I can't believe my motivation is gone!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.diettalk.com/uub//frown.gif Out the window gone!!!!!!!!!!!! I've done so good in the past two months and then BANG!!!!!!!!!! one day I wanted to eat everything in site. Mind you I didn't but just about. I've put about 6 pounds back on and can't get motivated to lose it again. I'm about ready to give up and say "THE HELL WITH IT!!!!!!!".
Someone should just lock me up and throw away the key!!!!!!!!!. I can't get back into the walking thing because it was too hot this summer, and exercise equipment is out of the question. Someone please help???????????? Just call me a failure
YOU are not the failure, Joanne...the DIET is the failure. Diets are DOOMED to fail...they are designed to fail. A term of deprivation (diet) is always followed by a binge. It's the equal and opposite reaction thing we learned in high school. Let your body be at the size IT wants to be, instead of the size some weight chart says it should be (how the hell do they know??). Accept yourself as you are not as what the magazines/diet books tell you you should be. You are who you are....and we love ya just the way you are!!! (I'd put a little heart thingy here but I don't know how..yet..hehe)
I agree with Duffy... you are not a failure when you are on a cycle. We need to re-teach ourselves better so we don't go through this cycle.
IMHO, when we get the urge to eat, then we have not been giving our bodies enough of what it needs to survive, hence our bodies tell us we need to binge to make up what we lost.
I've been studing myself and since I've been steadly exercising and eating more and more healthy (more rounded meals that contain a small portions of each of the food groups). I have been "eating" less and have not wanted to overeat.
IMHO, most programs don't "pyramid" your meals correctly for different people and don't take into account a gradual diet change puts less stress on our bodies.
Someone who has overeaten most of their lives need to "slowly" decrease their amount of food and slowly decrease the amount of bad food and replace it with good food. It shocks our body when we abruptly change our diet. We need to slowly change our eating.
hopping off my soap box...

Hey Joanne! I agree with the other 2!! You have been there for me so many times in the past. Don't give up on yourself that easily.
You know that I rejoined WW last week. I am journaling everything, I am eating at the high end of my points, have even gone over this weekend. I know how you feel about the heat and the cost of exercise equipment. Sometime we just can't do everything that we know that we need to do.
Take care Joanne! Keep your chin up! I try to keep all of my chins up!! LOL
By the way, what do we do with all of those pretty pictures where it says message icon??
You always are "in the know" sweetie!!
