For the past week i've just been sitting in the chat for a few hours a day, giving support, getting support, and making people laugh...
Anyways, I noticed there was a teen forum so I decided I should register on the forums and tell you guys a little about myself, as I have not seen a teen yet in the chat....
I'm 16, a Junior from Southern California, around 245 pounds at 6'0. I'm male and around 23-25% body fat which is pretty bad for a male. My momma's from the south, so she knows and likes to cook those fatty foods that I couldn't stop eating, until recently. I played football sophomore year, and it was one of the hardest things i've ever done to date. The funny thing was, with Football I started out at 240, and ended up at 285...I quit in May until I could get into better shape. Over the summer I lost about 35 pounds...went down from 285 to 250 on a slim-fast diet, then I just stopped the diet and stopped losing, or gaining weight.
I've had a cast on for the past 7 weeks, broke my leg and dislocated my kneecap by just being a goofball that I am...showboating is not good. I had a lot of time to just sit in front of the computer and think at home...the last 2 weeks I got really into researching nutrition and diets. I bought the book Body-For-Life, which involves eating healthier, not less, and intense weight-lifting. I love the book and many of his philosophies. I got my cast off tuesday, and I also got a membership to my local gym the same day. I plan to cut my body fat percentage down by at least 15%, so that would get me down to around 200-210, as I would be a pretty big bubba without the fat anwyay.
I've learned a lot about nutrition and excersize in the past few weeks, and my pledge to you is to share every bit of information that I can for those who seek it.
