Hi everyone! I am new to this board and am wondering if anyone has tried LA Weight Loss Centers. I have just joined and am cureous if anyone here has had success on it. I just read a bunch of horrible things about it on another web page and am really worried. I have tried every diet it seems and nothing has worked. I thought with the one on one counseling 3 days a week it would really help.
Thanks!
Marcie

Thank you so much for welcoming me! The program promotes exercise and it is sorta like food combining. I can have 2 proteins, 2 starches, 3 veggies, 3 fruits, and 1 calcium. I have to purchase their power bars, and they taste awful! I go in 3 days a week and weigh in. I have done Atkins, WW, slim fast, nutri-system, etc...and nothing has worked for me. I had to pay 364.00 up front. It made me kinda nervous, but I will stay with it since I have paid so much. WW cost me 13.00 a week and when I wasn't losing they just kinda looked at me and said "I don't know why you aren't losing" That was just too frustrating. Anyway..I will let you know how it goes!

Hi Marcie....Congrats on losing the five pounds. I joined LA Weightloss in January. I only lasted two months, but not because I didn't like the program, or wasn't losing. I lost 17 pounds in the two months, and the second month, I had a couple slip ups. I always had the peanut butter bar, and the honey yogurt one, I thought the PB were great....I am surprise you think they taste horrible(maybe because I am not a candy person) They seemed pretty good to me. I think I tried the chocolate crunch too..but anyway. I ended up giving up, because, I couldn't afford the bars. Things are tight around here, and I thought I would be able to swing it(actually, I don't think I totally understood the weekly charge, until after I paid for the weeks) I don't know if they were being sneaky, or I was just concentrating on the program. I thought it was easy to follow, I started on the red plan. The people were very friendly, only once, the first month, I had lost a total of 12 pounds and one of the ladies said "you should be losing more" that kind of discouraged me too, I think 12 pounds is great, and I would love to lose that much a month. I think you will do great with this program. I would like to read the negative things you heard about LA. I still have the stuff sitting out, and if I could find a bar that I can buy on the market that would compare but be cheaper to buy, I would follow that diet to a tee......good luck, and I look forward to hearing how you are doing. If you want to email me, my email is mia@sgi.net Take care....Barb

Hi everyone!
Well I received an email from Slamby77 about LA WL and I am not sure how to respond to them so here is my response: So far I have been on LAWL for 6 weeks and I have lost 10 pounds and 10.5 inches total. I love this program and have had no success with any other program. This program really works for me. I should have lost more by now but I have slipped up some. The program is expensive but in my eyes it is worth it. I paid 362.00 for 52 weeks. That is for me to come in 3 days a week, meet with a counselor, and weigh in. Then on top of that it is 27.00 a week for the bars, jello, pudding (your choice). You must purchase these b/c they burn fat. Do I like them? Not really..it does get expensive. I hate paying that much for jello. BUT it is working and that is important to me. I get the jello b/c it lasts longer. 1 package is 4 servings and you need 2 in a day. Slamby77 good luck with your appointment and if you want to chat you can email me at edwill4075@cs.com. Also there is a web page that has people on LA WL and we talk every day. Feel free to join us at www.3fatchicks.com. (http://www.3fatchicks.com.) Go to diet plans and you will find our forum. If you know the cost up front and you think you can afford it then I think this plan is the best. Most people who don't stay on it are having trouble affording it. They will tell you that it works, but it is very costly. Trust me things are tight around here and it is tough, but I told myself that I would do whatever it took to lose this weight. Good luck!!
Marcie
