View Full Version : My weight...
I have gained 1 pound this week. I have until tomorow to go down... but I am just so mad. I want to lose weight badly, but I'm losing confidence. School makes losing weight so much harder. I'm thinking of low carbing, but school interupts with that too, so I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

Sorry... I was having a moment. I'm not going to low carb, because I don't think I could do it forever, and I wouldn't know how to keep off the weight, etc. So I guess I'm just going to have give myself a kick in the butt and get going. I rode my bike 20 minutes today, 2 miles. I'm working my way up to 30 mins.. I'll add 10 minutes every week until I get to an hour.
I wish I wouldn't have blown it this week, I really need to lose some weight.

Theresa 11-11-00, 02:59 PM You're exercising and eating right.. that is WONDERFUL!! That's exactly what you should be doing so don't feel bad... keep doing what you're doing and keep us all informed on your success :)

I can do hard things!
Hunter that is so awsome!! Your exercise goals are great!! Remember, some of your weight comes from muscles too, and you want to build those while you lose the fat, so even though you may have gained, you may still have lost FAT if you understand what I mean. Biking is great for your legs, and the most important muscle in your body, your HEART. Hang in there, you will make it! huggs, sooz
Thanks sooz, thanks Theresa!

dosflores 11-11-00, 11:24 PM I think you're on the right track, Hunter.
And if you're excercising more, maybe you want to jot down your waist and hip measurements. Becouse it's quite true that muscle weighs more than fat, so you could be standing still or even gain a pound or two while improving your muscle to fat ratio.
But the most important tool in weight loss is one you definately have already. A great attitude.
Dosflores sez Thumbs Up to Hunter
Massielita 11-12-00, 06:13 AM My advice to you would be to be patient, you are doing the right thing, it will happen. Just persevere and wait for the results, they will come! I always think that being stubborn, persevering, staying motivated and being patient are the keys to weight loss.
Good luck :D

You're doing great Hunter. I can only say two things, put the scales in the back of your closet and keep supporting yourself with a positive attitude...it will happen.

Good thoughts be with you!

Thanks everyone, I really needed that. I shouldn't have brought out the scales today, but I did and I've gained another pound. Oh well, I'll lose it again. It seems quite silly to gain and lose the same 4 or 5 pounds over and over again. I still haven't gotten into the 160s.. but that will come soon. I know it will. It has too.
Oh yeah, my new best friend is Tuna. I can just eat tuna with a little mayonaise, and some apples and pickles, with no bread and I have a really healthy lunch!
I've already written in my journal today, and I hate to say it but this morning I was so frustrated I got out the bagel bites. But only 3, and they're not as unhealthy as you may think.
