Somebody was nice enough to send me a message and suggest I start a journal; I'm here. I've never kept a food journal before.
I am hoping that if I keep a log of what I have eaten, I can go back and see where my pitfalls have been, and try to change my eating habits by determining what emotions went with what foods. Wish me luck!

Morning --> 2 egg beaters, water w/lemon.

Mid Morning --> 1/2 small honey dew melon, 8 oz skim milk.

Afternoon --> Salad w/romaine lettuce, carrots, egg, tuna, cherry tomatoes, leeks. Diet Coke.

Afternoon snack --> Homemade fruit cocktail: strawberries, mandarin oranges, grapes, peach & pear diced.

Dinner --> Halibut steaks, steamed broccoli, wild rice.

Today I feel tired, but not unhappy. I have been feeling tired a lot, lately. I don't know why. I think I have done well with my food selection for the day, and I pray I can stick with it through out the night. We'll see!

Your journal title is very catchy!

Keeping a journal here really helps me. Not only can you go back and look at your diet in writing, but it gives us a place to be accountable for what we've eaten everyday too. Some people include their workout routine too. I do that and add in my meditations as well.

Here's to your triumphs!

Tounce,
Hey welcome here!!!

I was just wondering about you being tired. Sounds like that happens alot.
Have you been to the doctor lately? It wouldn't hurt to get a check up. Why be tired if you don't have to be? Do you work full time? Do you get enough sleep? Where do you live? Do you exercise at all?

Well enough with the drilling. Keep up the good work.

hi toonces!!! oooooooh that omlette sounds good!!! I can't eat eggs anymore because of stomach cramps but maybe I should give those eggbeaters a try!!
I think nancy's right about throwing in some exercise...a nice walk in the evening maybe, could be rejuvenating!!!
good luck!!

Hey Toonces! I am so impressed with your eating. You are so healthy! But really, I am more impressed with your JFK quote. I like it very much. I have found that exercise is the key...it really is! You probably already do it, but since Crazy and Buji brought it up, I thought I'd chime in...LOL! It was absolute and total hell getting started with an exercise program and it is still hard to get myself motivated to do it each time, but it is sooo soooo worth it!

Have a good week this week! :D

I'm just curious what was the motivation behind your screen name? When I first saw your journal back at post number one I said to myself, "Hey! Toonces, The Driving Cat!" from the old episodes of Saturday Night Live. Everytime I see your name I think of that badly animated little cat puppet driving around and finally wrecking. Anyway, since you're on post number three right now I can still say "Welcome to DT" . I hope you have as fun using the journal forum as I do, because I can honestly say I have too much fun with my journal. (I have no life)
