I am constantly reading articles to better understand and improve the quality of my health and life. Thus the reason I am sharing this article.

FISH INSURANCE More than 250,000 Americans die suddenly of heart attacks every year. HALF OF THOSE HAVE NO WARNING SIGNS.

According to Harvard Medical School Research eating fatty fish could stop 80% of such deaths happening. For the first time research has shown that fish oil has been found to save lives in people with NO HISTORY of heart disease.

Men with the highest blood omega-3 fats had the lowest risk because fish oil prevents the irregular heartbeats that trigger instant death in heart attacks. The more often women eat fish the less likely they are to have a heart attack.

STROKES: Tests show that women who ate fish more than 5 times a week .... suffered 1/2 as many strokes due to blood clots. Like aspirin, omega3 oils discourage clots and have anti-inflammatory action.

CANCER: French researchers have found that women with the highest omega3 oils in breast fatty tissue were 70% less apt to have breast cancer than than women with the least omega3's.

A recent study from Sweden shows that women who ate fatty fish twice a week cut their risk of endometrial cancer by 40% as compared to women who ate fatty fish less than once a month. The study also shows prostate cancer rates were 2 to 3 times greater in non-fish eaters than in men who ate moderate or high amounts.

FOOD FOR YOUR BRAIN According to Canadian researchers, fish eaters are less apt to become depressed, violent, suicidal and antisocial. Julie Conquer a Canadian researcher say "eating fatty fish also may help prevent and treat Alzheimer's disease". She found low omega-3's in elderly people who were intellectually impaired and/or diagnosed with Alzheimers.

Danish research studies show that pregnant women who ate fish once a week cut their risk of premature delivery by one-third; fish oil is essential for fetal and infant brains.

OMEGA 3 BENEFITS:. According to the USDA the fattiest fish can be found in MACKEREL, ANCHOVIES, HERRING, SARDINES, SALMON, TUNA and TURBOT.

COOKING CORRECTLY: Deep frying DESTROYS THE BENEFITS; the best cooking methods: BAKE, BROIL, STEAM, STIR-FRY, SAUTE OR STEW.

If you don't like fish -- TAKE FISH OIL CAPSULES. If you are on medication or taking fish oil for a specific problem CHECK WITH YOUR PHYSICIAN FIRST.
