Basically I need some encouragement.
My problem is that I love cooking and of course eating wonderful food and drinking fine wines. I have never cared about the calories and just accepted that I will never be slim.
But now I have decided that enough is enough and the final straw came yesterday when I went shopping. I looked in the shop windows at all the fashionable clothes, that I knew wouldn't fit me, then I noticed my reflection. Shock horror!
So today I have started yet another diet, but need lots of encouragement to stick with it.
Continue to enjoy the foods and wines you love, and start shopping at places like Lane Bryant, Catherine's and Silouette. Fashionable clothes in plus sizes...for those who will never be slim.

I understand. In mid April 1999 I to said enough is enough. For months I started a diet every morning and blew it by mid afternoon. I reached 230lbs. I was in the serious situation of graduating from 1x to 2x. Ughhhhhhh!!!!!
I was such a junk food junky. I was constantly hungrey. Even after eating a full meal. It was onto the chips and chocolate and cookies for me. My husband said "It is like you are always starving." and I was.
I had tried low/fat, ww and natural supplement that promised success. Success was a fleeting visitor. I would read success stories of those who "did it". They all had a common theme. "changed my eating habits....started moving....blah....blah....blah.
In disperation I remembered in the 70's the atkins diet (low carb and high protein) I remembered on that diet I was not starving in fact I was rarely hungrey and could eat some fun foods (bacon and eggs) (avocados) ummmmm .
I went out and bought the new book "Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution". I learned my "starving and cravings problem was connected to too many carbs, including sugar (especially).
I didn't want to get any fatter. I wanted to have more energy and I wanted to look good in clothes again.
I started in mid-April 1999. I cut out all sugar, flour and starchy vegies. I eat meats, cheeses, eggs, salads, salad vegies and nuts. You know what. I am never hungrey. I eat like a normal person now and I have lost 32lbs. Yeah......
I now weigh 198lbs and on my way back down to 130lbs. I am in roomy XL shirts now and size 16 strech jeans. I went and bought a new bra. Was surprized that I still wear the same size, but my cut no longer runneth over LOL. Excuse the pun.
I just started excersizing last week! It is so nice to carry less weight around. So now I can tell you. I changed my eating habits and started to move....blah ... blah...blah.
Good luck. With enough motivation you can do it to.
