Not quite 500 but I thought the title was catchy huh??? LOL :) .. Every day I've been walking 3- 6 miles for the past two weeks and I feel great. Yesterday I managed a nine mile walk. Well better said, I walked 3 miles 3 times. It felt good and I can really feel myself firming up.

Hey Joanne! I'm glad that you are getting "firm" with yourself. LOL My brother and sister-in-law bought a treadmill last year. They have hardly used it and have decided to sell it. Bob and I have been looking at treadmills. We live on a busy road and I get nervous walking out there. ANYWAY, we are buying my brother's treadmill! I used to use it at the YMCA when we were members. Really enjoyed it. Toodles!

Joanne your doing great! I have been walking 3 miles a day and doing an exercise video on the days I don't walk. I am feeling better! 500 miles is only 166 days of walking 3 miles each day! That doesn't sound so bad!

You go girl!

And Tammy - the woman who motivated me has lost 40 pounds walking 45 minutes and watching the news every morning! You can do it!

Joanne, does it have to be a video of that guy or could I have the real thing??????

Jen, we have a small TV in the basement where we plan to keep the treadmill. I had already thought about watching the news when I walk in the mornings. Might have to get headphones though so I don't wake the hubby!
I hope I can get into the habit of jumping (crawling) out of bed and getting in the walking before I head for school. Since we moved, I'm only a mile from school. My son and I have already discussed walking to school on nice days. Depends on how heavy our bookbags are I guess!!!

Tammy if your hubby is that good looking then go for it. But I thought you said just now that you didn't want to wake him up while you are exercising??? huhhhh??? LOL

You are talking about a whole differrent kinda exercise!

But really - Tammy Books on tape work for me. You can get them at the library or sometimes the video store. I listen to them all the time. Makes the walk a lot shorter! Especially the love stories!
Keep going Tammy!

Books on tape! Good idea!!

Joanne, I think my hubby is a cutie! I just don't think he would want to wake up to a TV blaring early in the morning since he works 2nd shift.
