Like many of you, I am trying to incorportate a healthy amount of water (at least 8 glasses a day) into my normal life. I actually started this before I made serious lifestyle changes, just to try to prevent my lips from becoming so chapped (I don't know if that actually works, but I rather try something like that then use icky lip balms 8-| ). However, I'm not sure what I should count and what I shouldn't count. I don't always get to 64oz and I don't think I'd mind getting above as long as it's not overkill.
I do count:
plain tap water
filtered water
ice water
I don't count:
carbonated beverages
juices
coffee
tea
soup
should I count:
skim milk
herbal tea
herbal tea w/sugar
herbal tea w/equal
(of course, I would also count the milk as dairy/calories and the sugar as calories when incorporating it into other diet plans).
Thanks!
