Hi everyone :) I've just registered at this forum so thought I had better introduce myself:)

My name is Jodi, I'm 20 and I live in Adelaide, Australia. I weigh around 110kgs (last time I checked) (242 pounds) and want to get down to around 75kgs or so (a healthy weight will make me happy enough).

I seem to never actually "go anywhere" with my weight loss, and have decided that as of this week, I am going to do an hour on the treadmill instead of my usual half hour. I am going to make an attempt to drink more water (ok, not attempt, I will)...I have been 'trying' to lose weight for so long now....perhaps I need to support of a forum....

I work part-time in a photo lab and live with my other half.

Hi! Welcome to DT, I'm new as well, but I can already say that this is a great forum, very nice people here!
I started with about the same weight as you and now only weigh 75kg, you see it can be done :) And it was more fun than work to me.

welcome to the forum.. this place is great! i hope ya enjoy your stay dont go to hard when ya go an hour take it slow i learned it that when i was going to fast walking and had big blisters on my feet and couldnt walk all this week.. :( anyways.. welcome to the forum :)

Hi Jodi,

You've come to the right place. The people here are very supportive and friendly. Do be careful not to injure yourself by pushing yourself too hard on the treadmill. Listen to what your joints have to say. Why not check out the exercise forum and walking forum as well.

I live in Jakarta so we're practically neighbors!
