View Full Version : Medra's new start.....again.....
Ok here goes my little weight journal...
So far since I've been awake (6 pm yesterday) I've eaten
-30 french fries....
And I've drank.....
-2 mt dew
-1 pepsi
-3 cups of water
oh the explanation of me not eating much food, no it's not starvation... I just haven't been eating much lately.
Minnie mouse 08-07-02, 10:37 AM Hello and welocme. looking at what you ate since yesterday doesnt look like a healthy diet. sodas and fries arent much to live on. you coul;d eat alot more of healthy foods and lose weight. actually not eating enough there is nothing to burn and it stores to fat mostly.
i hope you eat more today. what plan are you following.
im not being critical of you but it sounds like your body will be lacking nutrients to be healthy. do you eat like that every day?
to eat so little sounds like your body is starving for food. if you need someone to talk to you can pm me anytime you need to.
i wish you the best of luck with this. please take care of yourseslf.
dont take what i said as harsh or judgemental but it just doenst sound healthy to me. just an opinion.
Actually I know what you mean. But my family has been tight on money, my mom picks what comes into our house, and it's not that I choose to eat so little. I haven't really been very hungry since sumemr started.
Anyways....
My unhealthy meal for today....
Food-
-a big mac
-a glazed donut (take-out isn't good I know....)
Drinks
-2 glasses of water....
*goes off to beg her mom to go shopping so they won't eat take-out*
Medra,
Why do you think you haven't been very hungry? And why aren't you sleeping very much?
Do you think you could talk to your mom about the food thing? She would probably be glad to know you are concerned about eating healthier. Just be gentle.
Hope you are feeling better. Please take care of yourself.
No use being 'skinny' if you are sick too. That is no fun. We want to be strong and healthy. Hurray!!!!:lift:
hi medra!! glad to see you posting a journal!!
I'm sure in time you'll find the foods that make you feel better & help you lose the weight you want. sometimes some of the healthiest foods are even cheaper than the take outs. do what you can & see what works best for you.
also, read thru some of the journals & you'll see that alot of us are still searching for what works...so you're not alone!!!
best of luck!!!!

Lee Anne 08-11-02, 04:38 PM Hello and welcome :)
Perhaps you could go to the store yourself and pick out some foods for you, carrots sticks are a great snack instead of french fries, maybe some low fat yogurts and lots of fruits and veggies and get some bottles water and drink lots !
I was/am a fast food junkie and getting away from it is hard but the first time you push away and say 'NO' it gives that bit of strength to go go go !! Instead of the burger and McD's have a salad and some water .. doesnt sound like much but after a couple of times even that is way filling. The last time I went to Mc.D's I had a salad and bottled water and couldnt finish all the salad, made me feel good that I could fill up on something healthy.
YOU CAN DO IT !!!
Minnie mouse 08-13-02, 01:06 PM Hello! hope you didnt get the wrong first impression of me.
i agree store bought foods can be cheap and healthy depending on what you buy. it is cheaper than fast food too.
have a talk with your mom so you can have healthy food at your fingertips and you will lose weight but be strong and healthy too.
have a great day!
^^ Thanks for all your help! My best friend has been visiting and since I eat whenever she eats I've been eating more... actually a lot... I'll have to go to the store soon. My mom bought some vegetables for me... As for me being ill. I'm sure i'm ok so don't worry.
*is feeling fat again* my bff left but now my mom's watching me eat. So far today I've had an eggo waffle, some carrots to snack on, and 3 cups of water.
Things I've eaten today:
-2 eggos and a cup of oj for breakfast
-pb and j sandwhich as a snack
-baked chicken in barbecue sauce, spinach, and potatoes for dinner.
-some water and diet coke.
Ileana_Lopez 08-20-02, 10:21 PM Hi Medra,
I totally relate to the money situation, I went through that at the beginning of my diet also. If you look around enough you can find some really, really inexpensive foods that are good for you. I went through this rice phase which ,though not recommended by a lot of dieters, is very filling and cheap too. I ate it in moderation and it helped me lose...I don't know, maybe it's a Spanish thing :D
I noticed your picture/icon thingie...are you an anime fan? My little sister is really into that right now.
Thanks! ^^ Well I've eaten rice too much in my life to eat any more. though I get what your saying. And yes, I'm a huge anime fan, have been since I was 9.
