I have a lot of self control, but could use even more!!!!

Finally could get in. For some reason I couldn't get into the forums!!! Yikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Panic time!! Actually I have calmed down and am relaxing. I have to be the most impatient person on earth. Except for my 5 sisters and mother!! I am really going to have to work on patience.
Well another beautiful day only a little warmer and and little more humid! Still a beautiful day! Ate breakfast and here it is only 1:30 in the afternoon. Good thing I don't teach anymore I would never make it!! I have gotten quite lazy in my retirement.
One thing I am not lazy about and that is my program!! I am full of energy and determination and motivation!! I feel wonderful and ready to take on this day that is almost over!! Already have accomplished a couple of goals. But here are the rest:
1. Stay on program
2. Drink the fluids
3. Rest the back
4. Do the bike
5. Check on my mother
6. pay some bills
7. think about cutting my hair again
8. work in the garden
9. prepare for WW chat tonight!
Well that should keep me busy for a while. Yes I am really working at staying on my program. I just can not allow myself to get off track regardless of what is happening around me. I have worked hard to get this far and I want to no I will continue to lose weight. I may lose a pound ever other week but I will not stop!! Now is the time for me to accomplish what I set out to do. LOSE WEIGHT!! Lots of other good things happening to like changing life style and exercising!! I am also making today a be good to myself day!!

My long term goal is to lose 30lbs by December. i would love to get back into my size 12 clothes. I have closet full of beautiful clothes. Some with the tag still hanging on them. Now isn't that discussing?

Hubby didn't get home from work until 5am this morning. They had a really busy night! I feel so bad for him when he has to work so late, especially after working a day shift too. He is so tired, so I will let him rest as long as he needs, and then we'll see about going if it isn't too late in the day.
I did well yesterday....got most everything accomplished. I did drink all my water, exercised, and stayed close to calories range. As for all the other stuff I had on my list...well, most all of it got done except experimenting with ideas for daughter's party. I can do that just about anytime though. It will be here before I know it.....:tomato: Anywhoooo....
I need to get going and start my day. I have planned pretty much the same as yesterday, some more light cleaning, exercise, drink 96 oz water, eat within calorie range, wash bedding, help daughter "clean up " her room. Hi everyone!!! Yesterday was a pretty good day. The only two things that I didn't get around to was the dusting and I did have some munchies. I went to a friends for a bonfire and party and had a few chips with my hot dog for supper. Otherwise I did really good. I'm still pleased -- I had a large handful of Hickory sticks --- they take longer to eat because it's one at a time and I don't eat as many. Plus we even went for a walk last night.

I have a to do list ready and a lot of it involves paperwork today. Things I just don't do on a regular basis. I need to get at my filing cabinet. It's full of God knows what and heaven forbid I had to find something fast. Perhaps I'll set my timer and work on it for an hour........at a time!
I stayed home last night. My friend Idella is sick and wouldn't be there and I don't really enjoy being there alone, lookin' like I'm on the make or somethin'. So perhaps next weekend......we shall see. I need some like-minded friends who will go dance for a couple of hours then go home, drink light or not at all and BEHAVE, BABY!
I need to make a run to the store for some cantelope, salad goodies and yogurt. Perhaps if I buy the greener salad stuff, I'll eat it......reckon? I waste too much of that type of thing as I'm not in the "mood" for it.
