I was just curious to see what all our favorite low fat snacks are - maybe we can give each other some new ideas! Mine is a cup of sherbet in the summer or low-fat microwave popcorn. And I love to take 1/2 a banana with a tablespoon of peanut butter on it - nummy! :)

I have been craving of all things pretzels. So I eat 18 small pretzels in the evenings watching tv. I'm satisfied and happy:)

ohh..pretzels, that's a good (low/no fat!) idea! And you can spice them up with so many goodies that have no cals or fat, too! Thanks! I forgot about pretzels. They have that nice crunch! :)

Have you ever tried 3D doritos chips? There great. I like the ranch one's and the barbarque one's both are only 3 points a serving. I also like popcorn and pretzles.

Oh I love those things!! Yes, the ranch are so good and aren't they around 140 cals a serving? Not bad, really. I haven't had them in a while because when I would start, I couldn't stop! But I think I could control it now. Oh gosh, I used to panic if I didn't have my doritoes in the house! Lol...now you've got me craving some again - think I'll get some again!

I love those low fat ice cream sandiwches (slimwiches!) They come in peanut butter cup and mint chocoloate chip and are SO yummy. Plus, because they are individualized, you can really control how much you eat! Definintely worth a try if you haven't already!

Sounds nummy - will have to try that. Thanks!

You can get a free e-book called something like "Your guide to frozen treats" and they're all low fat and calorie. Here:

I was always reluctant to try those, but you'd recommend them? I don't know what my problem is - just sort of picky....sigh.

I never tried those, either. Gosh, got some good ideas in here - I'm always looking for new ideas. I'm one who can't stand the same 'ol same 'ol all the time. Need variety! Thanks for mentioning that, I think I'll give those a try. I'd rather try something new with someone's recommendation than from an ad!! They'll say anything to get you to buy their product..lol.

I love all the snacks I buy for my daughter to eat!!! Fruit snacks are good. We get "Pooh." 80/cals a pouch, and 100% vitamin C. Some other yummy snacks: Blue Bunny "Black Forrest" yogurt. 80 cals/cup. It's like a yogurt variety of a chocolate covered cherry, mmmm. Deli sliced, turkey lunchmeat is one of my favorites. 25 cals/slice. Strawberries with artificial sweetner is a favorite of the entire house.. I believe they're supposed to be something like 40/cals a cup? Maybe even less. Here's a weird one--a can of asparagus! If I want a totally guiltless, but filling snack, I'll eat an entire can of asparagus. Again, I forget the cals, but I know it's under 60 for the entire can. Of course, not everyone likes asparagus. I burned out on this long ago, but celery dipped in salsa is good. 2 large stalks of celery are 20 cals, and 20 cals for 2 tablespoons of salsa.

I don't know how diet friendly these snacks are, but I also go for: canned peas, gold fish, fruit roll-ups, pears, bananas, (frozen waffles on naughty days), and bites of left-overs!

Hope you can find something you'd like to try, if you haven't already!!

Oh yes of course - those candies for kids - forgot all about those since my nieces are all grown now (which I still can't believe!). They do make some good but healthy stuff now - sometimes I think more for kids than for us adults! :)

I found the Skinny Cow low fat frozen bars scrumptous. I thought they would be good because they are individually wrapped. It might have worked if DH hadn't gone away for the weekend.............hahaha. So with missing him and tasting one of them, before I knew it, I had eaten 4 in a row. I'm afraid that is NOT GOOD! But I can certainly vouch for how tasty Skinny Cow frozen deserts are. TOO GOOD!!!

Those skinny cow ice cream sandwiches are really good... by me they have the chocolate , vanilla, mint and chocolate peanut butter flavors. They also make sundae cups, which are okay, but in my opinion not as good as the sandwiches. Also , they make fudge bars but I haven't tasted those , YET! Healthy choice also makes fudge bars and strawberry bars and they taste pretty good.

HI...I am new here..but have a very lo-fat snack that is great...
I make Yochee..that is no-fat PLAIN yogurt that is placed in a drainer container for 24 hours and the liquid drained off...you are left with a cheese that has the consistency of creme cheese, a little "twang" of taste and NO fat...then spread it on Lo-fat Ritz crackers and add a small dollop of Jalepeno Pepper Jelly....
YUMMMMM..these are delicious...and satisfying...

Welcome Weezer! (Say, that has a nice ring ot it..:) )

That sounds good - will have to try that sometimes. I'm a big cheese eater and use several fat-free or reduced fat kinds, but am always looking for new (low fat of course) ideas, so thank you!

I love to snack on frozen seedless grapes. I put 3 cups in a pint sized freezer bag and when I get that urge for sweet I just pull out a bag. It counts as 3 pt. on ww and because they are frozen they take me a long time to eat. Another benifet is by the time i finish my tastebuds are frozen so I don't want to eat anymore! :rose:

Do you all have a Booster Juice or an Orange Julious where you are? I love there stuff, If I can't go there sometimes I make it myself. I use 1cup fat free vanilla yogurt, 1cup frozen mixed or fresh berries and 1/2cup orange juice, throw it all in a blender till smoothe and it's great. Another fave snack of mine is PowerBar or anything like it. Some are high in fat because they're made with chocolate or peanutbutter but the yogurt ones are awsome! Something I haven't seen anyone write about here are Crispy Minis or Spudz, They're made by Quaker and they're mini rice cakes with chip flavoring. They are low in fat and taste great. I buy at least 2 bags a week. :)

I love all things fruit, too. Edy's Whole Fruit frozen fruit bars are fabulous if you want a frosty treat. My favorite is the strawberry. 80 calories for a bar and 0 fat.

Another of my fave snacks is 1.5 oz Baked Tostitos and some salsa... and always the old standby, pretzels of all shapes and sizes!
