Well.. I've doubled my weights in the past 2 weeks. I'm doing leg, arms, chest and waist... where my waste/love handles (misspelled on purpose) is the only place left where I have issues left.

I have reduced about an inch off my stomach/love handles but I have gained 3 lbs.. but I think most of that is muscle. I have been eating more too, I believe, since I've started taking prednisone but I'm mostly eating veggies when I get hungry.... but I know that muscle weights more than fat and the muscle I'm gaining will in the long run burn the fat off my waist.

I have also heard that you burn calories longer when you are weight training. Muscle that is broken down during lifting will burn calories for several days as it rebuilds.

GREAT going John keep it up. shortly i am going to do some light weights coupled with reps, my aim will be to work the muscles not build any bulk, but as you have pointed out most likely those individuals near there natural bodyweight ( not me yet LOL ) will put on, but thats got to be good as its natural, its a long number of years since i trained with weights but i was once dedicated 3 evenings and a Sunday afternoon at a club and i can still remember that great feeling of strength combined with fitness.

And to jimwat you also are going great guns.

Thanks... my goal is just to get rid of the rest of fat I have around my waist... not to really bulk up too much.
