I am making a pledge to myself to get back down to my fighting weight! I'm 5'7" and my best weight was around 150. I'm ashamed and embarrassed to admit it is around 230 right now. I just began Atkins and WILL STICK TO IT! I will lose this weight, once and for all!!! :)

Hey, Grace! Welcome aboard! You've sure come to the right place ( only around HERE you don't have to be ashamed or embarrased to admit ANYTHING! )
Just wondering about your user name. How many cats share your home? I'm a catlover, too; and we have five. Plus three wonderful dogs.
I'll be watching for your posts.
Hugs,
ThinLynn :)

Thanks, gang! You're the best! The reason I posted my embarrassing starting weight was--I have to ADMIT to myself my present situation, and quit hedging the truth. I would be incredibly discouraged were it not for the fact that I am actually in pretty good shape, given my weight--I'm in great health and work out a great deal. My dress/pant size is 16, which isn't that bad considering I weigh over 230! (laugh) In the past I have been looking pretty decent actually in the 190's, which sounds shockingly high for most women. I had a hysterectomy last year and also an accident, and I was basically off work for over 6 months. The inactivity drove me crazy since I normally walk home 3 miles a day AND go to the Y. Thanks for listening, everyone!
