View Full Version : oh my god... total pig-out day!!!!

Ahh, well, I have had quite a day, diet-wise. At school in my Latin class we were having a Saturnalia celebration which involved everyone bringing in really delectable and horribly fattening Roman/Greek food.. and I ate waaaaay too much of that. And then I went to my friend's house this evening to hang out and we ended up eating pizza, ice cream... cheese-strings.. cookie dough even! It was like the ultimate junk food day and I ate way too much. I can't even begin to fathom all the calories that it must have amounted to... geez...

It's surprising to me that I'm finding my exercise schedule so much easier to stick to than healthy eating. Healthy eating is fine when I'm in more control--like school lunches, and breakfast. But whenever there's something out of the ordinary going on, I pig out and it's really bad. I think it's because exercising involves doing something, and dieting involves NOT doing something.. and restrictions have never been easy for me.

Well... tomorrow is another day.. back to the healthy diet.. back to the exercise for sure... I will beat this!!!

I thin we all need a day to pig out and just be okay with it. Otherwise we fail.

I'm afraid I'm too much like an alcoholic...once I splurge during the weight loss part of my regimen...it's very hard to get back on program...I think I'll wait til I'm stronger and just have a smidgen of a taste from time to time....easier for me :D

Stephanie, you must not beat yourself up over this. The main thing is that you start over again and keep up the exercise. We are all human here and there are always going to be times when temptation gets the better of us.
