Ok what you mean by getting back to the basics is you want to get back into some kind of life style to lose weight. well dear all i can sugest is everyone of us is different. We all need help in different ways. the first thing you must do is start by putting you first. Do things for you. I know i already said this to someone this morning and if you read it well so be it read it again. LOL.Yesterday is gone. We can't change yesterday's mistakes or any of our past mistakes. We can't do nothing about tomorrow except pray that we get up. So that leaves you with today not to much now is it. Start today with the next five min. here's a suggestion are you sitting here reading this without your water well then get up and get a big glass of water. Try and get as much water as you can. It works pee a lot but works lol.
Come and read the postings keeps you out of the kitchen. come to chat we love new people. Don't be shy we all are here battling the same problem. Be good to yourself your worth it.
See you lighter
Linda

Back to basics is a way of eating.. Meaning eating your proper portions of fruits and vegetables... It's just a name given to the way we should be eating in order to be eating a healthy diet.. Like the food pyramid... If you click on this url it will explain what you should be eating in a day... http://www.diettalk.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23655

Lucy could it be that you are eating too many carbs and not enough protein.. Try upping your protein and see what happens.. some people like myself are what you call "Carb sensitive" which is why I choose to start my day with a protein to help me get through the day...

Have you not talked with a dietician/nutritionist and worked out a meal plan? If you are hungry in a short time after eating, you may need more protien and/or fat. They are what keep you satisfied. Too many carbs will make you hungry and wanting more.
