I haven't been in here for awhile... I've been trying to get back on my feet after being sick. Doc told me no strenuous exercises and to take it easy. So I did. Of course I gained all of the weight back after being sick which made me sick. But now I have a delema and a goal that I'll probably be in depression until I get there.

In March I'm going to visit Maine, check things out, and see if it's livable for me. I don't want to go out there looking like a cow or some "Corn fed Iowa girl" as the people call it here.

I want to lose at least 15-20 lbs by the middle of March... and I'm hoping I can do it. I just need suggestions. I am drinking my water and eating my fruits and veggies... it just seems that I can't lose anything once I get down to a certain weight. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm just emulating the kind words that you're going to hear from others soon, but I think the key is to just make the decision to do ONE good thing, TODAY! Whether it's making the decision to say "I'm going to eat a salad, not a cheeseburger," or "I'm parking as far away from work as I can, so I can walk" or anything, that first blast of discipline is the hardest.

But, you know what? The first one IS the hardest...after that, it just gets easier.

You'll think, "hey, I did the right thing yesterday, I'll do the right thing today, too!" and before you know it, you've got a good habit on the way. Don't be a slave to the scale, either...just go by how you feel and how loose those clothes are getting for the first few weeks.

Hang tough, and GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!! YOU CAN DO IT!

WELCOME BACK DancingQueeen!

Boy do I understand your frustration! I hate getting stuck in those ruts.
Are you able to exercise yet? Even if you walk for 20 to 30 minutes would boost those fat burners. Sounds like you are doing everything else right. Make sure you log everything you eat, that way you can see what you are doing. And watch those labels for the size portions. I found that I thought I was eating the serving size until I started reading the labels. I started doing this Jan.1. and I was at 171, now Im down to 165. So it must be working.
You can do it girlfriend!!! Your on the right track. I know you know that you will get all the support you need here. Its still a great place to be a part of. We are here for you. ;)

Dancing Queen I'm sorry you are going through such a dilemma right now. Maybe start a day by day journal on your program. and when you have a successful day paste a big gold star on that page. If you find at any time you are having a bad day go back to those pages where you have a gold star to remind yourself of how well you've done. Also you can give yourself a star for everypound that you are down. YOU CAN DO IT>>>

It gets tough sometimes to keep strong all the time, I know where you are I have lost almost 30 lbs and it seems like nothing has changed around me. The house is a mess the kids are a pain. The husband is no help. even the dog keeps getting the hots for the neighbors dogs. I just feel like Life is so messed up. But I will lose this for me and no one else. You can not change things around you but you can do this. Keep in mind that losing is not just for a trip or a special event . You are the reason to find the thinner you. have a good day angelmom
