Hi! Would y'all be offended if someone came to visit and brought their own Lean Cuisine and Diet Coke? My mother-in-law and her friend are flying down next weekend for the annual x-mas shopping trip and we're staying with the friend's daughter. This girl (very thin) loves to cook huge, high fat gourmet meals - without a low fat option on the table. I've worked very hard (even dodged the Halloween candy) and dont want to get off track by an entire long weekend pig fest. I would like to bring something low fat, but am afraid of offending her. HELP!

I think that you should do all that it takes to keep you on track. I would hope that people in your life would support you and your efforts. I did the exact same thing myself in regards to the Halloween candy and have made the promise to go sweets-free for the remainder of the holiday season.
As for you bringing your own food, I would explain to them that you have come so far to this point and, as wonderful as that food sounds, it's just not worth it at this time.
I hope that they can understand and respect that. I respect you for being so determined to not cheat and to continue doing what is right for you. I wish you the best.
Shay
Call and ask if she can cook some low fat foods for ya...

Gepetto, I don't see anything wrong with bringing your own food. Explain to her that you've come this far and figured it would be easier just to bring your own food. Don't make a big issue out of it, and I think you should be just fine. Congratulations for being so determined not to blow it. One of the keys is planning ahead. Good Luck!
