Hi
I would love to join everyone to weight in every week.
I have joined ww and go to the meetings on wed. My
problem is I'm alone at night when my husband is at work
and I end up snacking for something to do. I have been try
ing to change my habits at night. Reading, music and going
on the computor. So far it is working. iTs all of two days.
Hope to hear from everyone out there. By the way I'm
from Washington where it rains alot so we stay in doors in
the winter. Have a great day!!!!

Hi Srsugarbug,

Welcome to DT and to WW. I am also a ww and have been for a while. I see you and I have a couple of things in common. We both have hubby's working evenings. My hubby has worked from 3 to 12 everyday for more years then I care to remember. I have the same problem at night so I am doing some of the same things you are. Mainly I get online and stay out of the kitchen. I am not one for going out with friends without my hubby. That never has felt right so I don't do it.

Like I said I spend a lot of time on the computer, read, watch some TV, listen to music or do crafts. I have to keep myself busy or I end up in the kitchen and I don't need to do that.

You might want to stop over at the WW forum and join in our 24 hour challenge. All we do is post each day stating our goals and then make a commitment to stay on goal for 24 hours. Then do the same day after day!! Before you know it days have become weeks!!

Hope you have a wonderful evening.
Love and hugs,
Lizzie

Hi Sugar,

Sorry I didn't respond to your message sooner ..... WELCOME TO DIETTALK ..... you don't say how much weight you are going to lose .... but the fact that you are here means you have made a commitment to achieve your goals.

You know Lizzie hosts the Weight Watchers Chat here at Diettalk ... every Friday at 9 p.m. EST in Scheduled Chat. There you will have the opportunity of meeting others who are also using the WW Program .. perhaps you have ideas that will enable others to achieve their goals.

There are several Scheduled Chats .... Monday thru Friday and Sunday ..... check out the Chat Schedule.

Start a Journal here (Journal Forum) gives you an opportunity to relate your feelings, successes and frustrations of your weight loss journey. One thing at DIETTALK -- YOU ARE NEVER ALONE.

If I can ever be of any help, please let me know. Again WELCOME TO DIETTALK AND TO ACHIEVING YOUR WEIGHT LOSS GOALS. Always, Monica

SUGAR,, My hubby worked evenings to till first
of June and he retired. but what i did was like
you are staying busy. but i cut up vegies and
fruits in a dish in ref. then i had those. Now we
have a garden so been keeping the little cherry
tomatoes and cukes laying out and easy to reach
for instead of something snacking. So make up
some sugar free pudding to its good to put in
little cup servings. also my friend makes up a
fruit salad and she keeps it on hand. Just keep
something out and ready. well good luck just
some of my ideas. it gets easier. i just got off the
chips and did that. so now off sugar and getting
it where i can eat them by portions and be
sensible. LaDean:ex:

:) Hi everyone: I can relate to your problems. My husband worked till 11 pm for years, then he retired about 6 years ago. And got in the habit of taking his walk around 6 in the evenings at the Mall because he had a heart attack 4 years ago. So he got in the habit of coming home at 8:30-9:00 . Then he wants his dinner.
So then I want to eat again. As hard as I tried to change him it just doesnt work. The problem is when I fix his dinner I end up eating again. I get so awfully mad at myself.
If any of you have any suggestions about that I would appreciate it so very much.
Thankyou
Hilde

Hilde,

While he is eating his dinner you could be eating a veggie bowl (raw carrots, broccoli, cauliflower along with a dip (plain nonfat yogurt, with seasonings). That way you would be keeping him company ... and you would not have to be X-( or :tomato:.

Make it a great day. Keep posting. Our journey to success IS SOMETHING WE CAN AND WILL ACHIEVE ONE DAY AT A TIME ....

As always, Monica
