HI! I'm new here and I have a question for some of you who have already been trough this. I have been on a diet for the past two weeks and the first week I lost ten pounds. I did this by cutting fat out of my diet and eating only healthy foods. I also started an exercise program. Anyway my problem is I didnt lose anything the second week and I never changed my eating habits or anything. Has this ever happened to yall and when will I continue to lose more weight? I have 15 pounds to go. THank you, Melissa

Melissa cutting fat completely out of your diet is not a good thing to do. You need at least some. By cutting it completely out it slows the metabolism down. Also the less that you have to do the longer it will take your body to burn the calories off.

Welcome to the world of dieting. The first week is usually a water dump. But don't get discouraged. Your body is adjusting to the new weight and the new eating habits. I think any weight lost is great, whether water or fat, (although fat is deffinatly better) also remember since you are excersizing you may gain muscle. Muscle takes up much less space than fat and makes you look great. Keep up the good work, look at this as a great adventure and learning experience between you and your body.
